Lyrica Class Action Lawsuit (Page 2)
(Newest replies first)

Updated

If you have had an adverse reaction to Lyrica, please contact a law firm. I just called mine and gave them my basic information, and they will be having a lawyer contact us. This drug is dangerous, deadly, and should be pulled from the market. Amomg all the usual issues, today i noticed a new one had been added. For males, sperm motility can be affected and children created by parents using Lyrica, there is the possibility of birth defects. Please call and at least get on record with this firm. The more of us who call and tell our stories, the more likely it is that the drug company is going to have to cover our medical expenses, pain and suffering, etc.

Re: Shian (# 12) Expand Referenced Message

Please check out this study about Lyrica and Neurontin (Gabapentin). I've been on it for 10+ years. Trying to find a Lawyer re: personal Lyrica injury.

Neurontin and Lyrica are a Death Sentence for New Brain Synapses: Shocking Study

My husband took Lyrica for several his health got worse and all his teeth are damaged. He had beautiful teeth and now they are all rotten . This company needs to pay for his implants because now he's on disability and has NO DENTAL insurance. He teeth started to change after Lyrica. He could just be eating and the tooth would break off in his mouth.

Re: Sandra (# 6) Expand Referenced Message

Oh Sandra, my heart goes out to you. I was on Lyrica for 1.5 months and lost dental enamel, chipped teeth, and had many other side effects. I'm going to be seeking a lawyer. I don't want to be in a class action lawsuit, I want the dental work paid for.

What is the lawyers information? I cannot find an attorney. I took Lyrica briefly over 6 months ago and have not able residual side effects from it. Blisters are a side effect and I already had history of shingles (reason for the prescription) had out break from August to December along with excema that had basically are killing my nails and they're dying and flaking. I have word disassociation along with memory problems. I almost overdosed and was in a comma for 10+ hours along with delirium and ended up in state mental hospital. My throat swelled along with hands and feet. I have a phobia of taking my medication, confusion and ongoing anxiety. To top it off; I am a mental health/ crisis worker and to wake up on the third day after I overdosed at a mental health hospital; not knowing what or where I was; bruised; in someone else's clothes and shoes; metal mesh cover over the window along with the chaos of the hospital will always haunt me. My mother, sisters and especially my two sons were also affected. I can not recall a lot; it's like a nightmare unraveling a tiny bit each day. I am withdrawn; depressed and cry often. I am nervous and anxious daily. I am not me any longer. If your in the US and have an attorney and think they will take my case please let me know. Thanks.

Was put on lyrica for fibromyalgia- the ramp up dose. Approximately 4 weeks. Was covered in hives by week 4 so I went to ER and had to get Prednisone and Benadryl injection and was given a script to wean of (lower dose) went home and was back next day even though I hadn’t even taken another pill. Almost 1 month later I have gone through 100 Benadryl because I have been breaking out daily in these hives ( they said it’s because it takes the medication 4 weeks to get in, it will take Just as long to get out) my eyes are burning from all the friggen Benadryl I can’t sleep.

Re: Shian (# 16) Expand Referenced Message

Damn straight! My side effects are tearing me down, even taking an Ativan to help with the anxiety doesn’t help much. I’m going on my sixth week of feeling like a drug addict needing a fix. I’ve lost 16 pounds so far and I’m a tiny person as is. I have no appetite food nauseates me. Been to the ER for IV fluids and nausea medication, then back to family doctor who says I’ve never had a patient have all these symptoms like you. Pfizer gave me the names address and phone numbers of their lawyers. I think they are afraid of me, but I’m ready to call them back and let them know I’m about ready to end things!

I have been taking lyrica for multiple years for nerve pain and was never told my body would become dependant on the drug. Recently i had to go without the drug because of a pharmacy error and literally felt like i was dying; chest pain, severe nausea, headache, severe anxiety. I literally had to be bed ridden.. Currently i want off the medication. But I cant because it makes me feel deathly sick without it. Had i known this i never would have started taking it, let along continued taking for so many years. I want compensated for mental, emotional and physical and i want them to pay to get my body off the medication.

Re: Dawn (# 3) Expand Referenced Message

Gabapentin is from same family of drugs as Lyrica. My Dr said not to even take it since I had such a life threatening side effect on Lyrica.

Hi,
I took gabapentin but developed an allergy to it. Several years later, the Dr put me on Lyrica. Now with my history with medications, this was probably not a great idea but I went ahead and started it at a low dose. Any drugs that mess with my brain must be started extremely low. Well, the first week at 25mg 2x a day wasn't too bad but once I started to go up in dose, I began to hallucinate badly and started getting paranoid and depressed so I stopped that crap ASAP. I'm so glad I did. I'm so sorry so many of you have been hurt by this drug. It's wrong in so many ways!

Same for me, I forget stuff I have known, short term memory gone. I so wish an attorney would take us serious. I live in FL no law suits yet. What are we waiting for?

Exactly same situation ...to the letter gabapetin, then an unexpected change to lyrica? dr didnt alter dose...so prescribed 300mg tid. it took a couple weeks, then my brain is wiped.. im down to 50 3 times, and still dumb as a rock...make stupid decisions, snap at people, then completely forget...my mind is ravaged ...,apparently its a small side effect.

I am doing the same, waiting to be contacted from the law firms I called. Get the fda form and report it to the FDA. Here is the number to get the form (or you can do it online) 1-888-463-6332. If we flood them with complaints maybe someone will listen in the FDA who's involved in this to get it approved. I don't know but I'll find out and will post more info as I get it.
