I have crps in both hands from carpal tunnel release...after several months, I was worse, not better. My workmens comp dr. said " You will have chronic pain the rest of your life and you will just have to learn to live with it"...oh thanks doc for screwing my hands up, not to mention how it has drastically has changed my life and limitations. I have been seeing a pain specialist ever since and that was back in 2001 when I had the release. I was on lyrica for the last 6 years, I have been off of it for three months. Now that I think back to when my severe depression started was not long since I started taking it. I don't know how many times I said I hate my life and I wish I was dead, I had thoughts of taking all my prescriptions and going to sleep for good! By the grace of god, I had my four nephews to take care of and I truly believe they saved my life! My pain management N.P wanted to keep a close eye on me when I started taking it, so I went from going every six months to every three months and when my depression got worse every two months...nothing was done, I was on 600 mg. a day, why didn't she try to lower my dose? I complained about the swelling and she said she didn't have any other patients complain, I was taking lyrica for the pain in my hands and the whole time it was making them worse! There were many time I would be driving and make a turn and not know where I was...one day I couldn't remember my address, I couldn't remember conversations I had with my boys, I had no brain! When I came off lyrica and I did it slowly...it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Hot, cold, night sweats, nauseous...I was at the grocery store and literally felt like a monster coming out of me, thank god I am off lyrica! My lawyer is checking on a class action lawsuit, all of us that has had a horrible experience with lyrica, we all need to come together and they need to pay for putting this horrible drug on the market!
Re: Linda (# 275)
So you to! I was on Lyrica for four years decided to go off of it this past October due to tooth loss. OMG I got so sick persistent diarrhea, nausea, panic anxiety attacks severe depression. I ended up in the ER for dehydration and nausea, IV fluids for three hours and nausea medication. My internal medicine doctor put me on short term Ativan. I was taking 300mg daily, now I am down to 50mg daily and I still can’t get off it. I have an appointment with a psychiatrist for next week to help with all this crap. Now I know why people take their lives and it’s scary. I’ve lost 25 lbs and I only weighted 128, I look like death. Which at t8mes I think would be worth it. Funny you read the side effects it can cause which is everything I have coming off this crap, they need to be sued. I even called Pfizer to tell them what I am going through, their reply sorry to hear this. Then they send me a list of their lawyers with address and phone numbers..
We do need a class action law suit. This drug has had lasting effects on my memory.
I've been on lyrics for yrs I m I'm bad shape my memo is worthless I put something down and that fast I for got where I put it I get so mad at myself I cry some time I feel like I'm truly losing my mind it scares me I use to remember things very well my family can see the difference in me as well
I was on lyrica for a year. I also had memory problems, vision problems, weight gain... so determined to get off, going on my 3rd week without it and I am miserable. I also have stomach problems and can't keep anything down.
Same. My neuropathy is getting worse and no one cares. With Lyrica i get 3 hrs of sleep a night if lucky. I don't want to b here because of chronic pain. My hands & feet just burn & go to sleep, constant headache & gut pain, my teeth are falling apart, yet they still prescribe this toxic poison...WHY? $$$.
Yes. I had weight gain and sharp shooting pain throughout my body, it rots my teeth. I can't sleep. Feeling nauseous. I forget a lot. It thins out my hair. And that's just part of it.
I too was also on a Lyrica sa I started taking it back in April my Dr pain management doctor that is started me on 75 mg she was giving me the medicine with the sample boxes that she had before she wrote me a prescription back in May the 75 mg three times a day what I always notice swelling in my hands I just deal with the swelling in my hands and even my feet I was given the medication because I have fibromyalgia and a disc degenerative disease back in June this is all 2017 the pain management doctor went up to 175 mg twice a day which would make it 300 mg I also have SLE lupus so back in September I start noticing my whole body start hurting very very bad it hurts so bad to even touch my hands my whole body became very weak I started having sharp pain up my left leg it felt like my legs has cement blocks on it that's how heavy my leg had became on top of retaining a whole lot of fluid I thought it was my lupus but it wasn't my lupus because with lupus flare-up the fluid do not go away no matter if you stand up or sit down it had me overthinking of death my anxiety attacks head became insane I have fluid on my head and my temple around my neck my whole body feel like it's on fire I feel like I had a stroke all because of Lyrica almost could have killed me right now I'm still trying to get over the side effects to me some days I feel like I'm doing better didn't seem like it trigger off all over again I kept questioning the drug because the more I took it the worse that I got I have been off the medication for a month now that is the devil's medicine
Has anyone tried calling the Class Action Lawsuit site (Schmidt & Clark, LLP)? Here’s the number. tel: (866)-588-0600. This is for the US only. I don’t know what they will say but maybe the more that call and tell them their experience, maybe someone will listen. Keep fighting!!

Re: Kemarie (# 249)
I started 5 weeks ago to stop taking Lyrica 150mg which I have been on for 4 years, I lost 15 lbs I. 4 weeks, nausea, panic attacks, hot sweats, then cold. ER for dehydration and nausea medications. Panic so severe I hated to go from one room to another. Back to my family doctor for follow up from the ER. Guess what.. I was so bad off he put me back on 50mg he said your body will never function with out it now. Just wonderful...he said maybe down the road start taking 1/2 the capsule a day. Think I’d rather dig a hole climb in it an$ cover it up, unreal
My heart goes out to you. I took Lyrica for a few months. On Oct 20, 2017 I attempted suicide. The police found me, I quit taking Lyrica. I started feeling better as soon as I quit taking it even though the withdrawals were a nightmare. I hope that if there isn't a class action law suit there will be soon. It could save lives.
Re: Pamela (# 266)
If you find one let me know I've been looking with no luck as well... However, all lawyers said that we have to hurry because of the statue of limitations... None have answered my questions though... Is there a statue of limitations if your still being prescribed it???
I called them and was informed they are only taking cases related to Lyrica birth affects. I am still searching for an attorney. My bills are piling up. I have memory problems, increased nerve problems and pain along with emotional stress. I have broke out with shingles daily since. The side effects almost took my life! Please let me know if anyone finds an attorney in US to file a suit against this company!
My prayers are with all of you that are suffering. But please, keep calling the law firm Schmidtlaw. I am hoping that if everyone continues to call them with your painful stories that they will start something. DON’T GIVE UP! I want this company to pay for the hell that they put me through although I am past my statute of limitations so I can’t do anything. So please everyone keep calling. Best of luck to all.
Re: Christine (# 247)

Re: Barbara (# 261)
My husband had permanent eye damage also. He was on a very high dose for RSD, he passed away and I always will think Lyrica had something to do with his death.
Re: Christine (# 247)
They are not taking Lyrica claims but said to keep calling lawyers because of the statue of limitations
I had blurred vision while on Lyrica for about 6 years. It helped the nerve pain but then my right eye started moving on its on so I stopped taking this drug. The pain is better but not my eye well never be. It has permanent nerve damage.
Re: Cheryl (# 258)
I’m not sure where you are from but I posted some info on an attorney that may start a Class Action. Have a look at messages below. I think it’s #247 is where I posted the information. Good luck!
I am given Lyrica for my fibromyalgia and the doctors don't seem to listen or care that not only it wasn't helping my pain but it seemed to cause other problems like worsened insomnia, memory loss and I was so high I could not walk in a straight line let alone drive or take care of my children... I wish a class action lawsuit would happen because this drug is the worst thing I was ever on and it's been prescribed to me for 4 yrs
