I had a friend that took kratum. It is over the counter but expensive and just as addictive. He would do anything to get it. It comes in capsules like vitamin supplements but would not suggest taking it before a drug panel. I don't know but it's legal for now

There are a lot of posts on this website about early withdrawal from Suboxone. I found a lot of really great advice & support here that I could NOT get elsewhere. I suggest that anyone recently withdrawing, tapering, or preparing to do so look some of those up. Anything I would say would be redundant. I have been 100% Suboxone free for almost a year now & I am still not back to "normal." I took 2-4 mg a day for approximately 2 years. It has been quite a journey. I'm not going into any war stories; experiences seem to vary. Mine was apparently extreme. What I will say is this: if you haven't started-DONT. If you are on it-STOP. Get help wherever & whenever you can. It's bad stuff. I am so grateful I made it this far. I wouldn't wish my experience on my worst enemy. Best of luck to you.

Wow, you scared me, and I'm not even thinking about back surgery. Hey kids, just say NO and stay in school. Don't let this happen to you. A waste is a terrible thing to mind.

Wean yourself down. Just don't stop ! That's asking for a bad way to go! Tapering is the secret, along with gabapentin, ambein, antidepressants if you need, and last, Tramadol at a low dose.

I have been where you are and I had an unplanned pregnancy and was told to stop everything all at once. I almost died and my now beautiful baby girl as well. I did a 5 day detox in the hospital and I was in HELL. When I got home, I felt better ( probably since I hated that hospital so much ) but my symptoms soon came back. So my doctor slowly tapered me down over the course of 6 months. And I felt great. I was on 8mg of Xanax when I found out I was pregnant and switched to klonipin and was at .125mgs once a day by the end of the 6 months. So my suggestion would be to have a good doctor you trust to help you get off of suboxone or any type of benzodiazepenes.

Hello I a writing you to see if I can get any information or help with my situation. I have been on suboxone for a yr but been tapering down for the past 6 months, I hate being dependent on them and need to have a small surgery done and I take ab 2 and a half mgs each morning one time a day and I feel withdrawls by that night and the especially the next morning. Is there anyway you could tell me how long it would take to get suboxone out of my system? Need to know how long to give myself before scheduling my procedure.

It seems to be different for everyone for which non narcotic drugs that you can take for withdrawal. It depends on your symptoms. If you have nausea, Zofran is a great drug for that. If you have stomach cramps, Bental is a great drug for that. For anxiety and hot and cold sweats and just plain old jumping out of your skin type s***. Personally I think that the combo of Neorotin, Visteral and clonidine works great. Now all of these drugs are prescribed by a doctor. I don't want to add to anyone's problems but Klonopin works great for every symptom of opiate withdrawal. But I must warn you Klonopin is a highly addictive drug and you can die from overdose or once you have been taking it for a while and become addicted, if you stop taking it all at once you can die. I hope this was helpful. Also try going to NA meetings there are so many different groups and meetings out there, you will be able to find one that's right for you and be able to help you. Good luck!

I've been on suboxone since it first came out.I've been on forty milligrams a day starting out, colotipin, and all sorts of other drugs. I tried to get my life back and start cutting hair and even running and working out again. It all came crashing down. I was still broke inside! I quit for 51 days. I had two seizures since then, I'm struggling, I'm scared, I want to stop and I can't. I'm dying inside and never have felt this f***ed up. I'm strong, but I'm getting my ass kicked. idk what to do, no drug or human can help me! I did this to myself. I pray I can do this, my life depends on it.

Today is day 14 for me. I honestly don't know why I ever started pills or even soboxin , I guess because I thought it made me happier with life. I managed a bank, had a household to maintain and four kids total that I had to take care of and it helped as horrible as that sounds or atleast I thought it did. I never thought I'd let a substance take control of my body but who does? I was so emotional for the first week and it slowly got better , but today I finally see the light. When I came off of it I didn't mean to at that moment I was going through major stuff and four days later I realized wow I haven't taken anything for four days and decided no more. My advice if you get emotional like myself have a support system because you need someone to show you that things will get better and to stop beating yourself up and don't eat Taco Bell. I do have a question though, tomorrow morning I am going into surgery and am afraid that the medication won't help with the pain at all because it's only been 14 days but I was down to a small dose once a day a strip would last 2-3 almost 4 weeks. I have one script for antibiotics , muscle relaxers and demoral , does anyone know if the fact that it will be day 15 whether the medication will help the pain because it's tomorrow and I am so scared that it won't ?

So far so good. I used subs for 4 days, about 1/8 strip every 5-6 hours when I'd start feeling wd's from the pills I was using. Now it's all about willpower not to use. Obviously. I want to thank everyone for sharing your experiences, struggles, and opinions. I pray that each of you succeed and get well. Do not give in, you can do it. I hope we all make it through to the other side. In the struggle...

Rick ,it's fine if you need to the Suboxone ,just don't say on it long its worse then say ,in my case Fenytanl . I know it's a pardox me saying that. But the real point ,is just don't stay on it long ,or take more then 8 mg. actually if he's giving you more ,he's just making it worse . If you can cut it down ,so its a 2 mg , the better. But I don't know your whole position ,so you would have to write me if they print my email address , Also it's may 16,2015 some of these are old. People get off then just say frack it ,I'm not wanting to talk about it again. And I feel for them .Which I don't Blame anyone for doing that . I guess it will come like that for us too. we have to move on and your just over it all,you know . But I'm here for now . Ask away

Ok everyone, I'm here to tell you that most of the doctors that give subs out are not in it to help us! Mostly because it's a easy 8 hour, believe it or not, freaking online course. I am a former Army Ranger. I give you my word I won't lie or steer anyone into the wrong place, or do you dirty with garbage talking! Also I live in San Jose, Ca. The whole GP office I go to? They're there to help us / you out. If you have insurance Medicare / medical disabled etc etc Healthy Familes is the place part of the O'connor hospital system here! I'll tell you exactly how I'm doing it!! I'm slowly beating it, but doing it. Least amount of discomfort as possible. {edited for privacy}. Hope they help us all! Thanks medschat.

I have literally run out of words to express my "intense dislike, lol" of Buprenorphine & all its incarnations. Kick whatever you're on; it will be much easier. (Speaking from experience & I'm not talking about a few Lortabs. I'm taking about the Big Stuff.) Coming off a very small dose of subs (2mgs or less) for a very short time-4 months, tapering to 1/32 at the end, STILL brought me to my knees. It's a very strong OPIATE. Just because there is no "high" does not mean that it has not bonded tightly to your mu receptors & will leave quickly & without major withdrawal.
There are things that helped me: Gabapentin, Clonidine, water & Gatorade, loperamide, and mostly (& I hated it, EXERCISE. I had to sweat it out painfully) I had to see a PCP & get Linisopril & propanol because it affected my blood pressure. I was was also lucky enough to get Librium.
Opiate withdrawal is a terrible, horrible thing & I believe that Buprenorphine can be an amazing "stepping stone." It is, NOT a maintenance drug. For that purpose, methadone is much more economical & the withdrawal is nearly identical.
Chronic pain patients, please disregard this post, sorry.

Same with me ,tramdol light dose month only ,hey it's new to all these doctors . But diff don't go back to the Sub doctors because he just wants your money . Also ask for some Ambein or trazadone to add to the lists. Eat force your self out magnesium baths salts help too. Even can use Vicks rub a big ol glob on your feet,it then moves up to your calves and up to those deep achs you feel , put on pair white socks on.that helped me and always ask for short term scripts they should see your sincere with that. Just that first month is worst. Tell your doctor from your heart and not a Sub doctor ,who's just a lair anyways . But to a GP you know. I'm established in mine ,so they'll here me out and diff listen . If not ? Walk out find another out there with a heart l you can do this and will

I'm 57. Due to injuries I was out on fentanyl, then spent the past 7 years on 8 mg daily Subs. With one of those creepy doctors that just wants your $175 bucks to $200 out the door you go. The new wave of addiction doctors doing nothing but writing you a script that he will probably keep you until you balls up, and say look, everything I ask about getting off your rude, or skips the conversation. Until I got tired of it and started doing research myself on it. Holy hell, this jerk, kept me on this way to long. So to shorten this up, I tapered myself down for seven months then jumped month and a half ago. My GP is helping me with Ambein, just started it, but for two days now all it's did was nothing. Yes I have all the usual were all complaining about. The legs, the tossing and turning like a crazy man, night sweats. Obviously Ambein isn't working so need to tell him about that. But don't expect anything from the ones that keep you on it way to long or get pissy with you? When you ask and say, man, hey do you have a Exit plan for getting off this? He'll mostly do what mine did when I go slot got in his scrawny little face. No I don't. Bam got with my GP, who just got his License, and said nick we will be glad to help you try. 95% crash out rate though, because it's so new and most doctors just don't know what to do, but prescribe.

He's a cool younger doctor, knows I'm a straight shooter so he's trying to figure out day by day with me. I'll calm him tomorrow and say the Ambein doesn't work. And he will go down a list of different meds he think might help. But everyone's different. I suffer no depression just flu like symptoms, and my lower legs are bad. All I can say is get a careening new doctor research and go in knowing what your talking about, and quite possibly they'll be there the whole way with you through this horrible process. And I mean a staffed doctors office, not a Sub doctors, that just crank out the scripts all day to us. Oh it's great stay on it forever. When your ready to get off its real easy just let me know. But hey that's a question for down the road. Yeah right way done the road. For us. Well for now running out of room so that's enough for today. Get that night sleep trazodone, tramadol, and something for like said sleep. Remember these are going to be light doses and short scripts. Month should get you through the hardest days and nites. It's a battle no doubt but don't listen to neg reports on it. It can be done. Just need a cool doctors office open to his heart and not opening up his wallet. They're out there. Good luck. Oh and depression, I take 50 mg of Effexor working great for me. Lethargic feelings are long too. Hey I'm still in this with you all. Like I said just got the Ambein, so no sleep tonight because for some reason, or reasons it's now working. Next plan now doc. All the best everyone.
