How Can I Get Subutex Not Suboxone? (Page 14)

Updated

I don't know how to go about this as I am shaking and can barely focus, I need help! Please. I fear that my life is going to end from my abuse of opiates. I am currently taking 250 mgs of oxycontin per day. I have a loving fiance and a stepdaughter that I want to be here for. I sit here with cold sweats, and fear going out just because I may make the fearful turn to the meds. Any and all info on how to obtain Subutex would be much appreciated. This wasn't what I wanted my life to be, and I can not let it end this way..Please help me. I am not a religious man but I pray for help as I am at my wits end with this drug.

What's the difference in Suboxone and subutex? Is one better than the other? I have choic pain and on Suboxone but with all the issues I'm having its really not helping with pain any longer and I do feel it gives me a headache. I heard of methadone and they say it helps better with actually pain I never was addicted to pills but once they worn off I was hurting again and worst so I told the drs I didn't want anymore perks or L10s. I am.veru new at this and want best to help my pain till I figure out what's going on!! Thanks

Hi BB, the only difference between the two is that one has an opiate "blocker"..naloxone it is called, that prohibits any opiate from binding to the mu receptors in your brain, which means that no matter how much you take, you will NOT feel High. ..the SUBUTEX does not haveany blocker, and both meds use buprenorphine as the rather weak opioid type main ingredient....hope this helps. ..HOUSE in the HOUSE. ..

DANI: Whether you take Subutex or Suboxone, the result will be the same. Switching to Subutex from Suboxone isn't going to change anything. The only reason Naloxone is in the Suboxone is to keep people from injecting it. They both have a huge binding affinity for opioid receptors, and you can not "use" with Subutex any more than you can with Suboxone. They will BOTH throw you into Precipitated Withdrawals. Which is the third ring of HELL.

HOUSE: You do realize that the Naloxone being in Suboxone doesn't make much difference as far as being able to use, correct? It is the buprenorphine ITSELF that has the huge binding affinity for opioid receptors. The Naloxone is mainly in there to keep people from injecting bupe. Subutex will throw you into Precipitated Withdrawals just as quickly as Suboxone will. I know this from my own personal experience, along with two addiction specialists and my own research. People mistakenly think that you can still use with Subutex, but it is just not true. You have to be in a pretty good state of withdrawal in order to start up your Subutex again, just like with Suboxone. So when you say that Suboxone has the "opiate blocker" in there and Subutex does not.....well, that's not entirely true. Bupe ITSELF is a form of "opiate blocker".

What was the point of your statement everyone knows that and not everyone can't just stop life and go to rehabilitation and yes Withdrawal sucks maybe u wasn't as hooked as u thought but some of use use major amounts and the sickness wins every time so the subs are a happy medium

If you're abusing Percocet then you are not absorbing more than 70% of the drug. Plus, abusing Tylenol is no Bueno. Better off taking them orally.

I'm looking for a Doctor located in or around Cincinnati, Ohio to take my daughter and her husband to so that they can be prescribed subutex for help with their drug addictions. I need a Doctor that accepts medicaid. They have Paramount and CareSource medicaid.

House, geez, I honestly don't know what the intention was in my crazy wording - talk about oxymoron to the umpth degree. I think what i meant was that i have never abused my suboxone tablets - even though I no longer get the tablets and have actually been using the film for the past 8-9 months. My main point was just wanting to try subutex over suboxone. Yes, i did indeed abuse full agonist opiate painkillers prior to starting on suboxone in 2010. From what i have heard of subutex, doctors really do not like or want to prescribe it & only pregnant women for the most part get this medication. I guess because it doesn't have the naloxone element it is somehow abusable.

DANI: The Naloxone in Suboxone is in there to keep people from taking it intravenously. Unless you are administering the Bupe intravenously, there really isn't a way to "abuse" Subutex. And if you are a genuine opioid addict, taking Subutex in this manner isn't going to cause euphoria anyway. The only people who are feeling high on Bupe are people who don't have a legit opioid habit.

Taking Subutex OR Suboxone too soon after taking full-agonist opioids will throw you into Precipitated Withdrawals. You have to wait until you are in withdrawal before starting the Bupe back up again, whether there is Naloxone in there or not. Doctors suddenly not wanting to give people Subutex is pretty ridiculous actually.

hello kkh, i do understand about the nalaxone and have been successful staying off of opiates since october 2010, however, and maybe i'm just a weakling of some sort, but my real question is, and has been for quite a while now, is there any real difference efficacy-wise between suboxone & subutex? after taking suboxone close to 6 years now, the ceiling-effect came & went a long time ago, however it is a good backup antidepressant for me, as weird as that may or may not sound...whether it is psychologically or not, it just is, and i am pretty grateful, cause Lord knows these other anti-ds i take don't seem to do much of anything. I don't understand, why, after successfully taking subox as long as i have, would it be this big deal for me to be able to try the subutex. i'm curious as to whether or not it will have any side effects. subox gives me a weird, dizzy-ish/off-balance equilibrium sort of feeling several times a week. it's hit or miss and i am used to it, but it would be nice to never have this feeling again.

If you have hep c you can go to the Dr and get put on subtext as opposed to the nasty vomiting taste of suboxone. But on 60 per month and I still have cold chills and sweats. So I would use because the meatballs will not give you 90 per month that works for everyone and not only 2 I cannot believe more people haven't spoken up about why ppl still us after getting clean the Dr wants u off like he has ever been an addict. And when they do take u off like I'm at 28 subtext per month and have been on a 4 MG dosage of xannax for years and now I'm at 0 because my dr lost his license. I'm need help to get a Dr to continue me on my anxiety medication and u need it quick I have ins.
Hope I helped you?

Try KRATOM! It's all natural leaf that works like an opiate but it's not, also it will help get you off of opiates without much withdrawal. Please do a little research, a lot of the negative stuff they say about it is not true.

DETRIA: That depends on where you live. In Colorado, Suboxone was about $15 a month more than Subutex. Not that much of a price difference here.

DANI: As far as there being any difference in the efficacy of Suboxone VS Subutex, there shouldn't be. The active ingredient in both of them is Buprenorphine, the only difference being whether the Naloxone is in there or not. The Bupe is the same. BUT....I was never able to take Suboxone because of my reaction to the Naloxone. I am a migraine sufferer, as well as having chronic nausea. The Naloxone made both of those worse. I was on Suboxone for about a week, and was nauseous and having headaches the whole time. I felt TERRIBLE. So the Dr. switched me to Subutex and the sickness went away. I didn't know much about Bupe at the time, so it definitely was not in my head. I didn't care whether I was on Suboxone, Subutex or whatever. I just wanted help. But the Naloxone DEFINITELY made me feel horrible. So while yes, Bupe is Bupe, and that part shouldn't be any different, the Naloxone can definitely make you sick if you have a sensitivity to it, or if you have a pre-existing condition like I did. That Naloxone exacerbated my nausea and headaches to the point where I was just going to go back to Methadone. Switching to the Subutex completely fixed the problem. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I don't understand. Why wouldn't any insurance pay for a doctors appointment? Seems to me that your doctor is doing something he/she isn't supposed to be doing, like giving you the drug without the proper license. There's no reason that anyone has to pay cash
