Lyrica Lawsuit (Page 37)
UpdatedDoes anyone know if there is an ongoing lawsuit against the company who puts out Lyrica? I am a mess from it. Do we have a leg to stand on when it comes to the side effects they found out from people like us? I am a long termer. I have been taking 900 mg since 2005. Is there anyone representing us? Thank you
Im working on something. Mary knows about it.
KEVIN,
Was your Wife PRESCRIBED these Lyrica samples? These must have been prescribed. I'm afraid if she got them from someone other than a dorctor; then there is very little hope for you. It's like a kid eating poison.
BUT; I don't give up that easy.
To Nick: I had a serious stroke on Sunday morning. This is one of the " side effects of Lyrica." I am off this drug as of today. I am not ready to die from another one.
Not just weight gain; strokes too!
Yes that way they can monitor all communications and interfere at will. If Pfizer has this site and ones like it operating just the way they want, and continutes to affect search results on other pages, then it is mission accomplished for them. A job well done right? Risk reduced and reallocated right? but still completely illegal in the US which is why they r lining pockets and have lawyers whispering loads of bs in everyone's ears. They r killing people, they almost killed me and I'm pretty sure they regret that I lived thru it to testify about it. I lost my vision for months, some it permanently, had blisters covering the entire inside and outside of my body and it's a miracle I'm alive. And it is no that rare for it to happen. What is rare is for the victim to survive it and talk. The only real question is when and against exactly which individuals within Pfizer the political corruption and murder charges will be brought first. They cannot silence the whole internet for good or kill us all off, too many victims for that.
{Editor's note: This site is NOT run or controlled by Pfizer or any other drug company for that matter. We are an independent platform. Just wanting to clear up any misconceptions}
Mary.....you are so smart....hahaha.....got the number.....
Trent , all the authoritys need to do is put a Lyrica filter on the net and every time the word Lyrica comes up they are alerted , the system is against us .
Hi Evelin sorry to hear about your stroke , hope you got to hospital quickly and had imediate treatment , going cold turkey with Lyrica may be a nightmare depending on how long you were on it and at what dose , my thoughts will be with you , good luck ..
She was a mental health RN. I think she got them from the Meds locker at her work place, but cannot be sure.
My son took Lyrica for several years yet he remained in constant pain, it destroyed his teeth and health. He died in hsi 40's
Herb , am very sorry to hear about your son , Lyrica needs to be removed from the market , this vile drug am sure could not have been tested properly before going on the market , it seems to work by damageing the integrity of the nervous system leading to many more problems , but all Pffyser cares about is there profits .
It definately affects the way your brain functions and the tests I had done on my nerves (can't remember what it is called) but it showed I had nerve damage. The problem is the doctors are not aware of the dangers. The mri of my brain was on normal while on lyrica. It is terrible how many people were left to suffer and those that died without any of the doctors that prescribed them realizing what was going on. It is mind blowing.
Renee , could you please tell me how long you were on Lyrica and at what dose, am interested to know at what level Lyrica caused your nerve damage , my son was on it all up for around 4 months at up to 4 x 75 mg per day and is still not right nearly 3 years later , i feel that Lyrica effectevly causes a chemical Labotomy , there for no pain ,no brain ,no problem .
I know you have not heard from me in a long time. Someone once asked me what my dosage was. I seem to remember it was greater than 300 mg per day. It takes a lot to get me pain free. I was told to increase it evry two weeks, I do not remember the dose, until I was pain free. I have arthritis, degenertive bone disease, and osteoporosis. I think I was @ the max. dosage for the drug back in 2006. I never noticed any side effects, outside of losing my balance @ home and needing help getting up, but my friends and family did, thank god, that is why I got off cold turkey. I stayed in bed or on the couch, whever my family left me with my food, bathroom closeby with sturdy objects I could hold on to, and most importantly, I kept my cell phone on me @ all times especially when I was alone. Thank god I had no problems getting off. I have gone back to a community college to learn to be a medical secretary. After being a nurse and respiratory therapist I did not want to waste my medical knowlege. The only thing is, has junior college gotten harder or has my ability to retain things been affected because of some brain cells been destroyed. Alzheihimer does not run in my family. My grandmother was 99 years young when she died an had all her faculties. Even if someone finds a lawyer, I think there is a statute of limitations, and I am probably past it. I blame lyrica for my retention and coordination problems when typing. I justt hope I can suceed and employers will not care about my speed just my accurracy. I pity the people , who live alone, and have those suicidal tendencies. Who is watching over them when they decide to end it all by any means available and lyrica will not be blamed. How many have died already that were on lyrica and killed themselves because of a lyrica side effect. Good luck to you all.
Nick- I was put on it after I shattered my thoracic spine and then had reconstructive surgery and spent 4mos flat on my back so I wasn't eating anything and weighed 99lbs. I was taking 50mg 2x a day and I was a complete mess I don't know if you read any of the side effects I had. Also, last night I was trying to find more info about lyrica and I read that you are not suppose to mix lyrica with elavil which I was on while I was on lyrica. I was taking elavil so I could sleep through the pain and the nightmares but unfortunately I had sleep paralysis which I am assuming now was caused from the combination of the lyrica and elavil.
I had a surgeon though who wanted to do carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists when I didn't have it the nerve pain was from the lyrica.
Thanks Renee for your reply , you were only on a small dose compared to my son and that was enough to damage you , no wonder my son is in such a bad state , Lyrica i believe effectevly causes a chemical lobotomy , thats how it kills pain .
Nick - He kept trying to raise my dosage and everytime he did I got even worse so I kept going back down. And the Mri's of my brain showed a dry brain. But no one seemed to know why and they couldn't fix it because I have to much hardware in my thoracic spine to do the procedure they needed to do. I felt like I was going crazy I was suicidal. I haven't found anyone else who had an mri of their brain while on the drug. I had several.
From all I have read on this site, I am beginning to think the reason I am having trouble @ college is from the damage done to my brain while on lyrica. I try and try to memorize the things I need to know for school. I can recall things for a time, but 30 minutes later it is gone. The only way I can remember is to write it down and keep doing things by rote until it becomes a habit, like biting your finger nails. Does that make any sense?
Hi Renee , it seemed strange that they did not know what was causeing your dry brain yet did not give Lyrica a thought , it would be interesting to have another MRI and see if there is any brain recovery now that you are off the Lyrica , also have you had any improvement at all since you stopped takeing it ?
Nick- Not one doctor gave lyrica a thought or that lyrica and elavil combined was causing some of the horrible side effects. The sleep paralysis went completely away when the lyrica was out of my system. My memory is not the same as it used to be and I still twitch maybe not as badly as while on it and my hands don't swell as much and I don't get the horrible electric shock in my wrists and hands. I don't have the anxiety attacks like I did and my speech has come back but my eyesight has not returned to normal I still see double a good portion of the day and is blurry. But when I was on it I couldn't speak, see, think, drive, or move if I fell asleep or just laid down and I am not suicidal anymore. I was told by a neuro when I was trying to get help that it was all in my head
Thanks again Renee , the damage to my sons memory has been one of the biggest heart aches because he was such a brilliant and gifted student with great expectations , also the Lyrica triggered a severe anxiety disorder that he had no sighn of before he started on it ,there has been no improvement in the last 3 years since he stopped taleing Lyrica ,the damage is almost deffenetly permanent , he was only 16 years of age when DR Terrence Lim put him on Lyrica and at 2x75mg as a starter dose this was huge , my son was in the wrong place at the wrong time
Nick - I was diagnosed with ptsd and have been seeing someone for a little over a year now. I have been getting out a little bit more now. It's hard enough with my spinal cord injury the panic attacks I was having everytime I went out didn't help I still have a problem at the mention of going to a Dr other than my pain doctor who I began seeing 2yrs after being prescribed lyrica and he took me off of it. All the other docs put me through hell. I am so sorry your son's memory hasn't recovered fully. I know how frustrating it is for me at my age it would be so much worse if it were one of my girls in college trying to keep up. Do you know lyrica was not approved for children ?
