False Positive To Herione On A Drug Test

I have been on Hydrocodone for about 10 years for back surgery and chronic pain. I take a drug test almost every month or so to make sure that I am taking what is prescribed and nothing else. I was shock to find out last week that my test came back positive for Herione for the first time. I'm a senior for one thing and have never taken any type of street drugs in my life. I am now asking for a blood test or maybe hair to find out how could this be. What would cause this?

Asking for a blood or hair test was the smartest thing to do.

If they use one of the less expensive, non-certified tests then these types of false positives have been known to occur anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. It may even have happened now if they recently started using a different test from a different company.
