Levaquin Side Effects

I recently took 750mg of Levaquin for 14 days (I've only been off for 3 days). I've had so many side effects from this and just wondering if anyone else had similar symptoms, also wondering if anyone knows how long it remains in the system?
My side effects are: chest pain, nausea, diarrhea after eating anything, bloating, gas, pain in my arms and shoulders, pinprick sensations in arms, some numbness in arms, fatigue, I sleep all day, dizziness, and a weak feeling.
I honestly though I was having a heart attack until I called one of my nurse friends and she said this was normal with Levaquin. But, I could only find generic side effects, nothing to this extent. I've constantly been tracking my heart rate and it's fine, my blood pressure and blood sugar have both always been fine also.
Had this medicine done anything like this for others? It's pretty scary.

I cured my Levaquin toxicity with chlorella. Chlorella is a green algae superfood that detoxifies the body of heavy metals. It is also nutrient-dense and provides high amounts of magnesium and other essential vitamins and minerals that Levaquin and other quinolones can cause deficiencies of. I took a tablespoon of chlorella for 2 months. I am now cured. My insomnia and heart palpitations are gone. Chlorella is also high in protein so I still take it as part of my diet for overall health. The brand I used was "Nutricost." You can get 300 grams of chlorella on Amazon for only $15 dollars. I hope this information helps someone because all the doctors I saw were completely useless to me. Levaquin didn't even cure the infection it was prescribed for. I am now supplementing with monolaurin, a natural antibiotic/probiotic combo. I take 3 grams, twice a day for chronic prostate infection. After 10 months, my symptoms are lower than ever. I expect to be cured within the next 6 months. Thanks for reading and I hope this information helps someone.
Consider going to the ER. They can give you IV Benadryl that should take care of the issue. In the meantime, be conscious of any symptoms that affect your breathing. It's sounding like you may be having an allergic reaction.
Severe hives and itching. Only took onr a day for three days and didnt take one yesterday or today. Skin red and using a hair brush to itch cuz it is so bad. Not letting up Can only take so much benadryl. When will it stop? Oh God when? Should I go to ER?
Hi Dawn,
Sorry to hear about all the bad side effects you've experienced on Levaquin. From what I've researched, diarrhea, dizziness, nausea, heartburn/chest pain, pain in the legs/shoulders/hands, a fast heartbeat, feeling faint, etc... are all listed as side effects of Levaquin (some more severe than others) on the webpage for the US National Library of Medicine (nih.gov). Hopefully they will begin to subside as the medication starts depleting from your body over time.
According to PubMed, the half-life of Levaquin is anywhere from 6 to 8 hours in patients who have normal renal function. This means that every 6 to 8 hours, half of whatever dose you took should be inactive if not already excreted from your body (...and half of that half) with each subsequent time interval.
With this information, my guess is that it may take at least a few days or more from the time that you stopped taking it, before it's completely eliminated from your body.
