My father has a fasting sugar of 99. He is taking Insulin and after eating he is taking Glycomet GP 2 . After that he is very tired. Should he have to stop taking Glycomet GP 2 or the Insulin? ## Tiredness can be due to a number of different things, including your father's choice of foods whether he is on insulin or not. It is known to be pretty severe if one were to accidentally overdose on Glycomet (Metformin). This leads me to wonder if there are any sort of interactions between Metformin and food that might cause it's effects to be increased or amplified. Also, the fact that he is on a few different medications could be a bit overwhelming on his system. If he's able to cycle through his meds, I think it may help determine the cause of this tiredness. However I wouldn...

this is a round medium sized pill and looks like this GP 12 v ## Based on the description provided, the closest match I'm finding is a round white pill imprinted with GP 127. Can someone tell me how often your creatine levels should be checked while taking this drug? Thank You! ## Metformin Extended Release/ CAUSES SEVER SLEEPLESS NESS --doc's MANUFACTURERs PL GIVE SOLUTION ## Hi Mary, Are you referring to creatinine? From what I could gather, all patients on Metformin should have their kidney function measured "annually" with a creatinine test. I assume that this test provides you with information about your current creatinine levels, however I could be wrong so make sure to double check with your doctor first. I hope this info helps! ## Thank You for the information. I get my blood work done next month.
