I've severe acute ileo-colitis,inspite of that i have taken idrofos 150 tablet on 20th May 2011.On 14th of June i had reddish stool & occult blood came positive. m taking antibiotic"Rifagut 200 "twice a day ,but still my stool is reddish,again positive occult blood.Is this the side effect of this drug,Idrofos 150,?please reply fast .i'm too much worried about this.

Idrofos is made in India, by Sun Pharma.
Most of the medications that are made and used in India are not approved to be used in the U.S.
On many of them, there are already U.S. approved brands available.
They also tend to use some things as medications that the U.S. FDA would never allow.

This contains the active ingredient Ibandronate, commonly sold in the U.S. under the brand name Boniva.
It is used to help treat and prevent bone loss, from conditions such as Osteoporosis.
