Th FDA disposal instructions say that they should be mixed with some undesirable substance, such as damp used coffee grounds or dirty cat litter, placed in a sealed container such as a coffee can and then disposed of with your regular garbage. Alternatively, you can take them to any pharmacy and they will dispose of them for you. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Pharmacies may no longer do that. I take metformin to control diabetes. I failed a drug test because it was diluted, and a second drug test came back as being inconsistent with human urine. What can cause this? ## I am having the same problem. My creatinine levels are low every time. I am accused of diluting or flushing my system but I don't. I take in no fluids 4 hours prior to testing and my levels are still low. Have you heard any reasons why this could be happening?
I've read many articles about the possible benefits of Metformin outside diabetes treatment. However I've also read a few articles about health dangers such as heart damage. It seems there is paradoxical information, countering the anti aging claims there's articles stating Metformin actually shortened lifespans in male mice while extending it in females. Is Metformin a safe medication for non diabetic men, or even diabetic men?

Hi all, I don't have diabetes, however I read that there's a lot of evidence that Metformin can slow the aging process as mentioned in this article among others: newsweek.com/diabetes-drug-could-be-anti-aging-miracle-404370?rx=us I was wondering if there is anyone here who takes Metformin for this reason? There's a 6 year study due to begin soon to look into the anti aging effects on elderly people, but I really don't want to wait 6 years for the results! I've read about a possible side effect of stomach upset while your body adjusts to it, but it seems like its safe and very cheap. So I feel why not start taking it. I don't think I'd be able to get it on prescription though, as I do not have diabetes and its currently only licensed to treat that particular c...

My mother was dx in March 2015 with congestive heart failure. She originally had a double heart valve replacement (May 2011) for her mitral and aortic valves. It seemed ever since she was sick (before the endocarditis dx) that her immune system was compromised greatly. My mom was taken to a regular dr appt. August 6th and my dad and her found out coumadin levels were off the charts. They rushed my mom to the hospital 25 miles away and immediately put her on the Medical ICU floor. When they came into her room to start running diagnostics and everything one of the infectious disease doctors told my dad and I that Metformin has been known to cause death. (My mom was still with us at this time, but we found that she was in septic shock and multiple organ failure!) She passed just 24 hours a...
