My niece is on probation and every time she goes in to take a ua for them she comes back with it being dirty. They tell her that her THC is too high. She isn't doing any illegal drugs but is taking hydrocodone with a dose of 5/325. ## Is she taking anything else, even over the counter products? The Hydrocodone in the Vicodin she is taking is only reported to cause false positives for other synthetic opiates. However, there are some over the counter products that have been reported to cause false positives for THC. I read a while back that the FDA among others were trying to start making hydrocodone without the acetaminophen in it. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is true and when it would happen. ## They actually do make Hydrocodone without acetaminophen. It goes by the name of Vicoprofen, which contains Hydrocodone + Ibuprofen, in replace of acetaminophen. I also came across an article that mentioned a new drug (the one you may be referring to), consisting of only extended released Hydrocodone. 387 watson on one side and ip466 on the other side ## These are two different medications made by two different companies, so you wouldn't find both imprints on the opposite sides of the same tablet. Watson 387 contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 750mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a generic for Vicodin, which is a narcotic pain reliever. The IP 466 is manufactured by Amneal, formerly Intrapharm and contains 800mgs of Ibuprofen. what are the colored specks in hydrocodone ## Nothing actually, they are just something the manufacturer decided to do to the tablets. The way they look is entirely up to their whit and whim, as long as whatever fillers and coloring they use are on the approved list of FDA inactive ingredients. There is one manufacturer that uses the colored specks in their name brand tablets, but most of the generics you will see are a solid color. Is there anything else I can help with?

Even ordering it via mail, if you have a prescription, can be difficult, because many pharmacies won't ship it, due to the risk of theft and diversion. Are there any other questions or comments?

Script for 3 hydrocodine a day (750mg). Don't always take but get script. Blood work in 2 weeks. If I take prescribed aamount for 3 to 4 days prior to bloodwork will levels be ok & show I've been taking as prescibed? ## Hydrocodone is generally detectable in blood for approximately 2 weeks, after last dosing, so only taking it for a few days could alert them to a problem, because your levels may still be off. Why aren't you taking it as prescribed?

plain bright pink capsule with no letters or numbers ## The only way a capsule with no markings could contain 40mgs of Hydrocodone was if it was specially ordered by a doctor and put together by a compounding pharmacy, So, yes, as a capsule, it is possible. In tablets, Hydrocodone is only available in a max of 10mgs and they would all have markings on them. And the most operative question is really....how is the change working for you? While there are some conversion standards, it is generally more important to individualize it and customize it to the patient and how they respond to a medication, plus their tolerance levels.

WHITE OBLONG PILL WITH 3592 ON ONE SIDE OR A WHITE OBLONG PILL WITH M367 ON ONE SIDE....WHICH ONE IS STRONGER? ## The tablet marked M367 contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The one with the 3592 V marking contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. Thus the M 367 contains more of the narcotic, but the other contains more Acetaminophen, which makes it kind of hard to say which one is stronger. Some people may do better with the higher dose of the narcotic, because the Acetaminophen doesn't have as much effect on them, but it can potentiate the effects of the narcotic, so others might do better with the lower dose of Hydrocodone and more Acetaminophen. Which one works better for you?

It is blank on other side. There is a score mark. Someone said hydrocodone another said oxycodone. ## Are there any markings on it, or just the score? If there are no markings, it can be ruled out as being a U.S. manufactured and approved prescription medication, because they are all required to have markings to enable their identification. However, it could be any one of a large number of over the counter products and there is also a small chance that it could be a foreign medication. Does anyone have any ideas what this tablet contains?

I've taken hydrocodone for 5 years due to a back injury and I weaned myself off of them. The last time I took half of one (10/500) was a week ago. How long before it is completely out of my system? ## It really depends on how you look at it. Hydrocodone can take 1-6 days to be out of your system for a urine test, 1-10 days to be out of your system for a saliva test, and as long as 90 days to be your system for a hair test. So for it to be "completely" out of your system it can take up to 90 days. But I'd say after 10 days, only trace amounts might be there that are only detectable through a hair follicle test. which painkiller would be best to try for more relief ; need a step up from Hydrocodone 750/7.5 . One choice may be Oxycodone, it is a very potent narcotic, but you'd probably be able to start off with a relatively low dose, if you've never taken it before, which leaves you somewhere to go, if you build up tolerance to it. WHY CAN'T MY PHARMACIST FIND IT NOW AND HOW DOES IT COMPARE TO CHERATUSSION AC SYRUP? ## The Hydrocodone APAP shows that it also contains Acetaminophen with the narcotic, this type of syrup/suspension is usually given to treat cough, fever and pain. The only thing it would do for an infection is treat the pain and fever that it may cause, it wouldn't actually treat the infection itself. The Cheratussin AC contains Codeine and Guaifenesin, so it isn't the same, because this would be used mostly to treat cough and cold symptoms. I'm currently taking 500mg hydrocodone/apap every six hours for pain plus 250mg divalproex sodium twice daily. Is it alright to also take 10mg compazine for nausea or are there any side effects I should be aware of? ## What has your doctor advised? Generally, it is listed that the Compazine should be avoided with both of the other two medications. When combined with the Divalproex, it increases the risk of depression of the central nervous system. And with the Hydrocodone, it can increase the chances of that, plus it can cause severe constipation issues due to paralyzed bowel.
