I recently moved to Houston and have no idea where to look for a doctor, especially one who will write a prescription for pain medication without making you feel like a drug head. Just like many many other people I have sciatica & a degenerative disc in my back. I can usually tolerate the occasional flair ups with just Motrin but the pain that usually lasts for a day or so has been constant for over a week and Motrin and Tylenol around the clock have not helped at all. If taking 3-4 Hydrocodone 10/325 per day; if the person stopped today, for how long would the blood test show positive? Any way of decreasing that time? ## This is a generic for Vicodin, it contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, the Hydrocodone is a narcotic and narcotics are usually detectable in blood tests for only 6 to 12 hours, after taking them. There is no actual precise time, because it can vary from person to person, depending on their overall health, other medications, length of time they've been taking it and etc. I really don't know of any safe way to try and alter these times in your blood stream. I want to know what this drug is for? ## Objectively, the best way to identify a pill with no markings is to have its contents analyzed by a lab and/or drug panel. Otherwise the description is too broad to match anything in particular, with potentially hundreds or thousands of possibilities ranging from over the counter supplements, foreign medication or counterfeit/illicit drugs... One thing is for certain though, and that is the FDA requires all US pharmaceuticals to bear an imprint/marking for identification. I would like to know the amount of hydrocodone in a teaspoon dose ## I cannot say that definitively, there are several dose available ranging from 1.67mg per tsp up to 30mgs per tsp. You would need to read the label or ask your pharmacist to know which one you have. ## I need to know if m-end syrup (0667-20-10 MG/5m) contains any type of narcotic, because it will interact with suboxone.

Hi guys, so I have severe scoliosis which causes a lot of pain and have been prescribed 10mg hydrocodones. The problem is that I also use marijuana on occasion for my anxiety. I have been going to the same pm dr for about 5 years and I always used fake urine to pass. This was never an issue until recently when a new dr came in. I know it's dumb but I wasn't aware they were checking the level of hydrocodone as well and now the new dr is telling me he can't prescribe them to me anymore because all my U/A's were "clean". I really need the pills to sleep at night and I'm nervous I will be cut off permanently. Does anyone have any insight? I'm having Jones fracture surgery in the morning and would like to know if I can take a hydrocodone today for pain? ## Hi Jodi, Generally, it's best to consult with the surgeon concerning pre/post op preparation and instructions. If the hydrocodone is taken too close to the operation, I think it's very important to let the anesthesiologist know before hand so that they can make any necessary dosage adjustments to whatever they administer. If you don't communicate with the surgeon or anesthesiologist then it could create a potentially dangerous drug interaction or overdose. At any rate, I know you posted this a couple months ago, so I hope everything went smoothly!

Hi my husband had carpal tunnel surgery done he is taking hydrocodon with acetaminophen 5-325 2 tablets every 4 hrs can he also take Advil ## They can be taken together, as long as his doctor approves. For instance, if you received one prescription from one doctor and the other from a different doctor, it is going to be considered fraudulent to have them both filled. Generally, the only way it would be acceptable to have them both filled is if you'd gone to a doctor and were prescribed the lower dose one, had it filled, discovered it wasn't strong enough to handle your pain, then returned to inform them of that and as a result they prescribed the higher dosage. I've been on Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 5/325 since 2000, for osteoarthritis. What is the best way to stop taking them? Do I slowly back out of them? I'm in my seventies and I fear the withdrawal symptoms will be too much for me. I'm also concerned that I will suddenly be told I won't be able to take them anymore. Due to the current attitude and caution about opioids, I skipped some doses in order to have extras, in case. I want to have some extra pills available so I can back out of this drug more slowly if this happens. I took half of a hydrocodone/a pap 5-300 at 6pm and my 0.5mg of clonazepam at 11:30pm Will I be ok?
