Klonopin Blue Vs Green (Page 2)
UpdatedI usually am given the GREEN #98 833 1mg clonazepam, but when I filled rx today, she gave me the BLUE v2531 1mg clonazepam. Could someone please let me know which are known to be better?
Thanks
You must have many ounces of knowledge oh wise one.. Lmao pahahahah
I just got my prescription filled two days ago and got the same darker blue ones you're talking about. I have always gotrn the light pale green ones for years before. I was assured there was no difference what so ever other than the color. My pharmacy changed drug providers for this one drug.
I took the first one and did t think anything of it but I swear I CAN tell a huge difference and it's not just in my head. I feel like these are way stronger than what I am use to. So much so that I've ended up having to take afternoon naps (something I never did before) and I started taking less breaking them into 4ths instead of halves. (I'm actually prescribed 2 whole 1mg per day but I just take a half twice a day).
I've been feeling wipped out the past 2 days. I even called a different pharmacy and asked about my change in pill color and again was told there is no difference....there's totally a difference though! I've been taking these for years now so it's odd that I had to reduce the amount I take seeing that it would seem that I'd have built up somewhat of a tolerance to this drug if it was the same thing. My Dr advised me NOT to take less of my "pin" prescription as it could be dangerous to reduce my meds so fast without tapering down first...but I have no choice. It's either function by taking less or take what's prescribed and sleep all day. The whole thing is weird to me. So yes- there IS a difference to some and it's not just the color
No one is recommending anyone to take any dosages or giving medical advice. They are simply answering her questions and giving their opinions on inactive ingredients and the possibility of how it may change effectiveness. Take this to a pain relevant thread. This helps the OP in no way, shape or form.

SAME HERE , THE BLUE ONES ARE SO LESS EFFECTIVE ON ME VS GREEN AND YELLOW 1 MG
It is not fun living with chronic pain. My functioning in this world revolves around my pain medication. I would not be able to work and make a living without my med's. I hate being so dependent on pain medicine, but I can guarantee you this;it is not by choice.
I was prescribed 1 milligram klonopin they gave me blue ones at the pharmacy and I have in the past taken the green ones in the blue ones don't seem to work can anyone tell me why
They are the same I think that maybe the blue ones even work a little better I get the green and today I got the blue for the first time and im not disappointed at all hope this helped
Does klonopin have a 2mg blue pill.I have seen only white. But am told that they are 2 mg.
I find only the teva brand does not make me sick to my stomach ! Other brands make me dizzy also.
I have been put on this type of medication more than once for chronic pain & post surgery. They are do help ease nerve pain... Too many people don't care to know that they do much more than just help people with anxiety! I also have GAD and almost never use them for anxiety anymore thanks to successful treatment. I am no longer prescribed them for my pain but am prescribed benzodiazapams (spelling) to treat anxiety & Ménière's disease (none anxiety condition).
No. Klonopin is hypnotic seditive. It is not an NSAID or pain reliever.
Read what the RN said again! She was for pain meds. Not against.
Nuerontins are very good for nerve pain and its non narcotic so doctors really have no problem prescribing it so thats a big plus
First of all, klonopin is a benzo, not a pain medication. Please be more informed when posting a reply.
I have a weight disorder I am 400lbs, I eat clean but suffer from cronic sleep apnea. My employer does not offer medical insurance. I do not qualify for medicade. I raise my son by myself. I wake up at 5am get him to the bus, commute 2 hrs a day, do not sit down until 8pm. I am up and down stairs all day and manage 8 projects a day. I am in severe pain, my knee and back hurt so bad I cry. But I keep going. It takes every dime I make to keep our lives going. I went to my doctor spent money I did not have and he said "pain killers was not the answer" I need a cpap machine and to.lose weight! I know this. But I'm in pain.
The blue ones dissolve quickly under my tounge and in my opinion are of better quality.
People need to get their facts straight. Clonazepam is used for pain -- nerve pain. It is especially used for atypical trigeminal neuralgia also known as ATN or TN2. Some doctors use Gabepentin (neurontin) but the 1st line of treatment should be Clonazepam starting at 0.5 a day and then later 1 mg tablet a day taken at night. It is also used for anxiety as it is a "benzo" and is used to treat seizures. Places that specialize in ATN is Brighams Medical Center in Massachusetts and UCONN Health Center in Farmington, CT. ATN is most often misdiagnosed. In the case of ATN/TN2 it can be used long-term.
