I was initially thinking that they might be the same drug with a lesser dosage, but this particular pill I came across is made here in the US. I noticed that they also make a 20mg version as well, ...

Two days without the drug and she starts throwing up from too much saliva in her stomach. She is 89 and will die without it. Is there another equivalant drug avaliable?? Please tell me where to turn. Thanks so much. Virginia Holloway Baton Rouge, La. vaholloway at aol ## Hi Virginia, From what I found, it is just a rumor that it has been withdrawn from the market. "RUMOR: Hyoscyamine (Levsin, Levbid, etc) is going off the market. TRUTH: All hyoscyamine products are unapproved. They came on the market before FDA approval was required. The FDA hasn't taken any action against these products...yet. But several companies have voluntarily withdrawn their prod...

What types of side effects did you experience? As to how long they should take to resolve, that's really going to depend on how long you were taking it and you weren't specific. If they were really severe, then you need to do that to make sure nothing dangerous is going on.

1 REPLY Updatedsmall round pill withn b325and a line with nothin underneath, and nothing on the otherside ## I was given this pill with a new prescription for the hyoscyamine sulfate pill that I take for difficulty in swallowing and discomfort in the throat area. It is totally different from the one I usually take. That number is E 423, and when I put it under my tongue, it is immediately dissolved and my throat problems are relieved. The B 325 pill is larger, does not dissolve immediately, and I am afraid to take it. Are they for totally different symptoms? The only difference is that the new pill (B 325) says hyoscyamine sulfate 0.125 mg tab, when my regular pill says hyoscyamine sulfate 0.125 mg taeth. Don't understand. Want my regular pill back. ## The tablet with B 325 marking is the same med...

1 REPLY UpdatedIf I'm allergic to sulfa, can I take Hyoscyamine Su? ## Hi Shannan, Hyoscyamine Su does actually stand for Hyoscyamine Sulfate, so in my opinion it wouldn't be wise for you to take this pill. Hyoscyamine comes as a tablet, an extended-release (long-acting) capsule, and as a liquid to take by mouth, so it seems like there should be other options that allow you to continue taking this medication without jeopardizing your well-being. Is there anyway you can talk to the pharmacy about changing scripts?

1 REPLY Updated656 is stamped on pills, what are they. I lost info. ## Hi Doris, Is there any chance that there's another marking on the pill besides the 656? Reason I'm asking is that I located a match to a very similar white round pill imprinted with "B 656"; which has been identified as Hyoscyamine sulfate (sublingual) 0.125 mg. This medication is primarily used in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome. Does this sound like it may be a match, considering what you may have previously used it for?

2 REPLIES UpdatedWhat drugs are in Donna Pb? Is it still available? ## SE-Donna PB Hyos Oral contains several medications: Belladonna alkaloids (made up of the drugs hyoscyamine, atropine, and scopolamine) + Phenobarbital. Belladonna alkaloids help to reduce the symptoms of stomach and intestinal cramping. They work by slowing the natural movements of the gut and by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and intestines. As far as availability goes, from what I can tell your best bet would be to ask your local pharmacy, since there is a lack of information online regarding this. If this brand is not available I would suggest looking for the two main ingredients listed above to aid in your search. I hope this helps!
