Chemical wise they are essentialy the same. Hydrocodone(5mg)/Acetaminophen(500mg). Each manufacturer may use different fillers for there pills but, you will be recieveng the same dose from either one ## Hi Loiselle, Thanks for sharing this bit of information! That slight variation of inactive ingredients seems to have such a big impact on how the drug itself is metabolized and used by your body. Unfortunately, I think these fillers are part of the reason why so many people react differently to the same medications and experience different side effects. Does anyone else have thoughts on this?

what is tablitp in the hydrocodone ## I'm not sure I quite understand what you mean. Is this something that you saw written on your prescription? my question is..does hydrocodone and oxycodone show up the same in a piss test? ## It depends on the type of test being done. There is a test that just looks for the presence of opiates and on that test, they would both just be detected as an opiate and nothing more specific. However, there are tests that show the specific opiate that was taken by checking the metabolites and on that test, they would be detected as exactly what they are. Learn more Oxycodone details here. My wife will be taking hydrocodone acetaminophen 5 500 tb for the first time to help her get through her physical therapy. How long before the therapy starts should she take the pill to get maximum relief during the session. ## It's really difficult to say, because it takes 15 to 20 minutes for the regular release tablets like this to start being digested and enter someone's blood stream and then, of course, you want it to be working, before she goes in for the session to minimize the pain. IP 190 with a divided line on the back of the pill is hydrocodone 5mg with 500mg acetaminophen. Definitely similar to the naproxen IP 190 with 500 on the other side. ## The tablet with the IP 190 500 marking is 500mgs of Naproxen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. The other tablet has the marking of IP 109 and it is a generic for Vicodin that contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The two different imprints have been confused here on other threads.

If a person were to take 18 hydrocodone 5-325 what would happen to them/ Is that a fatal dose or would they be left alive with liver damage? ## All that Tylenol or aspirin, if it was a combo drug, might mess up your kidneys and liver but as long as you are not a first timer, that is to say opiate naive, 90 mgs of Hydrocodone probably won't kill you. My dosage as a cancer patient is the equivalent of 135 mgs Hydrocodone, at 90 mgs of Oxycodone every 4 hrs. Believe me I'd rather be cancer free than all drugged up. I take hydrocodine 10 mg for break thru pain along with morphine 60mg.I had some of my morphine pills stolen and i am afraid to report it cause i believe it was a family member..how many hydrocodone 10mg can i take to equal 60 mg if morphine...please answer as i am running out of my morphine. ## Morphine and Hydrocodone are basically equivalent in strength, so 60mgs of one would equal 60mgs of the other. However, if you are talking about a generic for Vicodin, that contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, then it isn't really going to be safe to take 6 of the pills, several times a day, to equal the Morphine. I'm allergic to codeine. Does it contain codeine? ## The active ingredients are exactly what you listed, Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, the Hydrocodone is a narcotic. Does this Amneal tablet have a side effect of changing my coumadin number if I take 1 pill at once, or 2 pills at once.? Am having trouble adjusting Warferin level. I have been on narco 10 mg for years they work well they use to prescribe 90 pills in a months time with 5 refills never had to refill early always stayed with one doctor until I moved the was prescribed 7.5 hydrocodone with new doctor didn't like side effect so he has now prescribed the narcos again and they work ... But now I have to go every month to refill????? Why I go for my blood work ups and all and my cancer screenings because I am a cancer survived ... I was on 100mls of methodone and then 50 mls of fentayl patch, and now taking 6mls of timereales diauldid which is not working ## Did your doctor direct you to make this switch? The only difference I noticed is that they are manufactured by different companies. Because of this, there may be a slight variation of inactive ingredients; but other than that you can be assured that they are the same drug and same dosage. Certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. Because everyone is different, your body may respond favorably with one medication and not the other, due to how you feel or based on whatever side effect...
