Is There Anything That Can Help With Methamphetamine Addiction?

I need help with methamphetamine dependence. I would like to know if there is any kind of med I could take to help get off of this drug?

I am not a doctor by no means, but try taking an anxiety med like klonopin 2mgs every 6 hours, trazodone, or valium 10 mg every 6hours if you can. I don't know how bad your addiction is but that may not be the way to go. If you have a bad addiction, you may want to consider going to a clinic to get suboxone. Please don't do it alone. There is always help for what you are going through. I wish you well.

I have just now read your question regarding your addiction. I hope that you have found help by now. My daughter was addicted to Methamphetamine for a little while and she ended up in jail because of it. She got help from Narcotic Anonymous after her jail time. She also became active in a local church where she was supported. God will be your best support and will keep you on the right path. Just ask Him and He is there to listen 24/7. Read and study the Bible. Look up scriptures that have to do with what you are dealing with. Teen Challenge is also a fabulous help to those with addictions.

Why would this person take Suboxone? Suboxone helps to stop opiate use, not methamphetamine abuse. There is no real detox for meth, they'd have to stop cold turkey and just deal with the effects or like you said, take some Valium or a drug like that to relax.

Suboxone is not used to treat methamphetamine addiction. It’s used for opioid and opiate addiction. Please don’t give advice on medications you haven’t researched yourself.

It certainly is used off label with Wellbutrin to help people become sober when addicted to methamphetamine. There's been impressive results using these 2 medications, as well. Do some googling and you'll be able to read all about it.
