In the past I have always gotten more pain relief from hydrocodone, but due to my chronic pain and Tylenol in it IM often number up to a stronger medicine, I just got my Medicare and will receive pain management again, are there any versions without Tylenol I could take covered by part d? ## Zohydro ER went on the market this year. It is the first and only extended release hydrocodone on the market. It also does not contain tylenol or any other medication. Because it is new, it is very expensive. It also is a Schedule II. Which means it can't be called in, no refills and you must see your dr at least every 90 days. It does require Prior Authorization for Medicare to pay for it.

I have hydrocodone 5 mg-acetaminophen 325 mg tablets which my doctor prescribed me due to back aches I was just wondering if it mater if the pills had any specks or not? does it make a difference in the pill because the ones I have seem to not be working for my pain? ## @Moses, Do you know what the color or imprint is on that pill you have? If you could post back here with any of those details I may be able to find a few images online that depict how they're really supposed to look. And if there are any specks to be found, I would actually think that it's quite normal for each tablet to have a differentiating amount of these specks on their surface. That's just how some batches turn out; at least from what I've heard anyways. Were you given a different manufacturer's...

I need to know how long this pill can stay in your system ## Are you referring to the detection time for a drug test? If so, what type of test, blood, urine, or saliva? For example, Hydrocodone is detectable in urine for approximately 6 days, after last dosing. The time frame will vary from person to person, depending on your individual metabolism, overall health, fluid intake, activity levels and etc. but 6 days is the average for most people. Learn more Vicodin details here. ## I took 5mg of lortab on Sunday. Will I be ok for drug urine drug test? I was taking about 10 mgs a day then I quit for bout 5 days n my pain was bad so I took one. I have a script but its from months ago I've been taking them sparingly when I absolutly have to. Will I b ok? ## i took a hydro 10mg on monday ...

My 14 year old daughter has terrible pain because of infection in her tooth. She has on going problems with her teeth because of a dental disease she has. It is the weekend and we ran out of the usual pain med prescribed. The dentist is impossible to contact. So... I wondered if it would be safe to give her hydrocodone as an alternative. She weighs 120 lbs. ## Hello, Melissa! How is she doing? Hydrocodone is actually a narcotic, so it's just not safe to give it to her, without a doctor's approval. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What was she taking for it? When will she be seeing her dentist? ## We finally got her out of the pain once her antib...

Do these contain an opiate blocker?? ## Hello, Kimbo! How are you? No, they contain 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, those are the only active ingredients. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is there any possible side effects that can occur if you were to take one then another 2 hours later?

my 5 yr old was prescribed this by his doctor and when i gave it to him he got sick and threw up. wondering if i should give him a lower dosage ## Hello, Kristine! How is your son? The Hydrocodone in this is narcotic analgesic, so it can cause nausea as a side effect. Lowering the amount you give him will on hurt if it leaves him in pain. It may also cause other side effects, such as drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Have you consulted his pediatrician? They may be able to prescribe something to prevent the nausea.

white pill with M357 printed on it ## M 357 is 5 mg Hydrocodone + 500 mg Acetaminophen. Manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. It's a narcotic pain reliever generic for Vicodin. ## Thank you Roy. I would just like to add that since this is a naroctic, it is highly addictive. ## I have a perscription for hydrocodone-apap 5-500 tab. my older bottle says to take 1 pill every 6 hours as needed. and this bottle says take 1 pill every 12 hours as needed.. im confused because its the same exact medication. i went to a different pharmacy, could that be why?? ## Andrea - could the ones you have now be extended release or something? (not sure if they make this medication in extended release). Does it say anything else on the container such as different milligrams for the dose? Differen...

I take hydrocodone daily... and I have a test coming up this month on the 12th. I was wondering if I could use my 5yr old niece pee. Pleaseee help me by wensday... I'm desperate! ## Yes its' commonly used for just that , its one of those questions I thought everyone knew ... Purer the pee, the better ... milk your niece whenever she's around, just watch out for child protection services, it might be more tricky to explain the hydrocone and your needing her pee than one might imagine ??!

Have been taking pain pills for past 10 years for back issues. New doctor had me on Morphine extended release and immediately release for 5 months then switched me to 15 mg Oxycodone for 5 weeks after surgery and was taking 15 mg every 6 hours, but last 2 weeks I took 1 every 4 hours. I had been on oxy before and I don't do well with it. Already addicted and wanted to get off it I asked for Hydrocodone. He gave me 10/325 taking every 4 hrs. My withdraws are bad and the pain is back. Nurse called back and said I can't take more than 1 every 4 hrs and to deal with it. What to do? I got myself off Oxycodone before over 3 months of cutting myself back. This is killing me. Please give me advice. Also was told to talk antihistamine and 4 ibuprofen each time. Seems so much other stuff ...

I need to find an over the counter pill that looks similar to the yellow Watson 10/325. I'm not concerned about the engraving on it, I just need a yellow pill that is very similar to the yellow hydrocodone pill. Any suggestions. And by the way this isn't for me to sale and rip someone off. My dad had some and I took a few and I need to replace them. He never will take them but he knows how many he had so I need to replace before he recounts them. Please help ## Hi Hydrohelp...I'm really loling at this post and had to reply. Ok there is a yellow pill but it's a sinus and also I've seen yellow pills that were for allergies. Did you google yellow color pill. Is it ok for me to take one hydrocodone/Tylenol 325 and 2 OTC naproxen. ## Yes, as long as you can take Naproxen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. ## Hello, Alicia! How are you? You should check with your doctor, before mixing them, actually. It is generally okay to do so, but can be contraindicated in some instances. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

hello i am just wondering if there is a site to compare manufacturers i have always been a watson user ....now for some reasons nobody near me is carrying them anymore.i am lookin as to any insite of what to do im using malincot and it is doing nothing at all for my pain. i do know watson just took over a company called acttvais or something like that cant find those either also a new one by sun....idk what to do anything would be helpful ## Hello, Kelly! How are you doing? Sorry about the problems that you're having. No, there is no such site and it wouldn't really help, if there was, because which one works can differ from person to person. For instance, I had great results with ones manufactured by Mallinckrodt. And even if you knew more about the other manufacturers, while y...

I'm taking hydrocone 7.5-325 and amox-clav 875mg for abscessed tooth... Is it safe to do activities which raise your heart rate while taking this medicine and fighting off the infection? ## Hi Bridget! It's your choice. NO HARM done! ## @Bridget, This is just my own opinion, but unless you have already been diagnosed with a pre-existing heart condition, I wouldn't even think twice worrying about that. The momentary increase in heart rate that's associated with physical activity... even if you are not used to exercising regularly and keeping your heart rate in check, there's usually no harm in something like this/unless you were to inflict it upon yourself in some way, shape, or form. How long does your doctor have you on those medications for?

I injured myself in 2011 and was given hydrocodone/apap 5mg/500mg. I reaggrivated the injury and was given a new script for them but I have no insurance to cover the cost. I am wondering if I take them if they will still be effective. ## Hello, Dove! How are you? Medications tend to lose effectiveness over time, which is why they have an expiration date, that is the maximum time the company can guarantee full efficacy under the average storage conditions. As they are exposed to heat, light and moisture, they start to degrade, so no, being several years past the expiration date, it would really be best to just dispose of them. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipa...

I was in an auto accident almost 9 years ago and have had low and mid back pain ever since. I have had a few things done over the years (mri, facet joint injections, etc) and everything has came back clean or hasn't helped. At the moment I go to pain management that does not do anything for me. I have been there 3 years and have had nothing but trigger point injections. They won't up my pain meds either! I have been on hydrocodone 10/325 for 3 years. My back hurts through the pain meds all the time and the one time I told my doctor that my pain meds don't work very good, my doctor said I was an addict and cut my prescription in half. I'm scared to say anything else, since my back hurts all the time and if they cut me again, it will be horrible. Sorry for the long explanat...

I can't find anything that says what it is. The prescription is 60/200 mg of hydrocodone compound it is a capsule with no writing one part is clear the other is white! Just want to make sure it is a legit pill?? ## Where did you get it? There is no standard dosage of 60/200 available. The only way anyone would have this dosage would be if it were specially ordered by their doctor and done by a compounding pharmacy. If that's the case, it would explain the plain capsules, since that's what they usually use. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Need to know this Pill is for, as my Doctor give me it to use. ## Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Vicodin, is a narcotic analgesic that's used to treat pain. Learn more Vicodin details here. What issue did you see your doctor for? ## DOES THIS CONTAIN CODINE ## Dear Holly, Hydrocodone does NOT contain codeine. It is Vicodin with Tylenol. ## I found this meds (Hydroco/acetaminop 5-500 MG in the cabinet that was prescribed for me when my hip was broke two years ago. Do I need to throw it out since it's two years old.

what is hydrocodon-acetametaphin nophen 5-325 ## Hello, Lou! How are you? Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen is a narcotic analgesic, however, there is no tablet with M 350 on it that contains these ingredients. This medication has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can you please double check that imprint and post back? Thank you!

The doctor had me on hydrocodone apap 10 325 and it was not relieving the pain at all I called and told him about it and he prescribed fioricet 50-325-40 is this any stronger because I still feel no comfort at all with taking these? ## No, Fioricet isn't a good general pain reliever, it's actually most commonly used to treat migraines and tension headaches. However, your doctor is restricted in what they can prescribe. Have you considered seeing a pain management specialist? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
