How Long Does Valium Stay In Your System? (Page 13)

I've taken maybe five or six Valium in the past two weeks. The last one about two days ago. Other than that I have not taken anything besides Suboxene. Does anyone know how long it takes to get out of your system?

It all depends on how long, how much, and what benzos you take. For a user that takes benzos often will test dirty far longer than someone who takes one or two every two weeks. For example I have always had trouble sleeping and have had several panic attacks but i never saw it necessary to go to a shrink and get meds that i didn't need everyday.If it gets bad enough i will take benzos to calm me down. I took several xanax for the weekend and was able to pass the coming Friday. My friend however took several Valium and failed. I also passed on Klonopin also. But i never took Valium after that. It also depends on eating habits as well as water intake and exercise(sweating). I find that Powerade is the best. Way better than water especially if its tap. If you choose to risk it make sure that you allow the powerade to become lukewarm so you will urinate often....

Valium/Diazepam is a benzodiazepine & 1 of its metabolites Is N-desmethyldiazepam, which is what they can test for In urine to see if you've been using it & how much you've used.

N-desmethyldiazepam has a half-life of 100 hours, meaning that half of the dose of Valium you took remains in your body 100 hours after you took it-even if you can't feel its effects or don't think it's still working, it is. Then 50hrs later, you're down another half-life, and so on. Unfortunately, a lot of things come into play, especially how long you've been taking it and how much & how often, so there is no one specific answer for when Valium will completely be out of your system. The answer should be after all the half-lives are gotten through but benzodiazepines seem to do their own thing & every person is different.

If someone tells you it'll be out of your system in __ amount of time, I wouldn't believe them!

PJ--if you have a dr script for valium you should be fine. The drug test will ask what meds you're on/ List valium useage "as needed". I've been going to a pain clinic to get off fentanyl patches--got off them since May 7-now it's June 21. Still on 2-10mg of valium a day/ Haven't taken any for 2 days--feel ok-- see what happens.

I have taken valium everyday atleast 20 mg a day for 4 years almost. Im on suboxone program n it took 12 weeks n two failed drug test for it to clear my system. Every person it's different my doctor says

No matter what people tell you they are full of s*** benzo stay in your system for a long f***ing time. I took a handful of benzo's over two months ago and the f***ers are still in my urine. Do not I repeat do not believe everything people tell you on these sites.

That amount of Valium is not an overdose. I am prescribed 30mg of Valium a day (5mg 6am and 12 noon, 10mg 6pm and HS) and have been prescribed that amount for approx 20 years now for an anxiety disorder and bipolar. It all depends on each person's individual circumstance and the prescribing doctor.

You failed the test--I feel quite sure. You need to read the Ashton Manual--just Google it--anybody out there who needs info on benzos go there. It details how long it stays in your system (up to 200 hours) etc. Get the FACTS not people's experiences--everyone's different.

Addiction affects every part of our society, Rich, Poor, it knows no racial, religious, political etc boundaries. Even those who did not grow up surrounded by this disease can succumb to addiction by pure genetics going far back in the family or just learning dysfunctional coping skills. I am far from rich, I grew up surrounded by addiction and I have NEVER known a "Happy" addict or alcoholic! In fact they are usually quite depressed and often they are also self medicating for problems in their life. So whether you are getting drugs by prescription or on the streets, addiction is addiction. No one living or close to an addict or alcoholic is happy, it is a family disease that affects all who come in contact with it. For those of us who love people who are addicted from anything to drugs, alcohol, gambling, sex and i could go on and on, life is miserable watching your loved one kill themselves a little each day. Addicts/Alcoholics etc have a place to find Recovery! AA, NA, Gamblers Anon, etc. Those of us living with the addiction also have a choice for our own recovery having lived with the affects of addiction with Alanon, for teens there is alateen and even Alatot for little ones. I took back control of my life in Alanon, I am powerless over the decisions my loved ones make, I can't Control them, I did Not Cause their addiction, and most importantly I can't Cure them. I can help myself and that is what I choose to do every single day! I work the exact steps as they do in AA or NA just in a different context. I can love my family and friends who are afflicted and can learn to separate the person I love from the disease I hate! I consider myself a very lucky person to have hit my own bottom in dealing with this disease, and truly grateful to have been lead to Alanon for my own healing, piece of mind, serenity etc. If this reply leads even one person to Alanon to help themselves heal, learn how to put the focus of your life back on you, do the things that are right for you etc. Then I am good with that

Nurse since 95--can you please message me back. I'm concerned because I've been on and off valium for 30 years or so. I usually am prescribed 60 10mg a month, or 2 a day. I'm trying to stop, because the pain mgmt dr said I should. I went to her to get off Fentanyl 50mg every 3 days (botched total knee replacement) I've gotten off the Fentanyl since May 8th--then 200mg tramadol for a month--now 100mg tramadol for a month. I think she'll take me off the tramdol next week after the month's script is gone. Anyways, she insists the valium is HORRIBLE for me. I realize it takes months to withdraw from the valium by cutting a few mgs every couple of weeks, Do you think I should stop taking them for my health?? I have a ton of stress in my life and I've never felt "addicted" to them. I'd like some advice from someone else whose been there done that. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Anytime you take a screen, especially for work, make sure you tell them what you take, even over the counter. Some can show positive even OTC meds. You may have to get doctors note if positive, but if you declare when tested, and have a script, most employers will accept that.

i don't do hard drugs or smoke pot but a month ago i bought 25 10mg valiums over the counter on my holiday to Cuba. i used them on & off for a month. i know i ate 21 of them so i have 210 mg in my system the last 5 weeks. it has been almost 2 weeks since i took any but i paid for a 12 panel test & failed. i'm waiting for my lab results get my levels. i'm 250lbs & usually active at work but i just got off an easy job where we were not doing much. i would take a couple to help me sleep on vacation but i never mixed them with booze. i don't know what exact dates but i do know i had 4 left. pretty much worked it out to taking 20 mg a day for 10 days. i might have taken 1 on june 30 but i'm pretty sure it has been about 2 weeks. the failed test was after 10 days. i will post my lab result levels. it sounds like i will be needing a few months to clean up.

I ate 21 10mg valiums I bought in cuba at the beginning of june to help me sleep. I paid for a 12 panel test & failed. I think having 210 mg in my body in a month will take me about the same amount of time. I made huge mistake. I'm waiting for lab results to get levels. 300ng\ml is a pass I believe. I have to give up a good job opportunity because of it. I only done panel 5 tests. never heard of a panel 12. I would never have taken valiums I bought over the counter in cuba if I knew about panel 12 tests. lesson learned & $17 worth of valium just cost me thousands of dollars...

Has anybody ever passed a test 3/4 days later, for valium (diazepam) urine test that is, I've got a prescription but would like to pass the test, I've done the whole citric acid thing to get the metabolites out the system and I'm gonna drink about 4 litres of water on the day to dilute my piss and a can of rockstar, as it a duretic and contains vitamin B so that should get the colour back in the piss, I've done 15mg 10mg on the fri and 5mg on the sat, I've looked and looked for someone to say it was out my system in 3/4 days but can't find one so I will report back with results
