Are 2 Teva 833 pills equal to a Xanax bar?
Yes, perhaps stronger at least at first? I tried my first Klonopin last week and thought it was too strong compared to Xanax. I also thought the same thing about Ativan. Xanax is so mellow & deadly!
Does a 833 teva the green ones that break in half really fill the same as xanax and does it nock out pain like a pain pill

I would be concerned about the possibility of it reacting to the methadone and making you sick to your stomach.
I'm on suboxone and have been for 4 year's. I also take valium now but before that I was on clonazepam and I had a normal reaction. It helps with my anxiety and panic disorder. Benzodiazepines do NOT make you sick while taking any opiate however it will intensify the effect for some people. But if you are on suboxone or methadone treatment you are still able to treat with these you just should never take any other pain medications or opiate, that can make you ill
Depends, do you have a tolerance to benzodiazepines? Did you just start taking methadone? Are you getting these both from a Doctor? And if so, is it just one Dr, or two? I ask because some people on methadone do not like to tell their Dr they are on methadone (stigma). If you are taking one or both w/out a Dr, YOU CAN AND MIGHT JUST DIE!! These substance's can and WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE!! I will pray for you...
Klonopin releases at a slower rate, unlike xanax which releases all at once. Also i have heard that sometimes klonopin at regular levels will not come up on a regular drug panel. Is this true? Also people make a note of this one - hold on, i am on 100 mg methadone. I have been on klonopin for ten years, 1 mg am + 1 mg pm. I started mixing xanax first 2 pills and after 6 months up to 12 mg my body was shutting down, i got lesions on my lower arms and lower legs that for a year and a half would not heal. It was xanax, blows my mind.
She asked if was equivalent to a bar. No one is not 2 would be of 1 mg =2 mg bar.
It isn't safe to mixed any benzodiazepines with methadone unless you're being provided it through a Dr who is aware of your methadone usage and dose amount. MIXING THESE TWO DRUGS CAN BE LETHAL! My advise is DO NOT mix the two without Dr supervision.
DAMN, that's a s***load of methadone, oh my god. Usually, now the most they give u is 60 in Ohio and heard it makes u nod. And actually 66 I think is the highest they give u here. Do u live in Michigan? Cuz one of the states gives that much and I thought it was Michigan.

Do you have to see a psychiatrist to get your nerve pills cause I take seizures and where I'm in the suboxone clinic they took mine and can't find a Dr that will right them even my neurologist won't give them back to me he after I quit the clinic for a while he'd SEE abt letting me have them back.. pls help if possible seizures is the worst thing I've ever had in my life I have 3 to 4 a month

I am on 70mg liquid methadone n took 2mg yellow Xanax bars n 1mg blue footballs (Xanax) but they built up a tolerance so fast I was running out. Now I take three 1mg Klonopin a day. Sometimes my pharmacy has blue ones with a C1 on them now. They are light green with Teva one side n 833 on the other. Idk. I don't take it to feel high but Klonopin n valium take a while to feel, and the half-life is much longer n I mean maybe an hr or so, not days. Xanax n Ativan take effect quickly but also leave quickly. And 1mg of Ativan is only equal to 1mg of Xanax as 10mg of Valium is equal to 1mg of Xanax. The only 2 that are really equal are Xanax n Klonopin in mgs. One just takes effect faster n leaves faster. Personally, I switched because I need a longer acting benzo. As for methadone if I take a benzo within a 15-30 minutes window of dosing I get sleepy, but if I take my benzo hours before or after I'm ok. Just be really careful.

I have the same exact question. The green ones I just got from the pharmacy don't seem to work.
Pretty much I realized actually they do have that minty taste - if you chew them and swallow you will feel that minty sensation in your chest and I can feel it in my mouth, but after a few days I felt so much better and stable and even no anxiety no issues sleeping with the klonopin. It stays with you longer, it is mellow and I don't have to take a ton just to relieve my anxiety issues. And I am sleeping later and not waking up jittery. I still have access to the xanax each month but I figure I may just put those to the side until I need them or I save them. Since I am decreasing my methadone I want to have some comfort meds when I get to that 30mg and below phase. I don't want to stop and be stuck at a low mg that I can't get past. I want to go on down to like 5mg and just jump off and have those meds available for feeling crappy and they help with that anxiousness and edgy part and sleep and I will buy immodium and get some leg cramp meds; actually vitamin d works well for leg cramping, so I am just getting pre-ready, but the klonopin 1mg teva 833 is working great and if you take 2 it's equal to 2mg of xanax, it just takes a bit longer to feel it.
Holli (# 16) - I have light green Teva 833 and they seem to work fine. It may take a few days sometimes with Klonopin but it has actually really helped me immensely. I am not eating handfuls of Xanax to keep getting the anxiety under control every time the Xanax wears off every 6-8 hrs. The klonopin stay with me many many hours and I am mellow, relaxed, no anxiety and not anxious. I think Xanax patients are use to that BAM it hits you and you feel all sleepy and messed up. I mean if you eat a lot of any benzo it will do that, just Xanax you don't have to take too many and it takes effect quickly, but it is also addictive, so I switched to klonopin and feel SOOOO much better. The light green teva work for me.

What state are you in? Some states are different but most clinics have a benzo contract for people that may HAVE to take them for issues of health that other mediation is just not an option for. I know the clinic I go to you see a Dr or Psych and tell them I am on methadone and tell them about the paper and show them the paper and if that Dr says that you have to for say take Klonopin 3x day for seizures and no other seizure medication will do because you've been on it or whatever his reason he states that on the paper and even can talk with the Dr at the clinic cause the clinic is going to count that klonopin every day; so if your own Dr and the clinic Dr have the benzo agreement all straight you should be ok. It's a signed contract that you will take them as advised and they are to be counted each day by a dosing nurse and it's as easy as that. Idk what state you are in but usually that contract is in the intake paperwork or the book that shows the policies, so you can look up their benzo policy and each clinic has contact people and #s you can contact if you are having an issue.

I’ve never seen anything like this in my life it’s so weird because I am at 100 mg in the morning and 57 mg at night and I know of plenty of people that are in higher doses so to see that they only give 60 or 66 mg in certain states, especially where these days everything is fentanyl, it’s just weird. Thankfully, I skipped the fat Noll days, but however, been met on methadone for way too long and I feel as if at least. Because I don’t do any other drugs and got taken off of clonazepam cold turkey however, in waiting to find another doctor I was just looking at the info to see if there are any green clonazepam that don’t taste like mint and then I saw this.

I got up to 220 twice a day and it was awful. It doesn't make you high. It makes you sick. But I'm sick to begin with and that's when things were getting bad for me anyway so who knows, both played a large role. I literally slept almost nonstop for 2 years. I was on 2mg of Klonopin twice a day too.

But just to add to this. Everything you said is 100% right, and I too have a genetic syndrome that causes me to metabolize meds very quickly and to tolerate much higher dosages. Unfortunately it's why I am on methadone at 115mg twice a day (it was 220mg twice a day) for very severe chronic pain due to daily major joint dislocations and subluxations. And I have severe chronic illness and have a port and a PICC line and a feeding tube ugh. Yeah. I was a nurse for 12 years before I became too sick to work. I am on 1mg of Klonopin 3 times a day and am followed by several doctors and specialists who are all on board with everything I am prescribed. It has been 10 years now come April of 2022 that I started taking methadone. It helped my pain and was the only thing that I didn't build a severe tolerance to. About the Narcan (and I know these messages are all old, sorry, but maybe what I say can help someone), anyone taking pain medication and benzos together should keep Narcan in their home to be safe. Especially if they are not being prescribed one or the other...which I am warning you not to do. However, people do what they want and people have desires to abuse them so ?? my recommendation is to have Narcan, and even if you take opiates that you aren't used to. Especially if you take H or Fenanyl. (Most heroin is full of Fentanyl anyway). If you have narcan and you need it, you will not be awake to administrator to yourself. You will not be breathing typically or close to it. (Whoever said your heart will just stop is wrong, you stop breathing which leads to death and that's when your heart stops. CPR is seldom successful so be aware of that too. Get the ambulance there immediately. Don't hide drugs first. The law states if you call an ambulance to help an overdosed person you will not be charged with anything. I know this for sure to be true. Do not wait. Give the narcan if you can't wake the person up. If they are sitting up and hunched over move them to the floor and turn them on their side.
My point was to begin with, in order to use narcan, someone else has to be there. So if you are questioning whether you should do it or not, don't do it alone and let them know what you are doing and give them the narcan and instructions how to use it before you take anything. Also, narcan only works for opiates. Methadone included. But NOT for benzos. So if you take too much Klonopin or Xanax, someone needs to call 911 so you need someone else there who is aware of what you're doing and what to do if you nod out and can't be woken up fully. It's better to call than to worry about getting in trouble because no one will get in trouble. And the person or you can die. So these MEDICATIONS are not to be "taken lightly" ?? well they should be under a doctor's supervision period.

Yes. I am on methadone. Under a doctor's supervision. I am also on Klonopin under my doctor's supervision. You are playing with fire if you think you can just take methadone at that dose if not prescribed all by itself but to mix a benzoyl with an opiate (and methadone is a synthetic opiate) you can die. It causes you to forget to breathe and most opiate deaths were from mixing the two. Do yourself a favor and don't take controlled substances that aren't prescribed to you and followed by a doctor. Please. I know this is an old post. I stumbled across this and wanted to just answer the question. I was a nurse for 12 years and now I am on both methadone and Klonopin but I have been for years and I am strictly followed by my doctors.

My friend tried to come off Xanax after only 2 years of taking it as prescribed. She wasn't on a lot. She tried under a doctor's very close supervision and had major major problems with a thing known as "benzo withdrawal syndrome" which is very very common. She had severe chronic fatigue, extreme light and sound sensitivity, depersonalization (where you literally feel like you aren't you) and derealizatiin (where you feel like you're in an alternate reality, like a parallel universe or in a dreamlike fugue state). She started having seizures and as you mentioned the sores, she has lesions on her body and was having urinary incontinence. She couldn't get off of them and tried for 2 years and took her own life. It was awful to watch her lose herself like that. I know that's different than what you went through. I mean I was a nurse and am chronically ill which has left me unable to work. I take Klonopin and fortunately when I have gone off of it, even cold turkey (not by my own accord, I was in the ICU with heart failure and they d/c'd all my meds cold turkey including NY methadone) I haven't had problems coming off Klonopin. But Xanax I had seizures even when I tried to go very slowly. There is something very different about Xanax. I'm sorry you went through that with the lesions. It's awful, medications can have severe and scary, even deadly side effects. I have had depersonalization and dereliction with my chronic illness but never to the extent my friend did and it's absolutely terrifying. She didn't leave her house for a year. I would have felt there was no way out too I think. I mean it just kept getting worse. Very very sad. She was an incredible person.

I know this is old. But yes, you are right. Klonopin does not show up on urine labs. I think there are more comprehensive tests that it will show up in. And I would imagine it will show up in a blood test. I am on methadone and my clinic does random urine screening. Although they are aware I take Klonopin, they always question me because it doesn't show up. Even my doctor's office has questioned me about it. They worry if it's not showing up under benzodiazepines than am I even taking my medication as directed and if not who is? Such as am I selling it? It's funny when your own doctor who prescribes the medication to you asks you why it isn't showing up. I am with a PCP who hires Nurse Practitioners who are doing rotations for one year at a time. They don't usually stay on because he's an ass. So I have to train a new one to my very complex medical conditions due to a rare genetic syndrome every year. My syndrome also makes me metabolize medication and nutrition very strangely so that is another reason they never see my Klonopin show up.

Me too. I'm on 165mg of methadone, since feb 10, 2016. I started @ 187, dropped to 165, and now I’m down to 130! I know it’s taking me a long time. Butttt guess what? Idgaf! I’m doing what works for me, because I’m not doing this s*** for no one else but me, then my kids & family! Anyways... I take xanax and klonopin to help w/ my anxiety, and sleep- I haven’t gotten one full night of sleep since I stopped opiates! Pisses me off. I get prescribed seroquel 100mg for my insomnia. I just get the benzos every once in a while. I was taking bars while I was on 187mg of methadone, but methadone doesn’t make me nod or make my head go in between my legs, smh. Good luck!
