Had enlarged prostate made smaller 2 years ago...was 90% better for a year and a half but recently was having night problems with flow and starting. Took ONE Flomax 3 days ago, and was immediately better. Wanted to see if I could get away with every other day. Been 3 days now and everything still fine. I have been taking hytrin 1 mg before going to bed for the last 3 yrs or so. Recently I started getting slight pain on the left side of lower abdomen, which is not deep inside but on the surface skin muscle as well as headache early morning. I ordered Propecia (finasteride) tablets from an internet site (1mg)...i thought they were supposed to come from the US, but i received a bunch of pills from India, without proper packaging. I had turp surgery 20 years ago. Since then I have been prescribed a variety of medications to stop me from having to get up every night between 5 and 15 times to urinate. I am presently taking uroxatral 10 mg and ayodart 0.5 mg, but they are not helping. I have seen numerous urologists with no success.

I've been on Nitrofurantin for over 3 months for frequent bladder infections. I just received a letter from my insurance that says I should not be on this drug because I am over 65 years of age. I get the common side effect of redness and skin irritation in application area when administering 4 pumps of Fortesta. If I reduce to 2 pumps AM and 2 pumps PM, I don't get the side effects. Question: Is my dosage still adequate or this ineffective for the prescribed problem of low testosterone? ## I would actually think that splitting the dose (the way you have been) is the most effective way to maintain elevated testosterone levels, since you're re-feeding it to your body at different times of the day. The only prescription drugs I take are Toprol and Crestor and I take vitamins ## Yes, Adcirca is also used to treat erectile dysfunction, it contains the active ingredient Tadalafil, which is the same active ingredient as that found in Cialis. However, you do need to check with your doctor, before taking it. what is the real shelf life of testosterone gel in foil packs ## Hi eugene, Information from mims.com indicates that shelf-life for testosterone gel can last 24 months if stored below 25°C. Each sachet of gel also contains the following excipients: Carbomer 980, isopropyl myristate, 96% ethanol, sodium hydroxide and purified water. I don't know however if it being in foil packs alters it's shelf-life in any way. I wouldn't take any chances though if it's past the 24 month mark. I took Tamsulosin for 30 days and 80 days later I went blind. Diagnosis "temporal arteritis". I had many of the listed side affects of the drug. Are there other people who are blind after taking this drug? ## Hi Carl, Blurred vision is actually noted to be a side effect of Tamsulosin. The scary part is that blurred vision is also listed as an overdose side effect in addition to being a common side effect, so it may be difficult to tell how severe the side effect might be. Either way, due to the seriousness of going blind, this is something that should be called in to your doctor right a way if you experience it even for a brief moment.
