Hi Stuck on Subs,
I just sent you a long reply to your post to me, but it said "it had to be reviewed first". Probably because it is so long. In the meantime, let me help...I live in So Cal...where do you live?

Hi Stuck on Subs! Thanks for reaching out to me...I'm happy to help you. First of all, I have realized that MANY of the posts on here are unnecessarily scarey. When my 2nd visit to my new Dr, I told him that I was TERRIFIED to get off the subs because of all the negative and SCAREY posts on here, and he asks me to do him a few favors; the first favor is for me to TRUST him, the second favor is for me to follow his "detox plan", the third favor is for me to BELIEVE IN MYSELF AND REALIZED THAT I AM GOING TO BE SUB FREE WITHOUT SUFFERING, and then he looked at me with such a kind smile and said, "STAY OFF THE INTERNET". We both laughed because I knew he was right, the stories on some of these sites are enough to scare anyone into staying on Subs for the rest of their life! I followed his plan (although I had a hard time staying off the internet, those damn scarey stories!) I noticed that no one ever comes back on these sites and post about their POSITIVE experiences about getting off Subs and I honestly think it's because once you're free from the Subs, you're so busy actually LIVING LIFE AGAIN, that you move on and GET BACK TO LIVING. That's why I'm replying to your post...I want you to KNOW that there really IS LIFE AFTER SUBS AND IT HONESTLY FEELS LIKE COLORS ARE BRIGHTER, THE LOVE THAT YOU HAVE FOR YOUR SPOUSE, PARTNER, CHILDREN, FRIENDS FEELS RENEWED, DEEPER, FOOD TASTES BETTER, THE BIRDS ARE CHIRPING, GIGGLING TAKES THE PLACE OF "GOOGLING FOR WAYS TO GET OFF SUBS" DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY,FEAR,SHAME,LONELINESS, FEELING HELPLESS, FEELING LIKE A PRISONER, COUNTING YOUR PILLS, HOPING YOUR SUB DR DOESN'T STOP WRITING YOUR SCRIPTS, ALL OF THAT OBSESSIVE BEHAVIOR AND OBSESSIVE THINKING IS REPLACED BY THE MIRACLE OF GETTING OFF OF SUBS AND I SAY THIS WITH 100% SINCERITY AND HONESTY, "AS SOON AS YOU GET ON THIS (OR A SIMILAR PROGRAM, YOUR LIFE IS YOURS AGAIN!" YOU DON'T FEEL HIGH ON DRUGS, YOU'LL FEEL HIGH ON LIFE! And don't listen to any negativity like some people will post on here that, "you're just trading one drug for another". That's Bull Crap! After the Subs are out of your body, the Dr will taper you slowly off of the meds so that you won't suffer any withdrawals from this program. And if you have legitimate pain, your Dr will prescribe medication for you to keep your pain away. I'm following my wonderful Dr.'s advice and "HIS PROGRAM FOR ME" and here I am 7 DAYS HAPPILY FREE OF SUBUTEX! YEAH!! I HONESTLY HAVE NOT SUFFERED ANY WITHDRAWALS, IN FACT, I HAVE NEVER FELT BETTER!! So can you! To answer your question, I live in Southern California. Have you asked your dr to help you get off the Subs? I'm not surprised that your sub Dr hasn't offered this plan to you...these sub Dr's are making a fortune by getting patients addicted to subs and even more by keeping patients addicted to that Crap! Can you imagine if everyone got off subs? The so-called Sub Dr's would go broke! Scew them for doing this to us! What city/state do you live in? I mentioned to my Wonderful DR that I really want to help get the word out and help people just like he is helping me. Please let me know what area you live in and I will ask my DR how you can get in with a PAIN MNGMNT Dr or a Psychiatrist in your area or your surrounding area that WILL get you off of subs without suffering. I promise you that this program that my DR has me on works:-) There's no reason to be scared and there's a SUCCESSFUL, BEAUTIFUL, HAPPY SUB FREE, LIFE AND FUTURE FOR YOU...FOR ALL OF US WHO ARE BEING GIVEN OUR LIFE BACK! Please reply to my post and I will respond to it immediately. Hang in there, I promise you that you aren't doomed to life of Subs! Can't wait to hear from you, Btw, what's your first first name? My name is Tonya:-)

Hey there "Free From Subs!" I cannot tell you how hopeful your post made me feel. I've been on Subs for almost 4 years now. I've taken 8mg a day (one 8mg pill that dissolves under the tongue) almost the entire 4 years although occasionally I go a day or two without and have never felt any withdrawals. My point is I want off Subs SO SO SO BAD! I hate being dependent on something. It's beginning to cause me anxiety and a bit of depression because I don't want to be on them anymore. I would stop cold turkey if I thought it was possible, but after doing some research I've read the withdrawals from Subs can be terrible. You and your doctor seem to have figured out a great way of getting off Subs. What state do you live in? Do you know how I too could find the same kind of help you are getting? I'm pretty desperate to get off subs and if it means taking something else for a month so be it because I cant do this anymore. I just have no idea where to start to get the necessary help. The doc that prescribes the Subs is no help. Congratulations on getting off Subs! Your story is very encouraging! You've made me realize that there is an end in sight for me too. Please let me know of any kind of info you can give me to follow in your footsteps! I want to be 100% pill free as soon as possible. Thank you so much! I'll be anxious to hear from you.

I'm doing GREAT on my Dr.'s plan, Thank GOD, literally! I went from 8mg/day for 3 1/2 years...the dr that put me on subs said it ISN'T HABIT FORMING! Yah,right! Anyway, after I found my new pain mgmt Dr and he spent 2 hours with me, he put me on a plan that "WORKS GREAT FOR ME" and I am so thankful to him. After reading about such horrible wd's other people have suffered, I was still terrified to start his plan. I was supposed to stop the subs that day, wait for mild wd's to start and then take a 30mg Morphine ER and a Norco 10/325. Being scared that it wouldn't work, I took 6mg of subs for 3 days ( I didn't feel any different, I actually felt BETTER). I trust my new Dr. so after tapering from 8mg to 6mg p/day for 3 days, I really put my trust in my Dr and my Faith in GOD and I stopped the subutex. I prayed and asked GOD to give me the strength to get through without suffering any withdrawals. 24 hours after my last dose of that poison (aka Subutex), I was feeling GREAT! I am very always full of energy and I'm very active, but I felt like ME again! I took the longest shower of my life (I felt like I was washing away the 3 1/2 years of Subutex and all of the garbage that came with it). I put on my makeup, opened all of the Windows in our home...Beautiful sunny, warm day, I turned the stereo on and blasted my favorite songs, I was even HUNGRY! I rarely eat breakfast and I was expecting to be nauseated, but I was starving. I ate, ran errands (prepared for wd's) and I had a great night with my husband and our son. I slept great too. The next day (48 hours after my last 6mg sub dose) I had an equally Great day and another great night of sleep. At 72 hrs, my only symptom was a tiny bit of anxiety, but I think it was just fear of "what if I get wd's. At 80 hours, I felt great, just a little light headed. I didn't want to take any chances and as I said, I trust my Dr, so I took a morphine er 30mg and a Norco. I already take Xanax, so I took my Xanax just as I have been for these past few years. Here I am today on day 5 and I feel GREAT! I am ENERGIZED in the best way, I am young, but I feel like I have the energy of a teenager again. I am very Grateful to GOD and to my wonderful, caring and kind Pain Management Dr. Btw, my Dr. is keeping me on these medicines until the subutex is out of my system (one month to be sure) and then he will taper me off of the morphine er and the Norco. If I can help any of you PLEASE just ask me. I wish there was a way to talk in private, but you can ask me anything on here...we're all beating these subs together. Hang in there and GOD BLESS, T

smoke herb take zanax and a few methadone for a few days only. then use test. you won't have any withdraws. just stop all the other s*** after a few days stay on test several weeks after. its the miracle cure for withdrawal symptoms. keeps energy up and appetite gives u the boost u need to keep going.

The first thing you should stop is the xanax. Substances like xanax and valium have properties that the longer you take them the more they effect and harder it is. Doctors who prescribe suboxone have medicines specific for withdrawals from suboxone. When I first started subs I was told they would bot have withdrawal effects. I got on them for back pain and wasn't wanting to go down the narcotic route. Little did I know subs are the same s***, just diff day. My withdrawals from subs only consist of sweating at night and this is seven days after not having one. I went to my doctor and told him ibwanted to start weaning off of subs because I literally couldn't stand being drenched in sweat and not sleeping so I would take a small sliver of film sub and would be fine for couple days. He told me that when I am ready there are actual medications he can give that will help the withdrawals from the subs. It doesn't make everything perfect by all means but makes it tolerable and manageable (in his words). I have an appt in two months to receive these meds. If by then you need help I can tell you what he gave me and if it works. But I would start with the xanax first. That will be the harder one to stop especially if you take a few a day or if you have been on them for a while. I hope this helps. Take care.

Free from sub. I don't want to scare you at all. in 1973 had a roll over drunk driver car wreck, not my fault. broke my lower back just enough not to be parallelized and my pelvis in 3 place's, and also had internal bleeding they yet could never find, but it some how stopped. after learning how-to walk all over again and weighing only 80LBS I came back, So I thought well in 1994 after going to school I found a medical job, I loved it so much that I wanted to work in ER so I opted for surgery as you are doing I had l-4 l-5 and S-1 fused tighter, yet after a 11 days in the hospital went home with ton of pain meds, the pain was horrible, then you must do theraphy which is even more painful, so you quit Well I did for a while. anyway to make a long story short, they put me on this wheel to operate and they said it would be easier then a flat surface such as the surgery table. So I thought they know what they are doing, now I had this done in 2000, it is 2014. I cant stand straight, I cant walk with out a cane or crutch, I cant go to the store because the pain is so bad, so If you really don't need it don't do it, I was thinking of opting out but the Dr said they already reserved a room and had all the surgeons lined up so I went on with it, now I wish I would of never done it, lost my job and am on disability a measly $400.00 a month. And I am on more meds then ever, now after 10 yrs my Dr giving all these meds dropped me because of the new Obama care. so I am panicking looking for a Dr. look your Dr up get all the knowing of him, is he board certified and so on, I don't want to scare you I just want to keep you from knife happy surgeons, I wish I never did this, now some Dr's treat me as if I did this to myself, a stupid Dr I wanted to sue did this not me I called a lawyer and he was actually helping the Dr that I wanted to sue in another case like mine so I gave up for a while then the statue of limitations ran out 2 yrs is all you got to sue so I called another laywer and he told me to wait a good yr to see if I heal good, so I did then I called ack said I am worse and he said. It'll take to long to get your case together so I gave up please ck your options I have a rod, screws, and pins holding my spine up and you will too, they have to put that hard ware in you, but I am saying check your Dr out good luck God bless you

My new Pain Management just EASILY GOT ME OFF 3 1/2 years of 12mg Subutex by putting me on Norcos, Morphine er (30mg) and xanax (also Soma for restless leg syndrome) This is THE ONLY WAY TO GET OFF SUBS WITHOUT SUFFERING ANY WITHDRAWALS! Before you get pissed and start telling me that I'm substituting one addiction for another, please keep reading. (btw, I HAVE TO GET OFF THE SUBS FOR UPCOMING LOWER BACK SURGERY)
1. I quickly went from 12 mg p/day to 8 mg and 3 days later I went to 6mg of Subs using Xanax and I felt Great!
2. Per my Dr's and my plan, I stopped my Subutex cold turkey and waited almost 48 hours. (strangely I didn't have any wd symptoms (maybe from the Xanax)
3. At approx 45 hours off the Subutex, I took one 10/325 Norco and one 30mg Morphine er. I was scrared...didn't know how it would make me feel, but I felt NORMAL, THANK YOU GOD.
4. I went to see my Dr as planned today to see how I am feeling and I THANKED him and I told him that I didn't have any wd's at all. He upped my dose of Morphine er from 30mg twice per day to 60mg twice per day (just in case I start feeling any nausea or vomiting. The Norcos are for break thru pain if needed. I will take the Xanax in the mornings, in the afternoons and at bedtime as I have every night for several years for nightmares due to my parents passing away 37 hrs apart a few years ago.
5. My Pain Management Dr and I discussed how we will slowly taper me off of the norcos and the morphine 4 weeks from now. I will only use the morphine if I REALLY need it, otherwise, I won't use it. After me being on this plan for a month, the SUBS will be out of my system and I will begin getting Epidurals until I have my surgery on L4/L5. I AM THRILLED TO BE GETTING OFF OF SUBS (ALSO KNOWN TO EVERYONE ADDICTED TO IT AS "PURE EVIL")
I Thank GOD that he lead me to this Dr., he has gotten many patients off of SUBS SAFELY and I really do believe that other PAIN MNGMT DR'S ARE DRUG DEALERS THAT USE THEIR MEDICAL LICENSE AS A TOOL TO MAKE MONEY OFF GETTING US ALL HOOKED ON SUBS! AVERAGE OFFICE VISIT FOR THEM IS $200 EVEN IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE! THEY ARE CRIMINALS AND THEY DON'T CARE THAT THESE SUBS ARE RUINING PEOPLE'S LIVES! (I do believe that Subs are a lifesaver for the right candidates), but while Sub patients are struggling to pay for their office visit and their meds, these Dr's are living the HIGH LIFE (no pun intended) They took an oath "TO FIRST DO NO HARM" then they got GREEDY! PLEASE REPLY BACK TO ME IF YOU WANT FURTHER INFO AND OTHER DR'S THAT WILL HELP YOU WITH THIS PLAN. Take Care and GOD BLESS US ALL

It depends on how much of hydrocodone you were taking. I was on like 10 pills a day for about 2 years. I started the sub about 2 day ago. I really just take a tinny piece probably about 1mg or less and I haven't really felt any withdrawls just a little headache the first day. I'm an athlete and I train and push my body a lot and I've heard that excersize helps your body produce more neurotransmitters which is what you are lacking because of opioid abuse. Now on day 3 and I really don't feel the need to take a sub anymore I feel normal. Ibuprofen helped when I get the headache and a little cannibis to get me eating normally again and I feel great but maybe the amount of opioids in my system might be less than others Idk. so I know it could be hard but my advice would be to take as little of the sub as possible to keep you feeling normal try to exercise as much as you can which youre not going to feel like doing but try to exercise and eat regular meals. All the best
