years ago i was given sulfa drug for prostate, after i took one pill i felt like i had the flu so i went back to the dr. and told him,he said that the sulfa had nothing to do with my problem so i took some more it happend again.so iquit on my own.never had a problem after.i now was prescreibed acetaminophen 5-325 for sciatik nerve problem that causes more pain than before i took it. ## Hello, Bob! difference between hydrocodone and hydrocloride ## I am not certain exactly what you mean by this. Hydrocodone Bitarate is a narcotic analgesic, used to treat severe pain. A hydrochloride just signifies that something is a salt of that particular substance, such as Pyridine Hydrochloride. So, medically they are unrelated. Do you have any other questions? ## I find that whenever I buy a medication or a vitamin I have to check if it contains hydrochloride.. if it does I have to avoid it because within a couple of days I have a terrible burning sensation in my gut apart from zantac and slippery elm is there anything else I can do to ease the pain

Im being perscribed these And they r being mailed to me in a few days the strenghth is 10/200. Take one every 8 hours....i was perscribed opana ER 5 mg 1 every 12 hours they didnt work at All but the regular hydro 10/325 did but Pain Management does not do short acting meds ..anyone had these b4? How do they compare to regular hydro 10/325 ? I stopped drinking wine 3 nights ago because I had surgery and knew I would be taking hydrocodone for pain. Now I fear alchohol withdrawal.If I drink a glass of wine will that stop the withdrawal if that happens? ## Hi Sissy, yes! Drinking a glass of wine will help if u have alcohol withdrawals. It's like an addict, if they r withdrawing, taking opiates will help them. Hope u feel better. ## But how much were you drinking? Can someone recommend a pain dr or regular dr who will prescribe hydrocodone or something similar and that pharmacies will fill the prescriptions at? I was going to walgreens until all the sudden they couldnt fill anymore and told me my dr has to be affiliated w hospital. Going to Pain Management was on opana ER 5mg Didnt like them barely worked...they want to switch me to hydrocodone compound 10/200. How r they? Never had them...i like the regular hydro 10/325 they work better for me than the opana do:) And oxycodone work good too but this Pain Management wont perscribe anything that is short acting. What is the limit for a single dose for a 170 lb person? I hear this drug can be dangerous and I want to make sure my son is taking it correctly for his surgery recovery. ## The hydrocodone will not harm him even if he took 8 per day but the acetaminophen cannot be more than 4000 mg a day. My doctor cut me from Hydro 5/500 to 5/325. I have been feeling very strange lately. I am having non stop panic attacks and other physical symptoms. Could this small change actually be causing me withdrawal symptoms.? I have been on the 5/500 for about 5 years because of degenerative disc disease management. It is an awful feeling.
