I am sorry that is happened/happening to you. You have lived a long life if you are 93. Let life take you. There is nothing else for you to do but ride out the course. If you are not who you say you are and you want out god be with you.

All of you who do not understand why someone with no hope of recovery and perhaps living life 24/7 in severe pain would want to end it are so naive. I suffer from Adhesive Arachoiditis and 24/7 pain along with a dying CNS. Death would be a great relief to me. there is no cure and I can be tortured for 20 years more as the pain worsens and medicines have no more effect.

In reality, one has to imagine that they are living in someone else's shoes to understand them. Just because you feel great and have a great life does not mean you are like everyone else.

Im sorry you are going through this- believe me when I say I have been there. Now im going to sound like a b**** when I say this but im being frank with you when perhaps no one else is and maybe honesty is actually what you need to hear right now: You absolutely cannot put your welfare and happiness on your partners shoulders. It is not up to him to protect you. He shouldnt have to be your carer and look out for you constantly and whether he 'disregards' your vulnerable state or not that shouldn't be a reason to kill yourself. You are putting an insane amount of pressure on someone by forcing them to be the only thing you live for, have you considered how this must negatively be affecting your partners life? If he is 'dis regarding your depression' do you think he could be getting a bit fed up of it, is feeling trapped and depressed himself and has no one to be there for him. Relationships are surely fifty fifty give and take. You understand that you have depression but you seem unwilling to help yourself, happy to sit back and let your partner carry you. You must know all the things that help depression. Fresh air, exercise, a healthy diet etc. Its a good place to start. Dont make someone else responsible for your happiness and your life. Its unbelievablely selfish and could potentially destroy his life too. No good can come of this. All that will happen from a long term relationship dynamic of your partner being your carer will eventually lead to your partner walking away because it will no longer be a real relationship. There is only so long you can give and take care of some one. Hes not your nurse. See a counsellor, see a dr. Talk to twenty other people. Talk on online forums but dont trap your partner in to this life.

martin fisher, my dad had cancer of the prostate that metastasized to all part of his body. Though we finally lost him, but he fought it to the end. What you need is people around you. Share your experience with your children, friends etc. Sure it will help. At 95, you are already getting close to your grave. But let it be Gods time. Sharing your plans here is a form of therapy itself. I am sure there is some sense of relief in reading people comments about your plan. On a final note. Pls get whoever that brought ou to the care center to arrange a doctor for you. The disease condition can be managed and ofter doesnt present itself as bad as you are putting it. if you cant it and you weight is of concern, there are a lot of intravenous food that can help boost your weight. Please see another doctor.

Wow...... Don't push your beliefs on people. And who the eff cares if people want to commit suicide! I am interested in that Nembutal. Can you get that Martin? Hard to get ahold of......or come to WA where we passed the assisted suicide law....unfortunately I don't quality but you would I am sure. Let me know if you find something better, I want that!

You can buy cyanide from cvs pharmacy, as long as you have a document stating that you are a doctor or a medical expert.
