How Can I Get Subutex Not Suboxone? (Page 16) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI don't know how to go about this as I am shaking and can barely focus, I need help! Please. I fear that my life is going to end from my abuse of opiates. I am currently taking 250 mgs of oxycontin per day. I have a loving fiance and a stepdaughter that I want to be here for. I sit here with cold sweats, and fear going out just because I may make the fearful turn to the meds. Any and all info on how to obtain Subutex would be much appreciated. This wasn't what I wanted my life to be, and I can not let it end this way..Please help me. I am not a religious man but I pray for help as I am at my wits end with this drug.
hello kkh, i do understand about the nalaxone and have been successful staying off of opiates since october 2010, however, and maybe i'm just a weakling of some sort, but my real question is, and has been for quite a while now, is there any real difference efficacy-wise between suboxone & subutex? after taking suboxone close to 6 years now, the ceiling-effect came & went a long time ago, however it is a good backup antidepressant for me, as weird as that may or may not sound...whether it is psychologically or not, it just is, and i am pretty grateful, cause Lord knows these other anti-ds i take don't seem to do much of anything. I don't understand, why, after successfully taking subox as long as i have, would it be this big deal for me to be able to try the subutex. i'm curious as to whether or not it will have any side effects. subox gives me a weird, dizzy-ish/off-balance equilibrium sort of feeling several times a week. it's hit or miss and i am used to it, but it would be nice to never have this feeling again.
Tell the doctor you arent able to afford the suboxone. Subutext is way cheaper
Methadone treatment Center in Tennessee has Suboxone and Subutex...and Methadone.
DETRIA: That depends on where you live. In Colorado, Suboxone was about $15 a month more than Subutex. Not that much of a price difference here.
DANI: As far as there being any difference in the efficacy of Suboxone VS Subutex, there shouldn't be. The active ingredient in both of them is Buprenorphine, the only difference being whether the Naloxone is in there or not. The Bupe is the same. BUT....I was never able to take Suboxone because of my reaction to the Naloxone. I am a migraine sufferer, as well as having chronic nausea. The Naloxone made both of those worse. I was on Suboxone for about a week, and was nauseous and having headaches the whole time. I felt TERRIBLE. So the Dr. switched me to Subutex and the sickness went away. I didn't know much about Bupe at the time, so it definitely was not in my head. I didn't care whether I was on Suboxone, Subutex or whatever. I just wanted help. But the Naloxone DEFINITELY made me feel horrible. So while yes, Bupe is Bupe, and that part shouldn't be any different, the Naloxone can definitely make you sick if you have a sensitivity to it, or if you have a pre-existing condition like I did. That Naloxone exacerbated my nausea and headaches to the point where I was just going to go back to Methadone. Switching to the Subutex completely fixed the problem. Let me know if you have any more questions.
I don't know if what I am telling is still right, but many years ago I went on a trial taking suboxone to get off opiates. This was in 2000 so things may have changed so if I am not right please correct me. When we were chosen for the study I was given a Hep C and pregnancy evaluation. At that time if a patient was pregnant or infected with HIV or Hep C, we were sent to the methadone program. Suboxone was at that time not given to pregnant women or people sick with Hep C or HIV.
PATTY: I can't find this "Jackie" person you are responding to. Maybe he/she took her reply down??? I went back a few pages and I can't see anyone named "Jackie". I was just wondering what he/she had said that was a problem. ANYWAY>>>
I see they keep advertising this "Withdrawal Ease" product on here...I was wondering if anyone who uses this page had ever taken it, and how it worked. Please, if anyone has any experience with this product, let me know. Thanks.
Have any of you tried this "Withdrawal Ease" product that is constantly being advertised on this forum? Let me know if any of you have experience with it. Thanks.
DANI: Amen to that. My doc says to look at it like a diabetic that has to take insulin for the rest of their life. No different. We have screwed up our brain chemistry with these opioids, and our opiate receptors are a mess. They just aren't going to work the way they used to. My doc says if I were to go completely off of all ORT, I would "struggle". For some people, the old opiate receptors come back quickly, and for others they don't come back at all! Life is tough enough without an additional "struggle". Do what you have to do!
PAUL: I know, I was just wondering if it helped AT ALL, but according to Liz on here, NOPE. I will save my money. I am currently tapering down very slowly on my Methadone dose, and Clonidine, Soma and MMJ are the things that have helped me the most.
What do u mean because I am in a bad situation n I'm illergic to suboxone. I do have insurance .Medicaid n Medicare. I was going to the suboxone doctor which I paid out of pocket for the visit n insurance covered script except co-pay. The clinic does not prescribe subutex at all. They were not very helpful while I was there n when I went inpatient again bc I was having such a hard time the facility said I showed signs of allergies towards suboxone so the clinic told me they could no longer prescribe them to me n just left me not to dry. I want help n cannot find it anywhere.
Idk much except I'm an addict who doesn't want to be. I have CPTSD, bipolar with mania, insomnia, ADHD, on n on with mental health from abuse n trauma from a very young age thru recently. I know I've gone inpatient a few times now n although weak n I do go thru the withdrawal more comfortably n I feel more not crazy n hopeful to get better. When I get out n start my suboxone from a clinic I feel literally like I'm sick all over again but worse n my mental health symptoms go even more crazy. I talk to the doctors n go thru this for 1 to almost 3 months was the longest without help relief or advice as to What's happening to me. The only thing I know is that the meds inpatient don't do that to me n I've done everything to try to solve this problem. A doctor recently suggested I was illergic to the medication n just stopped prescribing it n said they were not licensed to give me anything else. I found out that subutex is what they give me inpatient n I know suboxone is what I get at these clinics that cost me hundreds of dollars a month to become crazier n sicker.
Wow dude, 750?!? Ya no one will take you and suboxonrs ceiling effect wont touch that. You need to wean down to like 40 mg to be able to switch to subs. A doctor has u prescribed on that?!? I hope you meant just 75
I can't find any doctor who will except Medicare and Medicare and all want CASH $250-300
Please help
All I want is my tramadol back. I took it for many painful years. I was diagnosed in 2009 with fibromyalgia and took it for years until a couple months ago I failed a drug panel for marijuana and now I am utterly sick and in severe pain. How is that right Barbara Tackett at Little River Medical? I didn't do anything wrong. I was in the hospital and I was diagnosed with severe bulb disc in my neck and degenerative disc disease and then all the sudden they take me off my meds and I don't know how much I can take. Please help me, she's out of Myrtle Beach South Carolina and I told her about the medicine they gave me from the hospital and she had actually acted like she forgot what I said and I swear I said it.

I'm in New Albany, Indiana. My girl is pregnant and I need to find her a doctor. Please help me. {edited for privacy}. Thank you.
JOEY: Go on Suboxone.com, put in your city or your zip code, and a list of doctors will come up in your area. I am assuming you need to find a doctor for Opioid Replacement Therapy, in other words, Suboxone.
