Well I had my jadelle in my arm for a year and 6/7 months and got it taken out a month ago or so.. I was just wondering how long does the bloating and side affects go away after it's been removed... I've had headaches back pains, bloating, going toilet a lot sore boobs and everything.. I checked to see If I was hapu but it came up negative... idk if it's normal or my bodies just recovering from having it in my arm for that long... and the date today is 16/10/16 and still having side effect.. ## It can take awhile for your body to balance your hormones back out on its own and for things to improve, according to the NIH. I took norethisterone for 3 weeks while i was on my honeymoon. 3 days after i stopped taking it i had my period but it was lighter than usual. I now feel really bloated like i am due on again and this is my usual period start date even though i only had a period 10 days ago. is this normal? ## Yes, this can be a normal side effect of taking hormonal tablets. I hev inserted jadelle for 8 mnths now and o only menstruated the first 2 months and the next 6 months i did not and i was also breastfeeding.now i hev stopped breastfeeding and still am not heving my circles also the jadelle rods seems as if they hev moved from their normal inserted position.so can anyone help me and tell me what's going on ## That can be a normal side effect of using hormonal contraceptives, according to the U.S. FDA. This is the second time I've had jadelle implants. No period but monthly cramps which are really bad. The last cramps I had were excruciating. Felt like I was in labor. My hair is thinning our and I've gained weight but my eating habits are the same. I'm having it taken out. The cramps are unbearable. ## Unfortunately, Sammy, those can be side effects of this medication, according to the U.S. FDA. You may also experience nausea, headache, and spotting. I am sorry that the cramps were that bad. When are you having it removed? Has anyone else experienced this?

I got my Jadelle implant 2 years ago now, where in that time i got absolutely no periods or spotting or bleeding whatsoever. I didn’t experience any side effects and felt totally normal. For the past two months this has changed however, and I’m experiencing almost constant bleeding. The bleeding varies from light and heavy, the more recent bleeding has been on the heavier side. Is this normal? Should I go have it checked out to make sure everything alright? The consistency of the bleeding I find is quite stressful, and is having an impact on my professional life (Im a white water raft guide, I’m on the river for more than 4 hours a lot of the time so i get worries about changing my tampon as we can’t stop on the river) and my intimate life. I just inserted the jadelle a week ago. A pregnancy test was carried out which turned out negative before the implant. I'm also due for my period n I have not gotten it, so I did a pregnancy test a week after the implant n it turned out positive. Can jadelle mess with pregnancy test results?

Hi everyone. So last week I went to get the jadelle removed but they only managed to get out one of the two implants. I had them both in for 5 years and one of them is really deep so I'm waiting on acc to approve of it being surgically removed.... Anyways, I was intimate with my partner without using protection 2 nights ago and was just wondering (if although I still have one rod in) whether I could be pregnant? ## Yes, there is a risk of pregnancy, not a very high one, but it is possible, especially if the implants are expired. hey i am on jadelle fp 5yrs after having my first born late 2011 now being on the 4yrs 2 month on regular/prolong periods every month but unfortunately missed my period this month what could be the issue or effect from this Jadelle. am due to remove it early December this year. please help am confused ## I've had my Jadelle in for 4 yrs, 4 months my period came back the middle of last year regularly... I recently removed jadelle and days after l started feeling lower abdominal pains and pain that radiated to my thighs, legs, and shoulders. And it's accompanied by serious itching. Could it be it wearing off or a cyst? ## plz help me to remove jadelle

Hi this is my. 10 month of having the jadelle implant and just a few weeks now have been having really bad chest shoulder n neck pain. Are the implants the cause. Went to docs n was diagnosed with gas n given meds but still pain persists. Pls help ## Hello, Igadum! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. What was the doctor's diagnosis and what medication did they prescribe? Hormonal contraceptives don't usually cause such symptoms as typical side effect. The U.S. FDA lists theirs as typically including nausea, dizziness, headache, PMS-like symptoms and mood swings. ## Diagnosed as having gas and given gastrogel tablets. Nothing has helped.

I've had my jadelle for 4 years approximately. I've never had any problems with it, in fact unlike many I know I love it. I know I need to get it removed soon to preserve its efficiency but I don't want to try another long term contraceptive. I was wondering if anyone knew if and what is the time frame between having a jadelle removed and getting a new one? I've researched but cannot find any information about this anywhere. Hi, I had my Jadelle implants removed in February 18th after having them for 3 years..been trying to get pregnant but no luck yet. I've had the jadelle for a year now. It works so good! I get my period every 2 months like I'll have it for 5 days for a month then the next month I get a 5 day period then it doesn't come for a bit. Only down side is my mood swings are so annoying and the bf goes oh no Satan's waterfall is coming?? But it stops me from getting pregnant and eating alot so I don't mind hahaha. ## I'm glad that it's working so well for you. However, your hormonal balance may be off, for awhile, after having it removed, which may explain the miscarriage and difficulty getting pregnant, again. hi there, i am on my 5th year on the jadelle, i got my second lot in last november. i have always bled alot since being on the jadelle and had light brown dischage when im not bleeding ( so theres always pretty much something) but in the last week i have stopped bleeding altogether and have new symptoms, sensitive nipples, stomach cramps, restless legs at night causing sleeplessness and really emotional, has anyone else had this happen so late into using it? ## The level of natural hormones in your body can fluctuate, so it is always possible to start experiencing some new side effects, when you use a hormonal contraceptive. I've had the jadelle for almost two months now, and I've had my period for like 3 weeks now, it's not heavy and won't even fill a pad in a day. I was just wondering when it will stop as it's annoying. I just want it to end and am seriously considering getting them reremoved as I don't want my period to last this long every time. I got jadelle about two weeks ago and there has been constant bleeding since I got that. So I went to family planning and the put me on 84 AVA 30 ED Ta 150mcg+30mcg and told me that it should stop my periods. They out me on it for three months and I'm on my second day of this but nothing has happened! Does it die down after three months or is something wrong? I had my Jadelle taken out a week ago tomorrow and I can still feel something in my arm. Like it feels like the rod is still in there (I seen her take both of them out though)I'm just wondering if it's just the casing that grew around the rods when they were in. So i have had the jadelle in for just over two years and have not got my period the whole tim ei have been in it, then all of a sudden i have a really light period this afternoon with no warning, nothing. I this normal? Or has anyone else experienced this?? I'm not sure what to do; whether it's normal or not? ## This happened to me! After two years of nothing I got a random light period and then no period again. But fast forward to a couple months later and I have been getting heavy periods almost every day for the past few months :( hopefully this doesn't happen to you
