I cannot take ibuprofin because it causes severe insomnia for me. I bought diclofenaco sodico in Mexico for help with my pain from a bunionectomy but am afraid to take it because someone on this string said it's like ibuprofin. Another friend told me that it's the same as Tylenol. Are either of these true?

The active ingredient in this medication is Diclofenac Sodium, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it is in the same drug class as Ibuprofen. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation.
However, that doesn't mean it will cause the same problem for you that Ibuprofen did, but there is also a chance that it will.
