I bought some pills for malaria in a pharmacy livingston guatemala. I was surprised at how cheap they are, but got them anyways. Now i am doing research on them and i cant really find much on them. They are sealed in a regular pill leaf, they are marked paludol, they say disosfato de cloroquina 250mg there is a small logo called bonin on them, an upside down triangle with a hand holding a bottle and bonin written ontop. I am hoping these are good for malaria in central america, and theres been a warning about phony pills for malaria that are ineffective and are really bad for your heart. Please help?!

Is it safe to take quinine for leg cramps while taking methadone? ## Hi Beeper, I wouldn't recommend taking either of these drugs together, as my findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions between Quinine and Methadone. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Talk to your doctor before using methadone together with quinine. Combining these medications can increase the risk of an irregular heart rhythm that may be serious. Your doctor may be able to prescribe alternatives that do not interact, or you may need a dose adjustment or special monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. You should seek immediate medical attention if you develop sudden dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, shortness of breath, or fast or pounding heartb...

Im taking tonic water with quinine for cramping in my feet and legs and it helps but I have to empty my bladder all the time and it hard to hold. ## Hi maggie, In my honest opinion the side effect list for Quinine is pretty nerve racking. And although I didn't see a mention of any bladder-related concerns, I do have reason to suspect that one or more other side effects of this drug may be indirectly causing it: nausea restlessness difficulty hearing or ringing in the ears confusion nervousness rash hives itching flushing hoarseness difficulty breathing or swallowing swelling of the face, throat, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles or lower legs fever blisters stomach pain vomiting diarrhea blurriness or changes in color vision inability to hear or see faintness easy bruising purple, bro...

I found these white capsules with EP120 imprinted on them! I have no idea what they are and I could really use some help in identifying them! I believe that someone really close to me has a problem with pills and I'm just wondering if I should be worried about these capsules! ## Wow! We've had a lot of oddballs popping up recently that aren't in any of the prescription drug databases. It really has me baffled and this is just another one of them. Can you provide anymore details, such as where it was found and if it was in the U.S.? There is a good chance that it may be some type of over the counter item, such as a supplement or something obtained through a foreign source. ## the capsules are quinine sulfate not used much here as malaria is rare in the US---I have MS and take...

Has anyone found real help by adding this drug to treat Lupus SLE- or other autoimmune diseases? What about the side effects? Is your skin yellow? Is it upsetting your stomach badly? If so, are the side effects worth the difference it makes on your condition? ## Hi Cat, Although I personally don't take Quinacrine, I'd like to mention that it is really up to you to determine whether or not the medication is worth the risks and benefits. Reason being is that every medication is going to effect each person differently. So while one person may get great results and experience very little side effects, it could be an entirely different experience for you or someone else. This is the case with every other drug, whether it be pain killers or anti-depressants, so I think it's safe t...

I am 31 yrs old and have been prescribed HCQS. Will this relieve my joint pain, and what is the pain medication associated with this pill? I know it is an anti-inflammatory but not sure what stops the pain? I hope it's not a narcotic. Help. I have antiphospholipid antibody syn (aps), sjogrens, small vessell vasculitis, and multiple genetic clotting disorders. I have never felt that 200 mg twice a day of plaquenil has helped me much--been on it 8 years or so. I also take 10 mg prednisone coumadin, and lots other rx. Is it possible I need more plaquenil--like 300 or 400 mg twice a day? I'm dying to know if I could feel better. Nancy ## Have you discussed it with your doctor? From the drug information, it does appear that it can be used in dosages up to 600mgs a day, which would be evenly split at 300mgs twice a day. However, you really do need to discuss it with your doctor, because your full medical information and other medications must all be taken into account, before making any medication changes.

small pink round tablet one face has nothing on it & the other face divided into two parts one has gx on it & the other part has cn3 on it ## I just recieved my supposedly vitamin d 50,000 IU prescribsion, but instead of the green oval gel capsules, I recieved a reddish brown tablet that had nothing on one side and on the other side it had a GX on the top and CM3 on the bottom. The pharmacist said it was an old version of vitamin d that they never switched out but I have no clue if this statement was true! I was just wondering if he was telling the truth, and if not then what the heck was I given? Please help ## I know you probably don't care anymore, but its Malarone, a drug used to prevent and cure malaria.
