Hi, I was put on the 8 mg. strips at 3 per day in Oct. 2012..I used 3 per day for a couple of month's.. I quickly tapered down to 1&1/2 of the strip's per day..I got so tired of being on it so I began to stock pile it to withdraw on it at home.. I got down to 1-2 mg.s per day for about the past month and began yesterday (Monday) withdrawing..It's now Tuesday (July 9,2013) and still feel like I did yesterday.. No vomiting nor the big "D" but sweating, lethargic, chilling, feel achy, etc.. How long will it take for the withdrawal's to completely go away..PLEASE answer ASAP & THANKS....Oh, don't scare me about it because I'm all ready an emotional wreck..

chelle because melatonin is closely related to serotonin and too much of it results in serotonin syndrome. especially if your taking the tramadol too. just a bad combo. it doesn't affect everyone that way, but just be aware of it. good luck

I agree 100 percent. I wish I would have never started that drug also. I wonder if the suboxone really helps, orjust makes things worse.

Wayne. I found the suboxone was better than taking the pain medicine. Of course it does not help pain at all but I had been on pain medicine so long it was not helping either. Damned if you do and damned if you don't . When I went on the subs I didn't. know there were opiates in it too. I am down to 2 8mgs a Week. I still get feeling the withdrawals when it is time for me to take them. I want off of them but not up to the withdrawals. I have not found the solution yet. But I can say I do feel better on the subs then I felt on pain meds. I still hurt but I can think and I am not out of it. If you can try not to take it every day. When you can go 2 weeks without give them up. I was stupid when I did this and now I have to have some even if it is just a tiny piece. Good luck. Rely. On your gut feeling and stop taking them when you are off them for 2 weeks.

My first though is dont. Subutex doesnt block opiates. So thats bad right there incase something happens. Suboxone has red flags on that if abused will cause bad withdraws. Are you having open conversations with you regular doctor. Tell them you dont want anything with the word subs. You need to get gabapentin. It is not a controlled substance. Get on it. So you can start feeling normal again. When is the last time you were clean

So im not a doctor. I know soboxone has a long half life like i could go 3 days with out it. I had built a tolerance though. Usually what happens with a suboxone is whenever you take a suboxone that blocks the opiates from giving you a high and I have heard about people that have taking suboxin and then like a day later used an opiate and it has made them go into withdrawals and made them really sick.

Luckily your not on too high a dose, thank your lucky stars for that. Ive been on 2-8/2 subox for 7 years. I just recently changed to one subtex and 1/2 a sub and i feel fine so far. Going to start 1/4 subox and the one subtex then ill be totally off suboxone and ill slowly taper doen from there. I know how you fell, the world does not stop while you are trying to withdraw. Just go slow and maybe try some natural remebies too or even something light from doc for sleep/anxiety. I wish you the best and also they do make rls pills. I have had restless leg syndrome even before there was a name for it and it runs in my family. Its 100 times wosre when your withdrawing...just be strong try to walk to relieve stress or work out if possible. That helps and hot baths and hot tea. Let us know how you are doing and like i said be very thankful you are on such a small dose!

OMG, thank you!!!! Subs are the stupidest medicine ever invented!!!!! I'd be CLEAN rite now if it wasn't for stupid suboxone and how hard, if not impossible it is to get off of them and still function. Anyone who considers themselves "clean", but is on subs, ur still feeding ur addiction and are faaaaar from clean yet

I was on 2 subs a day and my doc gave me lunesta and xanax too. So it aint that hard if you know hiw to get what you want..im no longer doing that but yes, docs will do that.

There can be residual Suboxone in your system up to 14 days. Some will say 72 hours however I found that drug panel results can still be positive for Suboxone at day 14. It is recommended not to take Naltrexone for at least 14 days. When I detoxed I did not even start withdrawals until day 7.

Try Ashwaghanda. It works really well. Also buy tyrosine. Those two are a must. Take the tyrosine in the am and the Ashwaghanda both am and pm.

Suboxone is way worse than Subutex. I felt awful on Suboxone then switched to Subutex and felt way better! No brain fog, sweats, or depression. All that crap was from the naloxone. That being said, I've been on this drug for 14 years and I've tried to detox off it years ago. It's awful! Way worse than regular opiates because it lasts so long. The best way is to taper super slow. Get down to 1 mg a day for a while then start taking 1/2 mg a day for a few months. Then start doing 1/2mg every other day. For a few months. Until you can go a couple days before you need a dose. At that point you can start to go 3 or 4 days or until you feel uncomfortable before you need to take a tiny dose (I'm talking 1/4 mg if you can get that small). You will need to stock pile some extra pills before you do this in case.
