They are very small round and light blue like a baby blue and one side says apo and the other side says H1. What are these? ## Hello, Kat! How are you? These tablets are manufactured by Apotex and they list them as containing 1mg of Hydromorphone. The U.S. FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have found that there is a manufacturer shortage in the area for oxycodone and I am unable to fill my Rx for the 15mg. pills. I am supposed to take 4 a day. The pharmacy told me to ask my doctor to switch to Hydromorphone and I don't know much about it, and I was looking for some answers to what would work better or is there something else that I should look into? Does anyone have any ideas? ## Hello, KimDar! How are you? It really depends on what works best for you. Hydromorphone is a very potent and effective, so it may work well for you. The equivalent dose of it would be 5.62mgs for each 15mgs of Oxycodone that you were taking, so it could be worth asking your doctor about. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming ...
It's very small, and light green and reads soon on one side and H1 on the other. ## Just need info on what this is.: ## This tablet is manufactured by Apotex and they list it as containing 1mg of Hydromorphone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Hi I'm Honey and I'm new here, I was taking 10mg of oxycodon my doc changed it and now taking Hydromorphone 2mg with a p on other side. This med is not working for me at all!! Also take morphine 30mg.do you think my doc would change it back to oxy and maybe increase mg or give it 4 times a day instead of 3 times day? I'm in so much pain. Thx in advance ## Hello, Honey! How are you? It would require 3.75mgs per dose of Hydromorphone to equal each 10mgs of the Oxycodone that you were taking, which likely explains why the 2mg dosage isn't working for you. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, no one can spe...
I had numbness from my hip down to my feet, nausea, severe lower back pain and a fever. After getting numbness in my hands before getting to the Emergency Room they pumped me with Hydromorphone and said my Back MRI was OK, could be MS or Diabetes! And to follow up with my Doctor. Now my whole body is numb and I still get fevers off & on. Please HELP! ## Hello, Stanley1us! How are you feeling? I'm very sorry about the problem you're having. Have you consulted your doctor for a follow up and further evaluations? That's the only way you're going to find out what's going on. If it is MS or diabetes, they both need medical treatment, or you risk permanent damage occurring. Are you suffering frequent urination? Dizziness? Feeling faint or dizzy? The FDA classifies Hydr...
Hello. I just moved here from NYC and I have serious lower back issues. I was in a car accident in 2000 and have 2 herniated disks in my back and have been on hydromorphone for years. I saw a Doctor here in my new town and he gave me the rx, then came the nightmare. I drove to over 50 pharmacies to only be told "we're out of that rx and even had someone from walgreens pick up a piece of paper and start reading me a script as to why he cant fill it. I have aetna insurance and sent the rx in for home delivery and they said they would have no problem filling the script, I sent it in and again was told they wouldn't fill it. I have been on this medication for years and I desperately need help. I see on these forums that other people are having the same problem. I don't want ...
I keep getting mixed results on this one. If anyone knows for sure it's supposed to be for water retention, but I'm finding it may also be a strong pain reliever? ## Those are known to be Hydromorphine 40 mg. A very strong pain reliever, be very careful with the usage. ## No, a round orange tablet with an H on one side of a score line and a 2 on the other side of the score, which is blank on the back is manufactured by Heritage Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 25mgs of Hydrochlorothiazide. This is a water people, otherwise known to the FDA, as a diuretic. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. There is no Hydromorphone available with an H 2 marking on it. Is there anything else I can help with...
i would love to know if I can still take it now or is itexpired and will harm me or wont work like whats gona happen happen if I take I have had it since 2008 sep4 and they are 4mg on the top pms on the bottom please let me know ## Found some old hydro's myself recently(from 2011) and the effect was the same as the ones I'm taking now(New script, 2015). Don't think they will lose much potency or become toxic, btw mine have a 4 on top and a P on the bottom. Hope this helps.
Can I crush up Morphine 15mg ER and Norco 10mg and add to clean urine to pass a pain management drug test? ## I'm positive that no mattering what way you get 15mg ER of morphine plus 10mg of Norco into your urine; the drugs are definately in your urine sample and WILL turn up on your pain management drug test as positive for controlled Class II drugs. Sorry to be such a Debbie Downer. ## They also test for you digesting your meds, they call them Metabolites, and if you have the drug in your urine you will also have the Metabolites, so if you just add the drug to the urine it would also be way to strong because the amount passed into your urine is small in comparison to putting a whole pill into your pee. Best things to do are: A. Save clean pee with the right drugs in your system be...
I'm trying to find out what a dilodid 8mg looks like. I found pill in son's drawer its white has an 8 on it and a line and a m on other side. It's not round but sort of triangle shaped sort of? ## what does a 2mg dilodid look mlike ## Yes, the tablet with the M 8 marking is an 8mg Hydromorphone tablet, the active ingredient in Dilaudid, it is a potent narcotic analgesic. This medication has the potential to be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You can learn more Dilaudid details here. However, as to Darryl's question, since this medication is available as both a name brand and a generic, there's no way for me to list all possible descriptions and markings. Thus, if you have a tablet you...
Along with relieving pain after I take it I have always gotten a very calming and "normal, natural" feeling. I don't mean a doped up "jacked up" feeling like Amphetamines or anything like that. I'm not as depressed feeling. Since I'm also being treated with Agoraphobic Depression I am yearning to feeling normal/natural again like I feel with this med. My question is, is there an ingredient in it (Hydromorphone) that is also in an over the counter supplement that will help w/ feeling normal and happy? Like St. Johns Wort I've heard so much about?..seeing this written out sounds like I could just as well wish upon a star.. in other words, "hell no there isn't"... ## Hello, Lalee! How are you? You're right, but I'll be more polite in my w...
I have been on a pain management program with the same doctor for a long time. My doctor is aware that I am an opiate addict. She prescribes me sixteen 15 mg oxycodone instant release tablets per day, which I ALWAYS take orally. My pain doc is aware that I like to take marijuana, but has recently had me sign a pain contract in which I agreed not to ingest any other substances, including marijuana, with the exception of the medication I am prescribed. My doc made it very clear that she would drop me as a patient altogether if I did not follow these rules. Until today, I was doing great abiding by these terms. However, I really messed up and took four 8mg hydromorphones about ten seconds before my phone rang with my doc's assistant on the other end of the line informing me that my doc...
i have a small white pill with a 4 on one side and 54 over 196 on the other. Is this dilaudid and if so is it injectable? ## Seriously....don't use this unless directed by a physician, and then, or course, use as directed. ## {edited for safety} Common sense bro, and when ur done w/ ur inj. cap ur syringe and put it into a sharps container, or box where u can discard of all ur used rigs after full! I would not what to see what there veins look like or the amount of blood clots they have gotten as a result of this! For my IM(intramuscular) inj. when I take steroids or testosterone then I use a larger 23G needle due to the fact that the the liquid is much thicker than water and is in a grapeseed oil instead. Hope this helps clear things up 4 U as there are so much misinformation out t...
Is hydromorphone the same as dilaudid I've. ## @Biglou, Hydromorphone is the generic name for Dilaudid (brand name), so yes, they are the same drug in that sense. However not all dosage forms are IV-based. For example, I've seen 4mg Dilaudid tablets in person and have also heard of patients taking 2 to 8mg tablets throughout this forum. One other thing to note is that they do make a brand called "Dilaudid-HP" (Hydromorphone Hydrochloride Inj.) which is marketed for intravenous use. Although, I have yet to find out if there is a generic form of the IV as well. Hope this helps answer your question! ## Regarding the post of Hydromorphine IV and dilaudulid: they are the same medication. I was on Dilaudid, (generic name) Exalgo ER 8 mg oral for chronic pain. While in hospital...
My doctor told me to up my hydromorphone from 6 mg to 12 mg extended release. I was taking 6 mg extended every 12 hours with 4 mg enstant release every 4 hours. Now I'm taking 12mg extended release every 12 hours with 1mg enstant release every 4 hours. How is that upping my dose?? Wasn't the 6 mg extended release with the 4 mg enstant release every 4 hours more then I'm taking now ?? Please help. ## Hello, Steve! How are you? Yes, you are correct. Adding up the two 6mgs a day and the 6 4mg one comes out to 36mgs daily. But 12 mgs twice a day, plus 1mg 6 times a day is only 30mgs. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you asked your doctor ab...
Ive had black outs in hot weather! Over a 100? I go inot shut down mode! Anyone else having problems? ## Hello, Jake! How are you? I'm sorry about what happened. What medication is in your pump? Sometimes heat causes some of them to move through your blood stream faster than usual. Or you may also be getting dehydrated, which could make the medication hit you harder than usual, if it's a narcotic. The FDA lists narcotics as having the potential to be habit forming and possibly causing side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## My name is Bob. I have a Medtronics pain pump the FDA and my personal Dr. Finally figured out over a 100? causes over dose! My medication is Hydromorphone and after a broken serpentine belt and no air conditioning w...
I got a script from my pain mgmt doctor today for 120 4mg Hydromorphone, been doing so for years. Had it filled but got 120 hydrocodone 10/325. Told them that was wrong and they sent me back to doc to get another script. I went back and had it filled only to find i now had both scripts filled and ready for pickup. Although i tried to explain to them the mix up they insisted that i had 2 orders ready for pick up(I Swear!). I paid for both and left. Am I in any trouble? I have a State license that i would lose for a felony and couldn't make a living. Please help im scared in Texas, ## Hello, Frog! How are you? They couldn't make you take them both, you could simply have refused the one that wasn't correct. Yes, you could get in trouble, if someone questions this. The best thin...
Could you please tell me which is stronger a #2 MG hydromorphone small round orange pill. Or a 4mg hydromorphone alittle larger round white pill! Might seem obvious but I had #4 / 50 of them and they were suppose to go higher, now I got 100 #2 hydromorphone. Thanks ## Hello, Karen! How are you? I'm sorry about the confusion. The 4mg is a stronger dosage than the 2mg, as with anything else, with medications, the higher number means it is stronger. Thus, they didn't change your dosage, at all. The FDA lists this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
found this need to know what it is very tiny round white with imprint 4 on one side ## It sounds like a hydromorphone generic for dilaudid a four milligram. They have different manufactures they also come in yellow color with 4mg. These are used for severe pain. ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? According to the prescription drug identification databases, the Hydromorphone that Jeanie mentioned would also have an M on it. The FDA lists that this is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. So far, I've been unable to find one with just a 4 on it. However, I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## No ...
