I was initially thinking that they might be the same drug with a lesser dosage, but this particular pill I came across is made here in the US. It's identified as a 10mg Hyoscyamine sulfate tablet, used for GI tract disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome and other related conditions. I noticed that they also make a 20mg version as well, ...
Hi I have IBS and was prescribed bentyl which iv been on before. My question is to know how long it remains in your system. The reason I ask is I am still parochially breastfeeding. I know I can not take it while I breast freed but is there a window before each pill that I could breastfeed. Example would be take a pill in the am an the following am breastfeed before I take my next pill ## Hello, Trinity! How are you? No, due to the way it processed through the body and can linger in the breast milk, it's use should just be avoided, while breast feeding. Side effects to this medication may include drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision and stuffy nose. Is there anything else I can help with?

My mother's nursing home says they can no longer give my mother this drug because it is no longer being made. Is this true? Two days without the drug and she starts throwing up from too much saliva in her stomach. She is 89 and will die without it. Is there another equivalant drug avaliable?? Please tell me where to turn. Thanks so much. Virginia Holloway Baton Rouge, La. vaholloway at aol ## Hi Virginia, From what I found, it is just a rumor that it has been withdrawn from the market. "RUMOR: Hyoscyamine (Levsin, Levbid, etc) is going off the market. TRUTH: All hyoscyamine products are unapproved. They came on the market before FDA approval was required. The FDA hasn't taken any action against these products...yet. But several companies have voluntarily withdrawn their prod...

I contacted Valeant Assistance Drug Program and I was faxed the proper papers to complete and have my Gastro. Doc. fill out and submit a script along with my SS earnings for 2013. This was done on 7/7/14. If would be approved the drug would cost me nothing!! Well this afternoon (7/22/14) I received a call from them and they did not approve me for the drug because I have AVMED/Medicare even though my insurance will not fill the script. This really sucks. What does a person have to do to get the proper medicine for IBS. Bentyl doesn't work, I got very sick from it. I am clueless and very upset about this. ## Hello, Janice! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem that you're having. Has your insurance given any specific reason why they won't cover it? That might be somet...

Can you post back with a list of products/medications you were taking? If so, I will gladly check for you. ## I am allowed 300 mg. of Trazadone daily, but recently took 3 mg. of Vailum, about 3 days before urine test. Doctor prescribed trepeline for treatment of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) about 5 years ago as its supposed to slow down my stomach digestion process. Im not too convinced, are there any natural medicines I can take instead of trepeline? Reduced dosage down to 10mg and only take 1 in a 3 day cycle, I have trouble sleeping if I stay off it for longer than 3 days... Stomach starts running too. ## Hello, Deepguy! How are you? Yes, if you stop it without doing a very slow taper, you will experience some withdrawal effects, such as what you've described. The difference between it and the natural stuff is that this medication is actually proven to work. The natural substances aren't, so of course your doctor is going to want you to take something that has been proven to have the des...

I HAD MY PACEMAKER ON 24.03.14. DUE TO COPD IWAS PRESCRIBED OMNACORTIL 30MG FOR 2WKS AND THEN TAPPERED TO 20MG FOR ANOTHER 2 WKS. WITHIN 2 WKS MY STOMACH UPSETS SEVERELY & MY DOCTOR CURED IT WITH SATROGYL O. NOW , MY BP REMAINS VERY LOW, SOMETIMES EVEN BELOW 100-65. NOW I AM PRECRIBED WITH CARNI Q AND LIBRAX. Updated in LibraxI recently went on to AvMed/Medicare in July 2013 and now my Librax and generic are not covered by Medicare. I was given Bentyl and took it for a few weeks and got very, very sick from it. It took about 3 weeks to finally get the Bentyl out of my system.I think this is outrageous that they do not cover for this medication. I started taking it in Nov. 2011 and had great results. I have battling this since I was 24 and now I am 65 and was so happy to finally start to feel good. When I worked they always deducted for Medicare and we have a deduction on our monthy SS checks so why can't we get what we need. In the long run people will be going to the doctor's more often and having test and will cost the insurance company more money. Looks like we have to be indegent or come off a bo...
Can I take Bentyl that expired 8/10, 9 months ago? ## As with anything, whether it be drugs, food or drink, you should not take them if they are out of date. The date is on the packet for your safety, and you could experience more adverse effects from taking out of date medication. Also some medications can begin to loose their effectiveness passed the expiration date, so it would be best in your case to just request a new prescription given the length of time that it has been out of date. However, if you'd really like to be certain about the pills degradation, you would have to take them to a lab and have them evaluated for quality assurance. I don't know how to go about that procedure, but I am sure it will be cheaper and less stressful to just get a refill. ## Check with your...

I have been told by my Dr that I have stasis dermetitis. I have been put on 1500 mg of sodium per day. I have been on this diet for approximately 3 months and am still struggling with water retention. I also take a lot of meds for pain along with amitiza for constipation, so would like to know if any of the meds I am on contain sodium. I truly count and weight all my food so I do not go over. My heart test came back good and I do not have congestive heart problems. Thank you for any information you can give in this matter. ## Hello, Karen! How are you? How to get rid of all? My all body reports are normal.. ## I was suffering from hyper acidity since the age of 16years , loss of appetite and general weakness, sometimes fever. I underwent thorough check up at Bombay Hospital under well known gastroenterologist. No clinical evidence was seen after 15 days of hospitalization and lot of tests. This was in the year 1973. Doctor probably thought it is only a psychological case, told me accordingly and hence prescribed larpose 1 mg one daily. I was unaware of all this and continued it for years together. later on I came...
I need to buy Sertal Compuesto in Los Angeles, CA. Does anyone know about its availability over the counter? ## From what I can gather, this medication is not available in the U.S. Propinox + Lysine Clonixinate are however reported to be the active ingredients in this medication. I would consider searching for these ingredients or asking your local pharmacy about their availability. Serial compuesto is an antispasmodic, analgesic drug, so finding similar properties among other drugs is also an option. You can view a PDF of the brochure for serial compuesto in the link below (it is in spanish though, so you may have to use a translator): I hope this helps! ## It's not available in USA, but I get it when I go to my country. It's another antispasmodic. Please ask your doctor for wh...
