Leading Pharma Lorazepam Reviews (Page 3)
(Newest replies first)

Updated

I am really confused about everyone's posts concerning the leading brand Lorazepam. I have been taking the generic form of Lorazepam 2mg for 25 years. I've used every kind, from Watson to the current leading one. It appears that the sugary taste is the primary issue for everyone here.

The amount of negative reviews about this company is absurd. They are no different than any other generic Lorazepam; they work the same. The only difference in this pill is the inactive ingredient, which contains potassium, and that's why the pill tastes like sugar.

However, my point is, if you are a long-term user of benzos, you would have all ended up withdrawing and possibly seizing if the pill really didn't contain the main ingredient. The ER doctor would have been the first to report this pharmacy if your illness had anything to do with it. A negative review does nothing to persuade a discontinued manufacturer to bring back the generic form that any of us got comfortable with.

A Lorazepam is a Lorazepam, and the Leading Pharma Lorazepam is the same as any Lorazepam. It functions just like the rest.

Oh please. These drugs are regulated. You just happen to see that it was a different manufacturer and your anxiety ridden mind went to left field. If it wasn't lorazepam you would have seized up.

How could they possibly ruin your teeth? Am I missing something here?

It's good you filed a complaint with the FDA. I don't know about other Leading products - but they are scamming people with their Lorazepam. It's like a bad penny you can't get rid of.

Re: Briards (# 73) Expand Referenced Message

My pharmacy was ordering Aurobindo but I've had to change pharmacies recently (new job, new Rx insurance) and I ended up on Leading again. They don't work at all. My fault for not flagging the pharmacist before it was filled. Good luck.

Re: Judi (# 66) Expand Referenced Message

Besides “holistic” how do you find a doctor who can diagnose the med you are prescribed? I have never heard of this, live in California, maybe this is something that other countries do???????? Thank you.??

Re: Cody (# 68) Expand Referenced Message

Leading was the worst for me. I would take twice as many to no effect though I felt nasty the next day. Aurobindo is bad too but doesn’t make me feel gross like Leading. I think they’ve all taken a downturn in the last couple of years.

Re: Judi (# 67) Expand Referenced Message

your right about leading, and after waiting a year to find a drug store who carries aribindo, i was disappointed in finding it was garbage like most of the other brands, almost all the lorazepam makers put something in their product that works to deal with the anxiety but it also will not let me fall asleep, so i finally go to sleep around 4 am but i wake up at 7 am, im trading one problem for another

Re: BMn (# 38) Expand Referenced Message

Did you like the leading brand better? I just got leading generic ativan instead of aurobindo. Aurobindo was garbage.

I tried telling my pharmacist that the leading pharma was lousy, and he said "I was the only customer who complained about them." Which I know is not true. He was not cooperative. Most pharmacies only carry them, because most of the good companies don't anymore. I think that is, because Leading Pharma is cheaper & uses less active ingredients than the others. They make me feel lousy.

I do not agree. I took Qualitest for 5 years & it was great. No side effects & even my holistic doctor tested it on her diagnostic machine & was amazed that it balanced me out more than her natural products. Well, of course, they discontinued them (heartbroken) and was put on the Leading Pharma. They tested badly on her machine & she told me NOT to take them & threw the bottle across the room. I already was dependent on taking them & still do to this day, 7 years later. They do have side effects now, because they aren't working as well, but I did feel the difference in the quality next to the Qualitest, and they are not all created equal...sorry...

I just started new bottle and they seem to disolve before swallowed, others did not. Worries me.

We know our bodies better than anyone. Lorazepam worked for me until they switched to Leading. Tell your pharmacist you are having a bad reaction and request a different generic if possible. Next, ask around at different pharmacies for generics they carry. I’ve had to jump through hoops to stay away from Leading. Hope you can figure it out. Anxiety used to destroy my life.

Leading pharma is crap. It doesn’t work at all. I was up all night, because they don’t work for me. It’s sad that Mylan stopped producing their generic. They worked great. I was on them for 20 years without issue until they stopped making them in 2019 I believe. I’d do anything to get the generic’s Mylan made. I’m writing a complaint to the FDA regarding the Leading brand. They need to test them. I don’t think there is hardly any active ingredient. Such a shame that patients with anxiety now have anxiety, because they can’t get their medication.

Re: BMn (# 33) Expand Referenced Message

Yes. My insurance company required I try all the benzos in the class before they my would agree to cover the brand name lorazepam (Ativan) and while the 2 months I was trying the others — klonopin, Valium, and a few others, about 2 weeks on each one (each of the having different sucky side effects), I finally did get the insurance to cover the brand name. My doctor was really great in helping me do this and submitting info to the insurance company. It has made a huge difference for me but maybe that doesn’t do it for everyone.

Which manufacturer of Lorazepam is the best? Is Teva better than Leading?

Thank you very much for explaining this topic in as simplistic terms as possible, so that the millions of different individuals for reasons unknown or perhaps they are lacking in normal average basic common sense; that the majority of the population already understands what’s actually happening regarding this medication and/or any other benzo medication that is currently out on the market because they all pretty much do the exact same thing basically..
I like you have been taking Valium since 7-2007 when a horrible family tragedy occurred & I literally went crazy for a long time.. In the beginning I used to take 10 mg five times a day and after a few years I then personally chose to taper/ I took myself down over a long period of time and now I take one 5 mg tablet three times a day.. like you I have experienced a myriad of different generics that I would get from my neighborhood pharmacy mostly Walgreens at the time over the years and they always had the exact same affect on me as any other one as even the brand-name one..
these people I don’t think they understand about the inactive ingredients and that inactive ingredients are just buffers to make the pill a little bigger or whatever and they don’t actually have anything to do with the effect of the diazepam or lorazepam or Clonopin whatever Xanax… The core drug is there and that is the only thing that actually works for the anxiety or whatever it is being prescribed for.. volume is also used as a muscle relaxer.. All benzodiazepines work in an exact similar way once digested into one’s blood stream. Some may be a stronger milligram or a weaker milligram but they all work on our central nervous system in the exact same way..
The only drug/ prescribed medication that I’ve found that I dislike some specie brands of Soma 350 msg which is a non-addictive muscle relaxer which works really well with any type of opiate pain medication like Norco or Percocet Dilaudid. Codeine morphine it just depends the severity of your pain where it is located and if muscle spasms are a significant part of your pain then when you combine the sauna with whatever type of pain medication you’ve been prescribed it works 100 times better but nowadays the last 10 years I want to say ever since this whole drug addiction opiate craze has been going on in the world and in the United States they are much harder to get prescribed by your physician mean I have chronic issues and I only get a very minimal amount of them not nearly enough that I need but it’s better than none and when you’re a chronic pain patient the way I am you never have a pain-free day ever it’s never a pain free step the most you can hope for is that it is tolerated enough to where you can live somewhat of a normal life where it brings the level of pain down enough to where I’m capable of doing things like every day things but then there are days that I just can’t push past it like right now I’m having a horrible day right now it just sucks for me big-time anyway I hope that this is straightened anything out and again I appreciate you very much for explaining in the way you did you’re a good man
