Im Marina Im 24 years old and a mother of 2 beautiul little boys. From the years 2006-2007 i was heavily addicted to Oxy 80 and eventually started doing herion. I got help in sep.2007 at a methadone clinic, it worked for as long as i was on the methadone i had NO relapse's. In June 2009 i was completly off of the methadone that first day that i was on 0Mgs I went through extreme withdrawls i went through things that i would never wish upon my worst enemy! i stayed that way for a day and a half and decided to go to a suboxone doctor. He put me on 32 mgs a day which i thought was pretty high of a dose but he explained to me that methadone withdrawls was worst then any other withdrawls. so i trusted him. Now when i go to see him every month i pretty much beg for him to start the weining process and start lowering me and he pretty much refuses. After months of being on 32mgs a day he finally started tapering me down slowly, i never really thought any thing of it till now but i realized he's keeping me on the suboxne for as long as posible so that he can get my $200.00 a month. all he is, is a legal drug dealer bc now im highly addicted to the suboxone. I recently had to go a few days with out my suboxone bc i didnt have the money to see him and i went through hell. i thought methadone withdrawl was bad OMG there is no comparison. i wanted to either use which i havent done in years or rip my face off lol its funny now but it definatley wasnt funny a few days ago while i was feeling that way! So i spoke to a good friend whos going through the same thing and he told me that they just came out with a new pill to get you off suboxone. I just want to know if that's true. I tryed googleing it but i cant find any thing. If you have heard of this new pill please respond or if you even have a good way to get off soboxone as painless and posible... thanx

That's all he gave you was Cloludine? That doctors a cop out. High blood pressure med. Most don't know s*** about Suboxone, let alone an exit plan on getting off. It's a lousy 8 hour class room course that I think they can even do it online as well.

He is on way too high of a dose. He is having the effects of taking way to much. It's kinda the same effect that opiates or pain pills can give you if you take too much as well. Get him help in a rehab and don't let him stay on suboxone for long it is a horrible drug for many reasons. The most important is honestly from a former opiate addict myself it is easier to taper yourself off the pain meds then it is to get off suboxone. See suboxone goes in your bone marrow and stays there for many many months after you stop taking it which makes the withdrawals horrible for a long period of time. He really should go to rehab and get the help he needs most.

There is a old saying why jump out the window when you can take the steps. Coming of anything is not easy, but it can be done if you don't rush it. I am on suboxone , however I found the answer, the best thing to do is bring your blood level down slowly. I've taken my suboxone and cut it up into small pieces , I told my doctor and now I know why he didn't want me to do it. You can come off when you do it that why, don't take big doses, only take enough so you won't get sick. You my get a little sick at first ,but take small bits and it will go away. Keep doing it this way and in time slowly decrease your pieces. I was taking 8mg a day ,now Im down to half 4mg. When you take small pieces for a long time and then take a big piece you will be high as hell because you have lowered you blood level. In time you can decrease the pieces bit by bit and you can come off. At night get a sleep aid . Don't jump out the window take the stairs come down step by step and it will work.

If you are not sick and have gotten over that, just get an anti-depressant. Any doctor can give you a script for that and stay on them for awhile until all the sub is out of your body. The body will heal and this too will pass.

I have been on suboxone for years at 16mgs and am doing a 50 day detox. Going all the way down to .13 mgs. Its my 8th day and i feel ok. I know.i have a ways to go but I'm optimistic about this. If anyone has any advice or anything could you please let me know.

I'm Michael been on 16 milligrams for a year year and a half when I had 30 left a taper down then. me and my wife I went from thirds for 2 weeks 2 quarters to 1/8 after a month of tappering down we did a little unorthodox rather genius plan to beat the 2 weeks hell of detox i thought cool baby we made it and we did threw that part but still more to come because now we need sleep what's that where is it all i had to do is close my eyes and out like a light praying to god more then a hour please i can't sleep I don't want to be awake as i tell my wife pit the a.c. on 60 it feels like were two pieces of wood on fire under the sheet my mind raceing how how did I do this to me but I know I've always been a smart ass and I would always tell people don't ask questions you already know the answer to and I find myself asking myself the question I already know the answer too so 3 day's no sleep no $ we can't work Saturday 330 a.m. God's talking to me watching church. T.v. I'm going to church tommrow we did in the sermon was on adversity how would you deal with it good or bad it was pointing right at me I thank God that I wasn't going through it alone my wife were each others back bones we just kept telling each other it's going to get better it's getting better and it has been getting better and I had been looking up herbs and natural remedies and we went to the vitamin store and got some vitamins to help with anxiety and mood swings. Kratom for the body pain and we tried it and it's been working great my brain is focused her brain is focused I went out yesterday and found me a job I'm starting a job Monday I never thought I'd be able to do it so soon I'm looking for things to do around the house I feel great thank God for all his blessingsshe feels great we are blessed and there is light at the end of the tunnel there is hope it does get better we've been supporting each other and we could have made it without each other we don't want no drugs its it's truly a blessing so beautiful day sleep life is good you can be there to you will be there too just know in your heart that it's going to happenjust don't forget the main thing thank God for your blessings every day and know that he's with you and it's been 21 days sitting outside on the porch drinking a cup of herbal tea about to cut the grass 9:30 in the morning good luck everybody

I went online and you put how much your on and it tells you how to taper off. If its a higher dose it will take more time. Right away it cuts your dose in half. Suboxone used to run my life but not anymore. I go down to 1mg tomorrow and I feel ok. I'll let you know in a week when I'm taking less.

Hello there. Looks as if your going through a rough time!!! Look I actually have the answer to your problem!!! As I myself just went through 9yrs. of Subutex Tx. & a prior 8yrs. of Methadone Tx. Luckily my colleagues & friend's are Psychiatrists & other various Dr.s MD.s, Internal Medicine etc. I myself am almost a Dr.Ok back to you're situation. When I came off buprenorphine, Subutex. It took me 6 months to feel about 75% normal!!! It is by far alot worse than Methadone!!! With Methadone it is the most intense WITHDRAWALS YOU WILL EVER GO THROUGH!!! The Buprenorphine is a slow death. Its 6 months off slow torture!!! I've seen my friend blow her face off bc of the Intense depression it causes!!! I came off Methadone 4×s cold turkey and let me tell you. That was awful!!! Methadone is 30 days of the most intense pain and suffering one can imagine and bear but after 30 days its over!!! It breaks just like a Scarlett Fever and then your fine. Here's the good news!!! Buprenorphine A.K.A. Subutex, Suboxone binds to the mu and Kappà receptors.The Mu receptor is actually the morphine receptor & the Mu is an agonist. Buprenorphine Binds to it 1st. and kicks in fast within an hr. Then goes to the kappa where it becomes an antagonist. Then begins to fade. When coming off drink 8-12oz.s Of grapefruit juice. This will increase the effect of the Buprenorphine and will help one who's tappering off Tremendously!!! It's the equivalent to drinking Alcohol with opiates. I've never tapered off!!! Always cold turkey!!! Now here's a huge help!!! Take 200mgs of TEGRETOL 1-3 times daily P.R.N. & Catapress 1mg. as needed. Honestly all you need is the TEGRETOL!!!! You'll be fine. Hopefully this will help you. AS IM POSITIVE IT WORKS!!! Call if you need any further advice. I've plenty more but must go for now. Work awaits.I'm pulling for you Leslie!!!

I was on Subs for about a year. Finally I couldn't afford it anymore, so a friend of mine told me how she tapered down to1/8 of a strip for a month and then jumped off. So I gave it a try and it worked for me also. Now I'm not saying it was easy, it was anything but easy, but if you want off as bad as I did you will do this. It's been about 5 months since I've been off and I'm feeling well. I do have to go to a Pain Management Doctor for injuries I received at my job. But they do not give me anything really strong, I still have some pain, but truthfully, I'd rather suffer some pain than be on Subs. I did have restless legs, no sleep and all the other things people talk about. But never again will I ever take Suboxene again. There is hope for everyone. Just make up your mind and stay focused, it will all end. All my best to you who are trying to quit. I hope you make it. It's much better on the other side.

I'm sorry that is not the truth! Sub withdrawal is the worst thing I've ever been through in my life. Lasted 44 days and I lost my will to live. It's was constant suffering , trips to the ER for fluids, endless nights with no sleep at all!

I am very interested on how to get off them subboxen, I first was on 2 a day threw matnince program, I walked off cold turkey now I finding it very very difficult to just stop and I am literally on half a day maybe sometimes a whole one a day half a night half in the AM .... I WANT OFF!!!! I do not know where to even start? I cannot go away to detox because of unfortunately my history! Smh! Please please reply and help me to get off them all together??

Clonidine, baclofen, and low doses of either at Ivan or xanax. I am coming off of 32mgs for the last 2 years. Opiate junkie for 15 years. I'm on day 7. I also eat a lot of cannabis edibles. That is what I think saved me the most. I mix wax (dab oil) with a low heat coconut oil. Mix the two, do not cook them. Let them mix together. Put in fridge. Let oil harden, swallow small doses. It will be hard to tell your dose at first, so be easy. But it will help you eat, relax, laugh. Turn on the music real loud. I've eroded a lot of times in my life. I've never felt anything like the suboxone detox. I went to the ER on day 3 and just told them the truth. I was given a lil relief. But I'm a single mom who stays home with 3 of my 5 kids. 2 teenage boys a 3 yr old girl. My life is crazy. To say the least. I have had to remove myself from the house for at least this first week. Any sort of stress or aggitation makes it so much worse, and I'm off crying in a ball on the floor cause I feel like such a piece of s***. Lol. I'm not tho. I'm almost done. And that's amazing. But f*** subs. Clonidine is what they gave me in rehab years ago, it's a blood pressure med. Helps immensely. And I had no issue getting it from the er. I have been tapering down for 3 months. Last Sunday was the last bit of sub dust I had. I still can't sleep, I'm antsy, and just need to be left alone. And I've been made to feel bad for wanting/needing those things. But this is MY DETOX and ONLY I can do it. So don't be afraid to tell people who are overwhelming you to step away for a few weeks. If they love u and care about you, they'll get it. But you need to come first right now. I know as moms, we feel like we can't take the time to stop. But sometimes we HAVE to!!!
