I have read so many people posting that they can't get their pain meds. What is scary is people who are in chronic pain, are now in danger of withdrawal. My roommate has had her 5/325 on backorder for 3 week's now We're in Vegas, I to take pain meds and last month I went to Walgreen's like normal and they were out of my meds, to boot the pharmacist treated me in such rude behavior. I see my doctor tomorrow and I'm scared of having a problem finding my meds, but since reading and listing I back up on mine and have been biting the bullet in pain. I have even heard through a friend that they will hit the streets for meds. This is scary cause it's going to effect the world. The Watson yellow 853 Hydrocodone are stronger than the white ones. As each of you know taken these neither are really strong compared to other types of pain pills. I have Fibro, along with so much more. I have a MVP heart problem so if these pills were strong I could not take them,. Some days I Can hardly move. I have been on different dosages of Norco/Vicodin for about 5 years, since I recovered from a serious illness. Over time, my doctors and I have tried an enormous amount of different combinations of drugs to relieve the chronic pain along with the other symptoms. I finally found a combination that works for me, however I'm having difficulty with doctors prescribing the hydrocodone acetaminophen 10-325. Is this because of the rise in illegal sales of the drug? I used to be on 4 a day and now with the Lyrica and low dose Voltaren, 2 a day works excellent. I haven't been this productive, or felt even remotely useful for so long. how long do hydrocodone side effects last? I had gotten hurt by my horse and was in really bad pain, I took a hydrocodone I had left over from the year before when I had my wisdom teeth taken out. Shortly after taking the pill I became dizzy and nauseated. When I stood up and attempted to move I would feel the need to vomit. This lasted from 2:30 in the afternoon until noon the following day. I have hydrocodone that was prescribed in 2009. Are they still good? ## Hi gina, According to two different articles from the LA Times and Harvard Medical School, respectively, they should still be safe/effective for up to 15-30 years or more. So as long as you kept them stored properly (i.e in a cool dark place), I wouldn't worry at all about them degrading so soon. I hope this helps!

I have a prescription for hydrocodone 'take one every 8 hours as needed' qty 60. Got them to take instead of tramadol when I'm in a lot of pain. Last week & 1/2, I've been having major pain and the dr said I could take them every 6 hours til we get worked through this. So, I'm sure I'll run out, as I'm already getting low, before the monthly refill of all my meds.
