I suggest you go back to school or tell the truth about your occupation, because fent yank WILL NOT show up in a panel drug screen. FACT!!

Buy a transdermal patch from Amazon. They work like a charm. They are breathable so they do not effect the administration of the meds at all. Been using them for this stupid non stick patches for 2 years. I always just put one on with every fentanyl patch I put on period. As for the testing, mine do not show up in the dip stick either. But when they send it out to the lab it comes back positive. But my pain management also does quantitative levels to make sure you are taking your meds as prescribed. They are pretty strict. Doesn't bother me because I'm strict with my oxy's and have timers set to take them, even at 3:30 am. Yep, I'm strict. Always have been with meds. Anyway, so I don't know why the fentanyl doesn't show up on the dip stick, must be like the others said its only a 8 or 12 panel then.

At A Loss, Your story sounds almost identical to mine. I also tested negative for Fentanyl many times at my pain clinic so my pm doc started sending my negative tests to the lab and it turns out that the dip sticks being used were showing a false negative as all samples sent to the lab came back positive. You need to ask your doctor to send your samples to the lab should you ever get a negative result from the dip stick test. I hope this helps.

Fentany definitely does not show up as an opiate. A separate test is required to detect fentanyl.many places are instituting this test though

This is very true I take suboxene and suboxene does not show up as an opiate on a urine test. That is why it has it own panel same as fent. It also has its own panel

You are absolutely right.

Whoever is saying it will show up as an opioid/opiate is the complete *****n. They need to test specifically for fentanyl for it to show up. I know because at my methadone clinic it doesn't show up. In order to get on methadone I needed to be tested twice cuz the first test came back clean. I needed to specifically tell them I take fentanyl for them to test for it.

Dr has ui sent to a lab with some high tech liquid testing system not gas chromatography. At first they told me I tested positive for methamphetamine, now that full story is in pm doc admits fentanyl threw the test off. But it still is showing up. Worst part is, when he saw the "methamphetamine" in my test, which he admits now was fentanyl, they cut off my pain meds and made me go into horrible withdrawal for a week. Then put me on suboxone, and it has horrible side effects. Oh and now that they admit I never had methamphetamine in me it's too late to go back to normal pain meds. Moral of this story is, if going to pain management, and they say sending off the ui, tell them if you even looked at fentanyl before you get F****d by some Dr who knows he is God.

If using iv, how long does it take for fentanyl to get out of someone's system completely? Like if sent to the lab.

I just wanted to offer you assistance with your Fentanyl patch & keeping it on your body. If you'll clean area with alcohol, then apply patch it WILL stay in place. I also use a transdermal cover patch with mine (which my pharmacist recommended). In the beginning I had same problems with them as you are experiencing. I was using soap & water to clean area... No!! The soap has a lanolin /moisturizer in it causing patch to NOT adhere. Try this and you will no longer lose it in shower or other ways!

I just had this done to me today.. he said he didn't see the usual adhesive marks like usual.. But with the heat and all its been dissolving faster in my system then after two days even with taking it off in interludes..the porous side gets clogged and is pretty much useless after putting it back on. So I'd flush them or wear an empty looking one that barely sticks.. I don't know how much more pain I can deal with..

I have pretty severe fibromyalgia, some interstitial cystitis, spondylosis, many bowel obstructions. Had stage 3 endometriosis, 8 surgeries for that.. Organs adhered together, chronic fatigue (which I do my best to hide). I'm 43 with 2boys. Any advice would be really appreciated.

It's hard to move and be a good mom. I'm scared they're gonna try to judge me if it doesn't show up. How odd huh? Thanks to Prince and a few other idiots.. But what can I do? Any help would be so appreciated.

Maybe, but they still make your body produce the same metabolites that will all be expelled through urine as a waste product in 2-3 days. They also use the same cell receptor sites and enzymes.
