Looking For A Doctor In Wv Or Close That Prescribes Subutex (Top voted first)

I know people in wv who go to pa to get scripts of subutex and sell them. They wont give up any info about the doctor they go too because they don't want anyone else in the area out selling them. I am an addict who needs help. I have researched subutex and I feel that this med will help me. I am tired of these pain killers killing my pocket. If anyone has any info on a good doctor in wv or surrounding states please let me know.

Suboxone is horrible, it's immpossible to come off of for one, I was on it 7 months and am now on subutex. I quit taking suboxone and after a care wreck tried again and it caused huge blisters to form in my mouth everywhere it touches. Suboxone gives horrible headaches and makes a lot of ppl sick, and is super expensive. If they would start giving subutex out easier, it would help a lot of ppl.

I was an addict for many years. SUBUTEX is great. It's working out very well for me. But now I'm in a position where I need to find a Dr. I live in WV. But I will travel for a good Dr. Please help me find a physician. Thank You.

I may not have a personal doctor I can refer you to, but posted below is a buprenorphine physician locator showing 122 Physicians and 16 Treatment Programs found in the State of West Virginia:

With such a list, there's bound to be at least a handful of really good doctors you can turn to for Subutex. Please note however, that "the maximum number of patients a physician may treat with buprenorphine is limited by law; therefore, some physicians listed on the Locator may not be accepting new patients at this time."

there are a few doctors that feel that the benefit of using a BZO with suboxone outweighs the risk. I know of a Physician that feels that in certain cases BZO use is appropriate. the phone # is 304-253-5155. they require you go in for an interview before you are accepted as a patient. weekly visits and it is fairly affordable, cheaper than pills!

Please share the names of the DRS who will prescribe subutex. Suboxone is so expensive & the side effects are terrible.

I was seeing Dr.Clark from south hill recovery, 4 almost 5 yrs...but 2 days b4 my appointment they call leave a message saying they lost a doc. So they had 2 cut 100 ppl...and my husband and I was 1 or shld I say 2 of the 100 ppl...but we actually found out the day of our appointment wen we was running late and wanted 2 just let them know we was going 2 b alil.late.That's wen my NIGHTMARE BEGAN.....IDK HOW HE CLD JUST CUT ME OFF AFTER 5YRS OF BEING CLEAN,NO I HAVEN'T BEEN DIRTY IN OVER 3YRS JUST WAT HE GIVES ME....I ALSO AM BIPOLAR, DEPRESSED, AND HAVE VERY BAD MOOD SWINGS AND UP & DOWN,LIKE A ROLLER COASTER....I NEED HELP!ASAP!IF IT WASN'T 4 MY KIDS I'D done HAVE MYSELF COMMITTED TO A HOSPITAL SUM WHERE,BC I AM SO SICK ON TOP OF HAVEN HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, ADD,AND ALL MY OTHER MENTAL ILLNESSES......PLZ IF U CAN HELP ME,MY FAMILY AND I WLD APPRECIATE IT SOOO MUCH.....PLZ

Hi, my gf and I are currently being treated in P.A and are kinda new to the program and our problem is they are making us travel every week for 8 weeks to get our subutex.. This sucks! Our car isn't exactly road worthy and can't keep taking this kind of abuse.. Plus they will only gv us two a day and it works great through out the day but the craving are killing us a night we've told them this and they still won't gv us a 3rd one to get us through the nights. Looking for a Dr. In WV or PA that will start us off on 3 a day and will gv us a monthly or at least biweekly script. Thk u so much for our help and if anyone knows any pharmacy's that are going new sub clients that arnt to pricy that wld help to:)

@Lea I've been on both and have good friends that are as well and I've never ever heard of someone reacting to like tha I mean the one had a little bit sore tongue but nothing at all would like what you're describing.Seriously though I'm not trying to tell you what to do but I'd be gettin my butt in there as soon as I could and if was you, and get that checked out and see what the hell is causing such a reaction, stuff like that can turn out to be very dangerous

I live In Roanoke, Virginia. I have been seeing a psych DR.and also a Dr who will perscribe Subutex for about 3 years: Subutex 24MG.QD, Lorazepam 1 MG TID (Anxiety), Xanax 1 MG QD, Prn (Panic Attacks) Lexapro 20mg, I have been on Subutex >3 years. I was recently DX. Hypothyroidism (TSH 9.5) < 6 weeks ago I was placed Synthroid .75Mcg.qd. Prior DX 2 yr ago Hypogonadism (Testosterone 59). Lab values are 6 weeks old. Jan 2012 S/p pelvis fx appears to have healed well however I suffer from sharp tp dull chronic pain. I'm also perscribed Neurontin 300mg TID. Prior till the accident in 2012 I had an intermintent substance abuse history and treatment including 30 Day in house Treatment in 2005 and 2001. I have suffered from PTSD, Depression, Anxiety and addiction since June 5th 1998 when I witnessed my father kill my Mother. Prior to that no med history. The last 4 years life has progressively gotten to the point where I rarely leave my room. I feel constant fear. I crave no outside social interaction. Wt gain >50LB's, less interest in life. I have been in therapy. Years of NA and substance abuse related treatment. I have regained control of life prior. This is different. I live as a prisoner and im content doing so. "I am scared all the time of nothing" I don't misuse my medications, in fact I have decreased from 3 MG Xanax a day to 1mg. I am pursuing disability because I can't function in society. I would like a New DR to treat my Phychiatric illnesses and perscribe my Subutex. I was seeing one at New Horizions who died recently. She was aware I was seeing another DR for the Subutex. I have little to no income. The meds were cheaper at New Horizions pharmacy. I need a DR who can treat all illnesses. I can travel if medicated. I was okay and balanced on the subutex. A year later I had no libido and they told me Id hit male menopause at 39 yoa. Now 2 years later after the wt gain after more psych symptoms the discover my Thyroid is Hypo. The past 2 years it has been checked and its been normal but my Testosterone has been under 100. NOW 6 WEEKS ON SYNTHROID Im feeling better, less moody and crazy and even morning wood. Still having panic attacks. I still wish to stay on Subutex. I have relapsed on opiates many times with great legal consequences I can no longer risk. I need advice and a recommendation.

That's totally untrue. There are pharmacies in WV that fill Subutex. Maybe, your facts are off but, yes, Subutex can be filled in WV. Also, with that being said, since people began abusing pain meds obviously it has caused a National Epidemic and Doctor's who truly care and Pain Mill Doctor's are all very scared to prescribe any form of opiates. Thus, people who truly need either pain medicine because they DO have chronic pain and/or people who are truly trying to get clean by tapering themselves from pain pills, then to subutex then to suboxone and eventually getting clean are getting the short end of the stick. Call it what it is, but to me this is complete BS because there are many people who want to get clean it's just that most facilities if you have Medicaid (which none functioning addicts verses addicts who work are most likely on) have to go to poor treatment facilities where they are treated like the bottom echelon of our society and finally give up hope. When you're an addict your confidence is non existent unless you can still feel high and then normally you're going to be combative or take offense to the poor treatment provided because you remember and feel the fight you use to have because of the opiates controlling your endorphins which now if you've used for years you cannot create on your own until you are clean for some time. Thus, as an addict you just want to throw in the towel. I completely understand how all of you feel and please don't give up. If we would all just stick together and fight this as a whole for better treatment options in general and not have to be rich to get the treatment (if you seriously want to get clean) then we could fight for our civil liberties. I want to take it to congress but I have no one who wants to stand by my side in this fight. They want to either continue to use, give up, end up in jail, end up dying or just don't care. Come on people, suck it up and let's nip this s*** in the a$$.

People on here begging for help, begging for doctors names & locations & maybe a couple have up information. Why can't people help one another? Peoples problem is their minds are still back in the "Drug World", won't give out any info in fear it may help someone. Same as the Oxy days., nobody would help nobody, just a bunch of sick people begging other sick people to give names & addresses of doctors so they can get some help! AND of course you have those 1 or 2 that might give a name.
