Lyrica Lawsuit (Page 35)

Does anyone know if there is an ongoing lawsuit against the company who puts out Lyrica? I am a mess from it. Do we have a leg to stand on when it comes to the side effects they found out from people like us? I am a long termer. I have been taking 900 mg since 2005. Is there anyone representing us? Thank you

Hi Betty , i would be interested to know if memory and concentration return to normal after Lyrica as my son has been waiiting for 2.5 years with no inprovement , Lyrica has a tendency to cause permantent impairment so am very interested to know if you improve .

Hi Nick, Hopefully I got off the stuff before too much damage was done, but I'm still not as sharp as I used to be. Takes me forever to make a decision, even at the grocery store on minor things, like do I want instant oatmeal or old fashioned when I know all the time I do not like instant! An errand that should take me 30 minues ends up an hour or more. I can't imagine the damage that must be done to your son if 2-1/2 years have passed since he quit taking it. How old is your son? This drug should be banned, and I'm sure when it cripples or kills enough people, it will be.

Thanks Betty , my son is now 19 years of age , he was first put on Lyrica at the age of 16 and had a total of about 5 months on it at doses up to 75 mg x 4 per day which was ridiculous for a young skinny child , all i have heard from him since he came of lyrica is i wont my brain back , i wont my life back , he knows what he had before Lyrica and knows what is left now and this distresses him , Lyrica has wreaked havoc on his ability to remember complex facts and concentrate so has ruinend his education and there bye his socio economic pecking order in society and his enjoyment of life , the sad thing is that the effects of Lyrica will take many years to prove scientificly if at all .

Hi Nick ... talk to a naturopath or health food pro and get your son on some sort of de-tox supplement. I noticed several different types at the health food store. And try to not let doctors prescribe antidepressants -- they only made me more depressed! The guy at my health food store advised me to get out in the sunshine as much as possible .. can't do that in Birmingham (Al) today because we are actualy getting snow. Have the doctors check for a vitamin deficiency. (D, B-12, etc.) I'm sure Lyrica depletes essential nutrients in our system. 19 is far too young to have this problem...I think you should hire an attorney ... I certainly believe you have a good case againt Lyrica. Please keep me posted. I am 78 years old, but have been active and alert until Lyrica.

I am sorry to hear about all your problems with lyrica. A friend of mine are working with a lawyer. But I am afraid it will take some time. But I wanted you all to know that we are trying to solve this problem. We will not forget you.

What helped me after I stopped taking the drug was exercise and sitting in the sun everyday for an hr. Since I am only able to do water therapy because of my spinal cord injury I bought a large hot tub and put it in the sun and do my therapy everyday. It has helped me mentally and physcially.

I nick, I was only on why lrica a few months, I still suffer from short term memory loss and coordination problems. I hope they go away soon. several of us are working privately to Find Us a lawyer to help us. you may contact us privately

Thanks again Betty , my son is already on a lot of vitamin suppliments and he tried a lot of different exersises including cycling as what you said about lyrica has already crossed my mind but there has been no change in his condition , i still suspect Lyrica actually causes brain function damage or a permanent change in the way the brain functions ., so dont believe vitamins and such will cure the problem . As far as getting an attorney the first thing i get is where is your medical evedence , how do i get that , what test can be performed to prove that ?.

These are recent postings. I am still suffering from effects after two weeks off Lyrica. Toes are so swollen I cannot wear shoes, fingers still swollen, still have aching joints.

this is recent postings some have been off of it for years not all side effects go away unfortunately. But if you are still taking the drug you should find a way to stop taking. But there are withdrawals from stopping cold turkey so find a good doctor and we are trying to find a lawyer to get it taken off the market before it destroys any more lives. They just started advertising it for people with diabetes saying it will get rid of the swelling and nerve pain. It caused swelling and nerve pain for me and many others so not sure how it is going to help those with diabetes. Scary !

Please try to contact me privately about lyrica. There is a previous posting from this site that may allow you to contact me. I do not know how far back you have to go. If they let my previous reply through you may be able to find and contact me. I hope this site will repeat their posting about contact with each other. All I can say is we have a small group working on this problem. However it may take a long time to get something going.

Its been about 18 months since I got off it but I'm still having side effects, especially memory and problems with balance. I can't walk without losing my balance, I walk like a drunk person. If anybody figures out to get a lawyer to work this for us, please let me know too. I've got a few things to tell them!

Betty, there is a previous posting from this site that may allpw you to contact me or mrs wagaman who worked with me @ the rhmc. We are on another popular site about lyrica. We think as one when it comes to lyrica . If you can find me, we can tell each other about the effects of lyrica. I worked nights seven years ago as a respiratory therapistas did mrs. Wagaman. There is an earlier posting from this site that said we would be alloword to contact each other to talk and hopefully find some one to sue pfyzer and take lyrica off the markt.

What is this about lyrica? Now it is given to diabetics with nerve pain? Let's see now, hmmm, lyrica originately developed for fibromalagia. What other uses can we, pfyzer use it for and make money. If anyone developes a side effect we did not see in our control grup, well, the next new commercial on tv when we will add it as a side effect. Hmmm, the feeliing of pain is transmitted by nerves!!!! Hey great!!!! We have the"pennicilin and aspirin". We hadeveloped a universal pain killer,. Let's get darvon and darvocet off the market even if they ha some evil side effects. We can make more money on lyrica, the new universal pain pill. Hmmm, what kind of pain can we use it on. Why, all kinds!!!! Feelings of pain are sent to the brain. Hmmm, give someone in pain lyrica!! Pain is relieved, it tells the nervrves there is no pain. Wow!!!! Relief.
