Is it safe for my wife to take Ibuprofen? She had two small stomach ulcers 12 years ago caused by H Pylori bacteria

Based on my research, regular use of aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can actually raise your risk for stomach ulcers.
Although taking NSAIDs once in a while is safe for most people.

Is Ibuprofen something your wife uses often?

She just needs effective painkillers for a short time as she recovers from a hysterectomy. She started on paracetamol + codeine, but suffered problems with constipation from the codeine.
