Can this cause insomnia at end of dose? ## take my email address off this page!!dlla ## Hi Ann, I don't see your email address listed anywhere. Are you sure you didn't put it somewhere else? In any case, I'm sure moderators will take care of it if you do accidentally post it. :) To answer your question though regarding insomnia and hydrocodone, anxiety is in-fact listed as a side effect of this medication. I have taken 7.5mg hydrocodone for pain in the past, the only effect being the absence of pain. Took one about 3 hrs. ago for a toothache and......it KNOCKED ME OUT! Had to lie down, slept for about two and a half hours, and I'm still really groggy. The ones I've taken in the past were not 'Watson 502', and I'm wondering why this one affected me so differently. ## Hi Leslie, When you switch brand names or manufacturers, the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. For this very reason, I believe the differences in side effects you are feeling have a lot to do with certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand. I'm frustratingly surprised that doctor's and pharmacists don'...
purple capsule no writing I get them from my doctor and know what they are I just want more informaiton about them. I would like to know long term effects. ## Yes, to have 15mgs of the Hydrocodone, this has to be something that is specially compounded, because it is only commercially available with a maximum of 10mgs of the Hydrocodone. Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever, it is couple with the Acetaminophen to better relieve pain and swelling. Common side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. As to long-term effects, well while rare, they can include: organ damage (liver or kidney), stomach damage and ulcers. I am prescribed Hydrocodone. On a standard piss test from my job will it show positive as far as THC goes or will they know I'm also smoking weed? Just curious ## They are different substances and will be detected as such on drug tests. The THC from marijuana will register as exactly that and the Hydrocodone will register as an opiate narcotic. Learn more Hydrocodone details here. Chemically and in their metabolites, neither resembles the other. Are there any questions or comments?
If i add water to fill the bottle up more in liquid hydrocodine will it be noticeable that i added water to it? ## It most likely will be, because it will affect it in three ways. It can thin out the consistency of it, it can dilute the flavor and it can also dilute the color, so it's usually very noticeable when such a thing is done. Learn more Hydrocodone details here. Add to that the fact that you're going to be lowering the dosage in the given amount, so it won't work as well and it's just not something you can easily get away with. Are there any other questions or comments?
Mallinckrodt hydrocodone/apap pills several years ago changed. This sounds like a similar thing to what used to be the caplet (large) shaped pills; M 0367 is now the M367 10/325mg tablet. I believe that they all changed to the same size and shape, dropping initial '0'. Some codes went out of use, most changed inbthe way described, but this tablet, if one og those, is unlikely to be of use, those things having changed well over 15 years ago. Advice; email Covidien. When in doubt... I did the same with Aspen re: Pax diazepam and Purata oxazepam, recently changed, and received courteous reply reassuring me within 48 hours. Write! ## The marking on the pill in question is often misinterpreted, since it can be hard to read on the small tablet, but it is actually M 0552 and the tablet...
My husband has a prescription for hydrocodone 5/500. How often can he take it for back pain? Like every 4 hours? Or 6 hours or what? He doesn't use it much and can't remember the frequency. Thank you for any help! ## This is a generic for Vicodin or Lortab, which contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone and the directions are usually to take it every 4 to 6 hours, as needed. Since it has the Acetaminophen in it, there is also usually the caveat in the directions to not exceed 8 of them in any 24 hour period and not to combine it with any other medications containing Acetaminophen. Learn more Vicodin details here. How is he feeling?
Does Watson make a generic 750/325ES If not why? Because all I can fine so far is the generic of 750/500 and would like to use less than 500. ## The ES stands for extra strength, so any version of this medication with the ES designation is going to have more Acetaminophen in it, since that's the intent. And yes, Watson actually does make a 7.5/325mg tablet. It is oval and peach in color with the marking WATSON over 3203 on one side and a score line on the opposite side of the tablet. Learn more Vicodin details here. However, if you're doctor has prescribed the 7.5/500 dosage, that is all any pharmacy is going to offer you, because you can't change the dosage yourself. You'll need to get a new prescription from your doctor to get the other tablets with the lower amount of...
We bought some street pills in Ensinada that were suppose to be Norco. They are long, white, oblong, and are marked with a capital P on one side and a capital AS on the other. Any info on what they are, don't want to take until verified. Thanks, badback ## I've done some searches in various databases, since I first saw your post a few days ago, but I'm sorry, I haven't been able to find anything on a tablet with these markings. Since it's a foreign pill, that makes it difficult, since they aren't required to log their imprints with the FDA. Learn more prescription drug details here. Does anyone recognize these tablets? I'll keep searching and post back when I find anything. ## Thank You, I do appreciate it, however I am not going to take them as I am sure the...
I would like to find out if the hydrcodone-apap 7.5-500 tab Malli that I am taking has silicates in it. It is white in color and oval, on one side it has a line through it and on the other it has M358. Any help will be appreciated. I have a prescription for hydrocodone 7.5 and clonazepam 2mg I go for a drug test tomorrow at a hospital. I really don't want them knowing because I'm afraid they will hold that against me. What should I do. I have not taken anything today and I have been drinking lots and lots of water. Any Advice? ## Hydrocodone is usually detectable for approximately 6 days, after last dosing and the Clonazepam for approximately 6 weeks. Learn more drug test details here. The time frame can vary from person to person, due to individual characteristics, such as your metabolism, overall health, fluid intake, activity levels and etc. but those are the average time frames for most people. What is the test for?
I have been on Hydrocodone for about 10 years for back surgery and chronic pain. I take a drug test almost every month or so to make sure that I am taking what is prescribed and nothing else. I was shock to find out last week that my test came back positive for Herione for the first time. I'm a senior for one thing and have never taken any type of street drugs in my life. I am now asking for a blood test or maybe hair to find out how could this be. What would cause this? ## Asking for a blood or hair test was the smartest thing to do. If they use one of the less expensive, non-certified tests then these types of false positives have been known to occur anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. It may even have happened now if they recently started using a different test from a different c...

white oblong tablet V on one side 35-92 on other tablet is scored ## Yes, you are correct this is generic hydrocodone 5mg and acetaminophen (or tylenol) 500mg. It is generic for name brand Vicodin and Lortab, among others. It is a schedule 3 controlled substance, narcotic pain reliever used for moderate pain. He has a bad infected tooth and pain, and was prescribed Hydroco/apap5-500mg. It is doing no good. Is he able to take it more often because of his weight. God bless. ## I wouldn't advise it. You need to call the prescribing doctor and discuss this with them. No matter how big you are, narcotics can cause problems if your body isn't used...

i took hydrophone 10.325 on Tue 10.25/11 and today Nov 3 11 i had a drug test do you think it will be in my system with out normal flushing??? ## Like most narcotics, Hydrocodone is usually detectable for approximately 4 to 5 days, after you last take it. How did your test turn out? ## not good
