I am out of my hydrocodone... Can I take tramadol temporarily until I get my prescription? I'm used to taking 10-325s. These tramadol are 37.5-325. How do I take this? Please help! In chronic pain. ## Tramadol is a serotonin drug. My Hubby takes 1 tab every 6 hours. But they are 50 mg tabs. I would NOT go over the one every six hours. But if you taken another drug that has anything to do with serotonin receptors are involved. I wouldn't take. You would be in far more trouble with serotonin poision then your chronic pain. Call your pharmacy if you don't want to call your doctors office. Or just pick a random pharmacy. Better to call and ask them end up in the ER. Please be safe. Call first. I need help! My father was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer a few months back! They prescribed him hydrocodone 10/325mg! He now has begun to have some sort of mental status change because of the effects of the chemo on his body! He thinks he's suppose to be getting three hydrocodones at a time, and even with showing him the bottle and reassuring him he's not , he becomes very angry/agitated saying we are trying to kill him and that my step mom don't care and just wants money etc and that he's divorcing her! I take Prescription 5mg/ 6 tablets. Would that show up the same on a drug urine screen as one 30mg? ## A regular urine drug screen just detects the presence of opiates, it does not detect the specific ones or how much. So, yes, it would show up the same. Just make sure they know you have the prescription, when you are tested. Are there any other questions or comments? ## What if you have a script for 12 5mg perc and want to take one 30mg Roxie what would show on a hair folical test? Or what if you take a 30mg Roxie and break it in half and do one day and the other the next? I tested positive for hydrocodone. I take oxycodone hcl and morphine. I didn't take anything with hydrocodone in it. I had been on hydrocodone for approximately 13 years until I had to change doctors. My new doctor didn't believe in pain medication. I have been off hydrocodone for nearly 3 years and my pain is getting really bad again. One doctor prescribed Tramadol but now that is a narcotic and the doctor will not prescribe it anymore. I suffer from fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, scoliosis, myofacial pain and I can't believe none of my doctors will prescribe me something for pain. My wife found a partially dissolved (cannot read anything on itl) pill in the bottom of our washing machine. It is the same shape as a hydrocodone although he does take acne medicine that is called bactrim. which is a much larger pill but it could have just dissolved alot in the washer. the shape is similar. I dont honestly think my son uses drugs but I wanted to be safe ## Without any identifying markings, the only way to be sure would be to have it checked by a lab, which can be rather expensive. You really can't keep taking such high amounts, at once, you're far exceeding the dosage limits for the Acetaminophen, which is only 1,000mgs maximum per dose. 6 tablets would be 1,950mgs per dose. It's also not safe to exceed 3,000mgs of Acetaminophen a day, due to the risk of liver damage, liver failure or fatal toxicity. which is more potent hydrocodone-acetaminophen (5-325) or Acetaminophen/cod 3 (300/30mg)? ## Milligram for milligram, hydrocodone is reported to be significantly more potent than codeine. So even with the difference in milligrams I'm going to have to assume that the generic norco you have may be more potent from what I've read online. While everyone's experience may be different, I have also seen comments from patients who've tried both and feel that "10mgs" of hydrocodone far exceeds the potency of "60mgs" of codeine. Though that may not be as accurate for someone else with a different tolerance, it does go to show that hydrocodone is superior and probably shouldn't ever be substituted for codeine in that sense. Just trying to figure out what the actual mg are for these pills. I see 2 different ones. Usually on a bottle it would give just 1 number on what Mg's it is... Are these 750mg or 375mgs?
