Has anyone taken Remicade for Crohn's Arthritis? I also have had surgery for a small tumor of the kidney which was cancerous. ## Remicade is an immunosuppressant medication. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, irritability, and weight changes. Are you on any other medications? How are your kidneys doing? Was the cancer malignant, or benign? ## Thanks for replying...his cancer was malignant, but (no treatments required). He has been on prednisone since 1991 - 10 milligrams. He is taking 6-9 tylenol for arthritis daily and 2 atasol 30s each day. He isn't doing very well because the drugs he is currently on isn't helping with his mobility.

I was on Enbrel for yrs when it stopped being effective, my dr switched me to Humira. First injection went fine. As my aches got worse (until it kicks in) I was anxious for my second injection. Yes they sting pretty bad but not as bad as the RA. I am greatful for the meds. After the second injection, I noticed the first injection sight was red and puffy. Do I need to worry? I just want it to work! ## You should probably have it looked at, to be sure. It seems odd that a new injection would cause a reaction at the old site. How close were they administered? ## I had the same happen. I called Humira and they had never heard of it. I've been on it 3 months now. That was the only time it happened. I was letting it sit out to room temp. It doesn't tell you to. Believe it or not it di...

Does anyone know if I can get flu jab.while on Humira.? ## Yes, I have been on Humira and get a flu shot every year. I understand you can get the shot ,but not the vaccine that is administered through the nose. ## Yes. My doctor at Mayo insisted. From all I’ve read- all get an appointment at Mayo Clinic they’ll get you hooked up with a support nurse at Humira. I’m in my fourth month for Crohns- soooo much better but wish I could talk to others to compare notes.

I've been taking Humira for about three years. I recently caught my first bacterial infection. It is called campylobacter. I was told by doctor that campylobacter is a common bacteria but because of my compromised immune system due to humira use the bacteria invaded my system and made me very ill. Easily conquered with anti biotics but not pleasant at all. Severe diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, fever of 103 for about 5 days and dehydration. I believe I got the bacteria from a deli sandwich but am not entirely sure but that was the only thing I ate the day before my symptoms started. I was in quarantine in the hospital for 5 days. This is the only bacterial infection that I have come across during the three years I have taken Humira. ## Hello, Patti! How are you feeling? I'm ve...

I’m on Humira (adalimumab) for RA joint pain and would like to know how other people are doing on it? I’m doing great. ## So very glad that it is working so well for you! As with any medication, there are those, such as you, that have had great results using it, and some that haven't had such good luck. Have you experienced any of the listed side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle pain, or any others that the FDA warns about? ## The only side effect I get is blurry vision which I don’t like but that could also be coming from the RA or fibro, or prednisone. It’s hard to tell which is causing it. I did see a eye Dr to make sure.

I have been on Humira for about a year and a half. It has been very good for me. I noticed right from the beginning that I had a lot of swelling in my body but mostly in my feet and lower legs. About 7-9 lbs in the week of my injection. I decided that I could handle it and it was much better than the Psoriatic Arthritis AND my skin cleared about 95%. I have always had a lot of sinus and ear infections so I have to take antibiotics for a lot longer now when I get one and sometimes I have to stop the injections until it clears up. This past month or 2 I am noticing very easy bruising. Does this make sense or ring true for anyone else? ## Hello, Aka! How are you doing? Yes, all of these symptoms make sense. They are all listed under the possible side effects of Humira, as listed by the FDA...

I started cellcept yesterday for a liver problem. It says I can't eat 2 hours before and 4 hours after. I would like to know does that include popsicles? ## Hello, Brenda! How are you? Popsicles are actually considered a clear liquid, so it should be fine, unless you've been instructed otherwise. They are just like ice chips, but with flavor. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including diarrhea, stomach pain, weight loss, cough and pale skin. Is there anything else I can help with? ## No thats all. Thank You so much Verwon that was very helpful. ## I hope not!! I seem to be addicted to popsicles!! I eat three or four a day??? The cellcept and cymbolta makes my mouth so dry!! ## am taking Cellcept, how long after taking it can I eat?

new drug for lupus ## I am on daily of 3000mg of cell cep for threatment of Pemphagus.are there any long term usage side effects?I have been on it close to four years .any chance of weaning the medication out? ## Did you mean the immunosuppressive drug Cellcept? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, vomiting, headache, and runny nose. As to long term side effects, there are always risks with taking any medication, such as liver damage, or kidney damage. As to weaning off of it, the really depends on the severity of your condition, and what your doctor thinks you should do.

I am starting cellcept tomorrow so that I can finally go off of imuran and eventually prednisone. Have been on many meds for 16 yrs after being diagnosed with dermatomyositis. Also have fibromyalgia...hope to hear from someone who has had success with this medication. The Doctor has a lot of positive things to say about this med including little or no side affects. Looking forward to hearing from you. ## I have pulmonary fibrosis & am starting cellcept now. I've been on lots of other meds but it just keeps getting worse. They took me off cytoxan after 6 months. That didnt stop it. I walk slow, but I get there... ## I've been on it for 1 1/2 yrs. It has almost put lupus in remission. I've been on imuran and IV cytoxan since 2001. It's a very good therapy. ## Better no...

## how long does Humira stay good if kept under refrigeration ? ## The tablet with the R 027 marking is manufactured by Actavis Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 0.25mgs of Alprazolam, which is a generic for Xanax. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability. Nick, is there any expiration on it? It is best not to use it past the listed date.

Can I cause harm to my body if I accidentally took two extended-release Xeljanz 11 mg tablets? ## From what I could gather, Xeljanz (Tofacitinib Citrate) is immunosuppressive, which means that your immune system could potentially be compromised more easily with an increased dosage. However, if you are in otherwise good health, then I'm of the opinion that you should be fine after that second tablet wears off... Nevertheless, I would still encourage you to let your prescribing doctor and/or pharmacist know just to be on the safe side, since this would ultimately mean that you'd have 1 less tablet to take prior to getting a refill -and whether or not this is something you'd have to be concerned about as well? I hope this helps and wish you good health!

My 10 year old little girl has been on humira for 2 years , injected every 2weeks , her health ( joints ) are fantastic but now I have concerning issues on a huge amount of weight gain , my daughter is active (probably over active ! ) diet is balanced , a huge worry is we haven't seen a consultant in over 18 months , obviously due to an over stretched NHS . Now the issue is what she looks like , and my fear of other ailments and mental issues occurring, surely there is some other alternative , in our day and age ! I have researched and weight gain is a definite side effect in many users . She was diagnosed almost 5 years ago and has been on other meds such as methotrexate, and infliximab , these may I point out had no weight gaining affects, I'm a single mum whom is very concern...

Hi, My husband needs Humira. We now have Medicare part G. on a very limited income. What do I do to get financial assistance? ## The manufacturer does have a program that may help those with Medicare who still cannot afford this medication. You can call them to see if your husband qualifies, the number is 800-448-6472. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, headache, signs of infection, neck stiffness, and seizure. Is there anything else I can help with? ## thank you I have been in contact but, they are requiring info I have to gather...guess I was looking for inside tips to deal with them...appreciate your help ## Low cost official Humira is available. Stop being taken advantage of with inflated prices. You can ask your doctor or pharmacist for more inf...

I am looking for information from others who have been taking Soliris. What side effects have you encountered when you first began taking Soliris and how long did those side effects last? I.e. Severe headaches, leg pain and feeling like you have the flu. ## Those are listed as being possible side effects of this medication, according to FDA reports, you may also experience UTIs. Most side effects are transient and last about 3 to 4 weeks, until your body gets used to a medication. If they become severe, or last longer than that you should consult a medical professional as it may not be the right medication for you. Can anyone else that's taken this medication chime in with their experiences?

Are humira samples available whose shelf life has expired, and is it okay to administer them? ## do you think they are safe to take after they have expired? The fact that the first direction is "check and make sure the medication hasn't expired" just kinda scares me. ## What is the life expectancy of the drug Humira if kept under proper conditions? How many years is it good for? ## i have been taking expired humira. please tell me if this is safe? it has always been refrigerated and med is clear. ## I have a pre loaded Humira vial that is expired by 2 years. It is clear with no flakes and has always been refrigerated. Can I use it? I'm having a major flare up.

I was on xeljanz for 4 months, unfortunately had to stop last week due to decreased platette count. Since then I became very depressed and increased anger, I could even say I have rage, which is very unlike me. Has anyone experienced this by stopping this drug? Please respond. I'm very concerned over this behavior. ## Hi Susan, Sorry to hear about your experience coming off of Xeljanz. It sounds like your best bet would probably be to sit down and talk with your doctor about ways to provide more relief from your symptoms; at least until they start to subside. When it comes to symptoms of anger, depression, and irritability, I believe those are really just chemical imbalances trying to sort themselves out as your body continues to adjust to not having the medication. Knowing that, ho...

Why is the genetic for Imuran considered a specialty drug by Express Scripts? My husband took this med for years without being a specialty drug. Do you know why or is this just a ploy by Express Scripts to allow them to charge the patient more? ## It really depends upon them and their criteria for various medications and their coverage. Most insurance plans usually set up a certain formulary with various tiers, the lowest prices are usually for generics that have been available for a long time, and maintenance medications, then it goes up from there, depending on the availability of the medication, as well other criteria. Thus, it isn't likely to change much, even if you used a regular pharmacy, such as Walgreen's. The pharmacy, whether mail order, or physical, actually are not ...

I have been on Humira for some time now. Lately I have been getting blood blisters' under my skin, just as I was typing I happened to look at my wrists and noticed a blister, I honestly do not know if this means another blister is going to take place. These blood blisters' at present are on my wrist's, there is no itch although I just used my Humira 2 days ago and today I am not feeling at my best so I'm not sure what is going on. If anyone else has received these blisters' and have perhaps gotten an answer from your Physician or Dermatologist. I hope someone is able to assist me. I am not on any Blood Thinners' such as Cumidine or anything such as this. Thanks so much, ## Hello, Rita! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problem you're experiencin...

Hi On my last cycle of Ivf I had 4 lots of humira (one injection every two weeks for two months only) this is what gave me my little boy as my immune system used to prevent me carrying children. When I was given humira I didn't question it or do any research or anything I wanted a child that much I was prepared to do or take anything the doctor said! However I am wanting to do Ivf again but now I have my little boy I'm scared to death to take humira with everything I have read :( is it still risky if I'm only taking it for 2 months? All different types of cancer run in both sides of my immediate family and I have cancer anxiety also :( but I really want another baby too :( is it only a risk if your on it long term?

I only received 2 injections of humira and had horrible loss of body water (peeing constantly). Two weeks later I ended up with a severe kidney infection. I will never get another shot, but I'm experiencing swelling in my legs and want to know if all the side effects will soon go away? I am sticking back with my remicade!
