Lyrica Is Dangerous / Class Action Suit Anyone? (Page 15) (Top voted first)

I have crps in both hands from carpal tunnel release...after several months, I was worse, not better. My workmens comp dr. said " You will have chronic pain the rest of your life and you will just have to learn to live with it"...oh thanks doc for screwing my hands up, not to mention how it has drastically has changed my life and limitations. I have been seeing a pain specialist ever since and that was back in 2001 when I had the release. I was on lyrica for the last 6 years, I have been off of it for three months. Now that I think back to when my severe depression started was not long since I started taking it. I don't know how many times I said I hate my life and I wish I was dead, I had thoughts of taking all my prescriptions and going to sleep for good! By the grace of god, I had my four nephews to take care of and I truly believe they saved my life! My pain management N.P wanted to keep a close eye on me when I started taking it, so I went from going every six months to every three months and when my depression got worse every two months...nothing was done, I was on 600 mg. a day, why didn't she try to lower my dose? I complained about the swelling and she said she didn't have any other patients complain, I was taking lyrica for the pain in my hands and the whole time it was making them worse! There were many time I would be driving and make a turn and not know where I was...one day I couldn't remember my address, I couldn't remember conversations I had with my boys, I had no brain! When I came off lyrica and I did it slowly...it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Hot, cold, night sweats, nauseous...I was at the grocery store and literally felt like a monster coming out of me, thank god I am off lyrica! My lawyer is checking on a class action lawsuit, all of us that has had a horrible experience with lyrica, we all need to come together and they need to pay for putting this horrible drug on the market!

I was on lyrica for fibromyalgia pain, originally I was on cymbalta than switched to Lyrica. Within a shirt period of time I sgarted experiencing blurry eyes and irritation. One morning I woke up and I couldnt open my right eye and tears were literally pouring from my eye. And when I would try to open my other eye my right eye would become even more painful. I went to bospital emerg and after examinations and tests they saw nothing but referred me to a specialist. But that appt wasnt for weeks and by the next day I needed an answer than not later. I went to a clinic nearby and fortunately they squeezed me in..I had a long scratch as well as an abrasion on the pupil. With treatment of anti biotic and drops it took about four days to get better. I still mept the appt with the specialist, she confirmed the scratch and abrasion but she said not to take the antibiotic and left me on the refresh. Well within a day it was back...another trip to emerg ..no answers..than to my doctor.we discussed going off lyrica for a few days. That made a hugh difference and since than I have been on cymbalta. Herein lies the problem, I now cannot cry! Seriously it hurts my eyeballs when emotion takew over when I cry and no tears come out. Anyone else have similiar issues with lyrica?

Why? What good will come of me updating the misery I am in? NOBODY WILL HELP ME! You people haven't. The 27 attorneys I have contacted won't help me. They say I have a case but they are going for women who were pregnant and the effects it had on the child. I was healthy. I have NEVER had any health problems aside from my back. Lyrica DESTROYED ALL THAT!!! I had 20/10 vision, I can't go out during the day without eye patches on both eyes and sunglasses. I have to keep my house dark as a crypt and wear sunglasses inside. It messed my heart up. I will have to have a cardiologist and vascular specialist FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!! I looped and twisted my bowel's and intestines. I have always weighed around 120, 125lbs and a stomach you could grate cheese on. I weigh 160 and my stomach is destinded so far out, it PHYSICALLY HURTS, INSIDE AND OUT!! I feel's like razor blades are shredding my inside's. I can't drive anymore, I am exhausted 10 munutes after I get up. I soil myself.

So tell me again why I should update anything. You all sure as hell won't help me. Why would I help you?

I have been taking Lyrica a little over two weeks. I started on it on 5/16/17. After a week I started having trouble breathing when I lie down. I taught it was happening because of my hot flashes after about two days later I woke up with acid pouring out my nose thinking it was my acid reflex acting up. I also notice I was putting on weight quick in 2 weeks I had gain 12lbs. I took 2 of my fluid pill thinking it was fluid cause my legs and feet was swollen. I have CHF and never had problems with no swelling. I was only given the fluid pills for if needed. 2 days later I woke up again with fluid coming out my nose again but this time I could breath it was horrible. I was scared. I was able to catch my breath again. I sat up in bed wondering why all of these symptoms was a occurring. I taught about what changed in the last 2 weeks. The only thing that had change was my Dr. prescribed me Lyrica for leg pain. I am no longer taking Lyrica. This was the most confusing, depressing, time I have every experience wondering if my heart condition was worsening.

Yes, had a hard time crying after Lyrica, memory loss. Swelling in legs, feet hands and face. Looked like the Michelin man. Gained 60 pounds, became diabetic, and had major depression.
Dr and pharmacist said weight gain not reported as a side effect but from what I've read here, my symptoms r right in line with y'all
Class action lawsuit. This drug Sb pulled immediately

I too was taking lyrica and it caused me to have epilepsy. It or instance 1 day I was watching t.v. and the next I was in the hospital. I ask why I was there and was informed in had a seizure while driving and drive my car up 3 electrical metal lines. I don't recall any off this my last memory was sitting on the couch
I still have the seizures and have to take them for the rest of my life. Another time I went into a black out seizure and accidentally overdosed by taking the whole rx that I just fill a few days before, my husband has to call 911 because I stopped breathing and he had to perform CPR. I've brought glasses of gasoline on the house, woke up sleeping on my picnic table, woke up outside and apparently fell and had to get stitches in the back of my head. There's more that has happened but those are the WORST
I stopped taking the lyrica several yrs ago and I am still having the seizure and like I said before I have to brake them for the rest of my life. I am not working due to my back from falling from the seizures, I've broken almost every vertrae in my back and 2 skull injuries. And severe anxiety disorder because I never knew when I will have a seizure.

You just posted that Lyrica was recalled. Well if it was recalled then why did my doctor just now 2 days ago write me a prescription for it on Friday? It's sitting in my cupboard and I will not take it. I don't care what anybody says. I read all this stuff on the blogs and the lawsuit blogs about how many people died and suicides, there's no way I'm taking this and how it ruined your life and it's addicting. Yes I have nerve damage but hell no I'm not taking it. I'm so glad I read all this. I just turned 65 and I don't feel 65 and don't look 65 and if I take this I'll look 95 and I'll be acting 95 with no memory. All these problems are not worth it. For the nerve damage there's other ways to go around it. I'm telling my doctor what I read. They're wonderful and have been the best Clinic I ever found. This doctor gave me Lyrica, shame on him. The pharmacies and doctors don't want to let you know because that's when they stop making money. I check out everything before I take something or do something. I don't believe everything that I read on the internet but I believe all of you and the attorneys on here also about Lyrica. I read about so many deaths and the drug interactions are unbelievable, they don't tell you that. Good luck with everyone and I hope your pain goes away. I will pray for all of you.

This drug has destroyed my life. It has attacked my inner ears, i have a constant ringing in my ears and buzzing in my head. I'm very dizzy all the time. I have nerve pain form head to toe. even the sound of my own voice make me dizzy. I'm not me anymore.

Plesse do some research. That drug is the same thing, made by the same company. They are all horrible. I am now blind in my left eye frm lyrica.

DONT TAKE IT!!! Brain misfires!!! Brain zaps, double and ghosted vision, unable to regulate body temperature, MAJOR weight gain, dizziness ..... and the list goes on. At almost 1 year later im slowly getting back to normal but vision is still very bad and every time i think im over it ill have another pain/fatigue/migraine/nausea/vertigo episode - good news is the first 10 -15 pounds i gained came off pretty quick but the other 25 are not goin away without exercise and im still only able to walk for exercise and do light housework- tell everyone you know not to take it!!!

This is a bad drug. People see imt on TV and it does not mention that my eyesight got really bad and I blew up 70 pounds. I had been dosed up to 225 mg. The commercial makes all my family and friends say well "there is your cure". This is not in my head and that is ho people treat me.Like Anxiety will flare it and then the tailspin...I have gastro problems, 3 rectal surgeries and severe IBS. My C-spine is wrecked and keeps me in pain. I can deal with that pain. I have all of these symptoms. Chronic muscle pain, muscle spasms, or tightness
Moderate or severe fatigue and decreased energy
Insomnia or waking up feeling just as tired as when you went to sleep
Stiffness upon waking or after staying in one position for too long
Difficulty remembering, concentrating, and performing simple mental tasks ("fibro fog")
Abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, and constipation alternating with diarrhea (irritable bowel syndrome)
Tension or migraine headaches
Jaw and facial tenderness
Sensitivity to one or more of the following: odors, noise, bright lights, medications, certain foods, and cold
Feeling anxious or depressed
Numbness or tingling in the face, arms, hands, legs, or feet
Increase in urinary urgency or frequency (irritable bladder)
Reduced tolerance for exercise and muscle pain after exercise
A feeling of swelling (without actual swelling) in the hands and feet

Hey Jennifer. My goodness, You have been through so much. But I do hope and pray that you are going to be okay. It's sad that you were in your hotel alone. I wish I would have read this sooner maybe we could have chatted for awhile so that you would have company. In any case I do hope you are better and on the mend. God does have a plan for each of us. And he sent me a kind man (the second time around) and we are going to celebrate 9 years of marriage this September. So it's been good. I wish the same happiness and good health for you Jennifer! I'm in FL and would also like to see this taken off the market. I have short term memory loss that is not coming back. And the depression I went thru was horrible

Start by calling your FDA in your state and get a hold of a law firm. End the suffering.

Same. My neuropathy is getting worse and no one cares. With Lyrica i get 3 hrs of sleep a night if lucky. I don't want to b here because of chronic pain. My hands & feet just burn & go to sleep, constant headache & gut pain, my teeth are falling apart, yet they still prescribe this toxic poison...WHY? $$$.

I've been on lyrics for yrs I m I'm bad shape my memo is worthless I put something down and that fast I for got where I put it I get so mad at myself I cry some time I feel like I'm truly losing my mind it scares me I use to remember things very well my family can see the difference in me as well
