I am taking 2 40mg oxycontin daily, 2 30mg Adderall, 200-400 naproxen and pseudophedrine as needed for allergies. My pain mgmnt dr does a urine screening and then sends specimen to lab for conformation. The screening didn't show anything but the conformation showed hydrocodone. I DO NOT and HAVE NOT taken any hydrocodone. They said they wouldn't see me any more. I don't know what I will do when I run out of meds. How can this drug show up???? I have read that Norco and similar meds can raise blood pressure. I was wondering if it is the hydrocodone or the acetaminophen that causes your blood pressure to go up or if it could be the actual pain you are treating? ## In actuality, it could be any, or all. It really depends on the person, according to FDA reports, it would most commonly become elevated due to the pain. Most opiate medication, such as Norco are known to lower it, more often than they will cause it to become elevated. Is the person in question taking any other medications? Do they have any other diagnosed medical conditions? How high were the blood pressure readings?

I have been taking Hydrocodone 10/325 four times a day now for over 11 years. Actually, when I started it was Morphine 25mg Extended Tabs twice a day plus Hydrocodone 10/660 four times per day but I cut the Morphine out. Then as the law changed it dropped to 10/500 then to 10/325 and that's where I am now. I always take as prescribed but I want off the pills. I took my last pill 60 hours ago and am experiencing a lot of pain due to my chronic pain and I'm sure withdrawal is making it worse as well. I'm just wondering what can I expect moving forward and what if I happen to take a pill just to be able to sleep at night? The DOT physical Doctor would not approve my physical because I was being prescribed Hydrocodone 5 mg. I had to get a statement from my regular Dr. saying I would not be prescribed that medicine any more. I was taking the medicine for reumetoid arthuritis. if i am a subtance misuse user of heroin and the courts have asked me to have a hair strand test will they just test for that one drug or is there a test that can test for all drugs at the same time, or can they only test for one drug at a time. ## I have used heroin in small amounts. Less than half gram twice in the past month. About the shots each time. Is this to little to make it above the cutoff levels for a hair follicle test? Also. I have been taking hydrocodone for about 6 weeks now...I have a prescription for up to 6 10 mgs a day but have been taking twice that... If I stop now will an extended opiate hair follicle test that I have to take in a month to 6 weeks from now show that I've been taking more than I'm prescribed?... ## Most likely when the hair drug test results come thru the person interpreting the results would not have the training to know if you took more than you should have been taking. I don't have a picture of this tablet to post, due to copyright reasons. However yes, the pill with this marking is listed as containing 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 750mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Vicodin, which is a narcotic pain reliever. Does anyone experience itching of the throat when taking this medication. Just my throat itches, I do not have an itching sensation anywhere else. Nor do I have a rash or hives. I am prescribed 2 5/325 pills every 4-6 hours for pain caused by ovarian cysts. I have taken this medication in the past without any issues. I accidentally took a Hydrocodone because I didn't read the label of the bottle, and thought it was an over the counter pain reliever. I tested positive on a random drug test, is there any way to differentiate the levels in my urine from someone who is taking it regularly? ## A perscription botpas nothing like an over the counter bottle. ## Don't be a jerk. I sprained my Ankle but didn't fracture any bone; the swollen has gone but the severe pain persist even taking Hydrocodone/APAP 10MG/325MG; What other medication can I take to relief the pain totally? ## If the swelling has gone down, but you are still experiencing that much pain, then you should consult a doctor, again. It is not normal to have severe pain, from a healing sprain, so my concern is that there may be a fracture, or something that they missed. Swelling can sometimes cause them to be missed, if it is severe, at the time they do x-rays. Using Mallinckrodt M357 hydrocodone and pain was perfectly controlled. About 20 months later my pharmacy changes the manufacturer to Watson. This new hydrocodone is not working as fast nor as effective. This leads me to using more than i normally would with Mallinckrodt M357. I am still within the doctors prescibed range but i do not like using any more than need be. My doctor has not an answer.
