Klonopin And Suboxone (Page 8) (Top voted first)

I was recently prescribed suboxone and klonopin. So I was wondering if anyone out there has taken this combo and what thier feelings are on the subject?

I'm on suboxone and Klonopin my suggestion would be don't stay on the Klonopin more than one month I've been trying to taper off it for two years incredibly difficult im down to .25 mg and my doctor died I'm having trouble finding another to prescribe and the withdrawals are horrendous any suggestions.....desperate in ny.........hope it helps be careful

What I don't understand is subs are safer than other opiates with benzodiazepines because of the ceiling at16mg I'm on both almost off benzos on a 2 yr taper my Dr died and needed 1 refill to finish can't find a doctor who will touch my taper I'm out of medicine now I have to resort to sound wrong behaviors u would think a doctor would want to help someone wanting to get off a controlled substance

I disagree. There are patients with true debilitating anxiety even in suboxone. If you take as prescribed then your on a right path. Yes there is a risk but what medicine doesn’t have risk to some degree. Suboxone dr don’t just easily prescribe these 2 together so I truly believe your dr knows you best and how your treatment plan should be for you. Good luck in your recovery. Always believe

I would have saved a couple pills before quitting cold turkey as a rescue dose should your wd's get too rough or if you find yourself sleepless.

Any narcotic including Suboxone mixed with an SSRI can cause Serotonin Syndrome, which I can attest to. I ended up in the ER over it. What's screwed up is I was Rx'd both drugs by the same doc filled by the same pharmacy. Serotonin Syndrome has killed a few people. I googled it and read about a notable case.

My son DIED Jan 4 2010 ...He was taking Suboxone and Kolonipin. Do not listen to those who say that their is no danger in the combonation of these drugs, I know better.He was only 27 and had a 10 months old baby girl who now is left without her Daddy. I morn my son daily.

youll get something out of suboxone more so subtex but non opiate tolerent individuals will get to much too easy smaller doses Ive noticed work just as good at very high doses

i agree 100% man i was on subutex for opiate withdrawals and when i talked to the drs i didnt like how the suboxen/subutex was only prolonging the inevitable if you really wanna be clean then you jus hafta quit everything...period thas my opinion ..if youre addicted to something then no matter what program ur in eventually urgonna have to go thru some withdrawals i completely stopped the subutex and the opiates and tuffed it out to me that was the only way i seen out..it was hard and it hurt like hell and i to know a person who died from benzos/suboxone and dude is ABSOLUTLE right it states plainly in the pamphlers they give you to NOT mix those to drugs the guy i know that died was only 22 years old he was jus havin fun and wouldnt listen when everyone told him not to mix those two so please go readthat website i mean it cant hurt right...and any dr that prescribes that combo dont give a s*** about you its crazy ...it states plainly to NOT do that ...man i hate drs...:-) {addict}

I completed a 28 day rehab for alchol, opiates, and benzodiazepines a few months ago. The Suboxen works great for the opiate withdrawal, but you do NOT want to take it together with Klonopin (clonazepam). I did this and became violently ill, vomiting non-stop until the Klonapin wore off. I have been taking 2 mg of Klonapin 3 times a day for many years, and have also been on a steady diet of opiates for a number of years. Since I can't take the Lonapin, which has been prescribed for me, and the Suboxen, which has also been prescribed for me at the same time, I choose to take the Suboxen only. It seems to work better overall for all of my symptoms.

I had an x-ray three years ago which showed clear lungs. I was on Kolonipine at the time. Two years later I started taking suboxone instead of percs for back pain (least of all evils) Mu physician gave me another x-ray for my upper back - something showed up. I now have lymphnodes in my chest. i've seen 3 specialist who all know that I have been taking a low dose suboxone. They admit that they nothing of the drug (because it is a detox drug). An expert on suboxone immediately took me off benzos when she prescribed me suboxone four years ago and stressed how the two mixed causes respiratory problems. Now they found lymphnodes in my chest and are still not sure where they suddenly came from. I'm pretty sure I know. I'm off suboxone now and am hoping that the lymphnodes will dissipate. For all those of you who say you are fine get an x-ray. They are cheap and then you will know the real truth. If you feel good now it's because the suboxone masks any pain. If you have come this far, go a little further and find out for sure. Good Luck!

dude dint u read the papers before u got on soboxines it say not to use any type of that drug because it can cause death

I HAVE BEEN ON 8MG OF SUBUTEC FOR OVER A YEAR WHEN TIMES GOT BAD A FEW MONTHS BACK I STARTED TAKING XANEC NOW I NO I'AM ADDICITED TO THEM HOW DO I GET OFF THE XANEC ?

i have been on suboxen for awhile now...and works like a charm...its like any drug u will and can get addicted...but if u take it as prescibed and do just what the doctor says...u will eventually get off suboxen...then its up too the person that is the hardest part...dealing with life without drugs...my intake to your question is those 2 drugs suboxen and coloapin do NOT go together any downer such as xanec or valume can not be taken with suboxen...it effects the brain....i hope this was helpful to you....i will keep u in my prayers...take care
