Methadone Doctor (Page 2)

Hi. I need to find help. I am addicted to pain pills and would really like to get off of them. I have tried methadone and it works, i just need help finding a doctor to prescribe it for me. I live in Michigan. If anyone knows could you please help me? I cant go to a clinic because i dont live near one. I live in the upper penninsula but would drive downstate to get a doctor.....

Nickynub, I saw your comment to Cenna about getting to NY once or twice a month! I can and if you could get back to me it would be greatly appreciated.I need a Doc because methadone is the only thing that works for my myofacial pain. Hope you see this message and get back to me!

hey NICKYNUB, i saw your post. i live in new york and need a new doctor. ive called over 30 places and nobody will perscribe methdone. i cant go to a clinic every morning because of work/family. can you please tell me the name of the doctor you know of. thanks.

Go to your Dr and ask for a reduction program over one month.Ask for Dehydrocodeine 118 or any altrernative substitute if you are not ready to detox this will not work!!!.Depends on how much Meth you are taking!!As this is over a short period. Dr's may give you a chance!!!Best of Luck!

Beenthere: I live across the Ditch in Sault.Ontario. I know we have 2 or 3 Methadone clinics here that are run by our local health board.I am not sure about getting help,since you are not a Resident of Canada.I will call around & find out,What When & Where & post My Findings. I myself have been taking Oxycocet,For almost 3 years & God Willing, I will not have to see the Inside of One of those clinics someday! I I will let you know within the next couple of Days! Hang In There!!!

Had Enuff: You are a Friggin Moron! Do you think the people that need Methadone, wanted to be in the situation they are in?Just because your Mister Goody 2 Shoes,Probably still living with MOMMY& DADDY,You doen't have a clue as to what your talking about.You think you snap your fingers & Poof,Your problems are Solved? I Doen't know where you get your Info.from,But Jack Hole,If you are ever in need of any high powered Opiates due to an unfortunate accident,You will more than likely end up going to a Methadone Clinic,If your on them for a long period of time ,Either that or your GRAVE!!!By the sounds of it,I think It's going to be the later of the 2,Just because you have a BIG MOUTH!!! Ive also been going to the methadone clinic for a few years and was looking for a doctor to help with a RX it is costing so much at the clinic 100 pw and its breaking me!!!!!!

I live in philadelphia and can not continue going to a methadone clinic everyday and quite frankly can't afford 115 weekly and be ing treated like cattle in a line being treated not an animal not a human and padding the pockets of the people working there who usually have no idea what its about if someone could PLEASE GIVE ME SOME INFO ABOUT DOCTORS NEAR PHILADELPHIA OR I WOULD EVEN DRIVE TO HELP MY PAIN I WOULD APPRECIATE ANYONE WHO COULD GIVE ME ANY INFORMATION I WOULD BE FOREVER GRATEFUL

To had enuf: PLEASE, READ A BOOK, inform yourself BEFORE speaking so dogmatically ! So, I guess YOU're right and all the clinical evidence, experts (doctors and addicts) are wrong. Do you really think that people CHOOSE to live a life of misery - to be controlled by a substance that reduces you to the gutter ? Oh, right, you HAVE no flaws, addictions, or skeletons in your closet and are in a position to sit in judgement of eberyone else - and you've obviously done better research - where are you published ?

I have been addicted to opiates in the past.Now I have chronic backpain due to an injury at work.I am hesitant to take traditional opiates for fear of becomming readdicted.Methadone works for me but like a lot of you are saying,it is hard to find a Dr. that will prescribe it to me.So I keep Dr. shopping.I hope to find a sympathetic Dr. out there somewhere.

Guys and gals so many of you are on each other. I have had pain for the last 7 years since a severe car accident. I ended having 5 surgeries ending with a total hip replacement 2 years ago with the Surgeon 2 years ago how this surgery cannot be reversed I suffer with pain on the 1 - 10 scale at least at 8 everyday every hour every minute of the day. I get oxy from my doctor and my Papa used to give me methadone at the end of the month so the side effects of oxy aren't so severe. Now my Papa the best friend I've ever had just passed away Christmas Eve and now not just I have to live with the pain. I have to live with the emotional pain of losing him. can anyone please please please help me with this? I need a doctor around San Diego or OC area that will prescribe Methadone not a clinic.

i have been taking methadone through a clinic for over a year to treat opiate addiction. i was as bad as you are but i were doing them through IV and was using two hundred forty mg at a time that way. i was hooked beyond belief. I should have died but methadone saved my life along with my will and want to stay away from pills. You can get methadone to treat pain from your doctor because it is a pain killer on top of an opiate maintenance drug. . . . just tell your doctor you want to come off of the powerful drugs you are on and you want methadone to do so. they will help you.

hi i am from Georgia and im going thru the same thing that you are besides there is actually one clinic in Cartersville Georgia which is about 30 minutes from my home i havent started yet but hope to soon cuz i have tried methadone before and it really does work its just hard to get besides if u go to a clinic but how i found the clinic is by this number and all you have to do is call and they will tell u the nearest clinic close to you it only takes 24 hours to get an appointment and they will tell u everything about it an i believe that they will actually start u on your doses of methadone the first day u go.but here is the number for you 1-866-575-8186 just call that number and ask for the methadone clinic nearest to you an they will help you and it is a 24/7 phone number... i wish u luck and hope u the best cuz i feel ur pain i am going thru the same thing but this actually will help u so much and im hoping an im sure im not going to experience any bad cuz i have tried it before an it does work..hope i have helped you.. good luck to you..an i have added my e mail address if u would like let me know how it goes for you..

hey d***head that is talking s*** to people with drug problems..first of all, if you are so clean and dont do s*** then why in the hell are you even on this website? this is over your head and you have no idea how hard it is for people and yes it is bulls*** that the methadone clinics charge so damn much a week. I have a 3 month old daughter and just had to leave the clinic because i cant afford it. so now im in bad withdrawal trying to raise a child. I just cant stand judgmental a**holes like you who have no idea what its like. and i think your a little liar because if you dont take drugs then get off this website and stop reading our problems then..because you obviously dont no anything about it, so keep your comments to yourself. And to the person talking about methadone costs, your exactly correct. Its not right, at all.

does anyone know where there is a drs office near dyersburg ,tennessee that will try to help you without having to go to a methadone clinic im in the same mess that everybody is talking about here.i have been on methadone for a good while.if there is anyone out there that knows of any can you please help.if i knew of any i sure would help anyone because i know how it is first hand may god bless each and everyone.

Hi I read your post I was addicted for over four years to pain pills. I have been going to the Methadone Clinic now for a lil over two years. I will say it has helped me, greatly I have children and no one who would help. I went to the clinic with no other choice but I will say it was the best thing that happened to me because Im clean now and have been for two years. The program works, if you want it to work.
