Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that is used to treat pain, fever, and swelling.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation.

800mgs if a prescription only dose, that maximum available over the counter in the U.S. is 200mg doses.

Lortab contains Acetaminophen, and Hydrocodone, it is an opiate pain reliever.

The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

That said, yes Stingray, that could be due to an allergic reaction from one of the medications, and he should consult his doctor as he may need to try alternative medications.

My stepson was prescribed a pain med for his Lumbar back injury sustained at work. Not sure if it's LowerTabs or LorTabs, but he's also taking Ibuprofen and has broken out in rather large painful swollen spots. Could this be an alergic reaction to one or the other?
