How To Snort The New Formula Opana Er (Page 27)

I became a pain patient after I fell off a horse in March of last year and sustained spinal injuries which are still VERY painful. Opana ER was the first thing doctors gave me that helped at all and now that they have changed the formula I'm in a lot more pain. I want to break down the formula so I can insufflate it, as I am told I may get more pain relief and increase bioavailability of the drug. The new formula hardly offers the same pain relief, Please help me!

Where did all the regulars go? Being in the same boat as many here opana is not a glorified hydrocodone for me. Be careful when people ask questions as what works for one may not for the other. Opana has changed but ask doc for generic which has come back. It does not have the nasty coating that Endo labs puts out. VK miss seeing you on here. Hope all is well. Think you've gone since this forum has changed to snirting, up the pills, dremel tools and the like.

Hey I was just curious as to how to fully enjoy these new opana 40's. I am going to attempt to try n break one down as to where I can't get up like I can with Oxy. Also could use the hook-up if any extra are coming out each month.

i myself take the new 20mg the green opaner they are like concrete, i was thinking that due to i dont have a gallbladder, could that reason, that my body is unable to break them dowm, so they can work. i feel the oxycodone every little not due to the change in the meds. but the green opanan. they just dont work. could this be a problem are they just dont work. i am at my ends with them. your feed back would help;

Can you explain you method of getting pain relief from my opana 20 er , I just switched from mscontin to opana er. I do like that it does not make me sleepy at all compared to the morphine. I have bad R.a. , I don't like to take my Cain in public on days I can barely walk. At least I get Percocet for break though pain only 2 a day. I did notice the first week I took them i didn't need my Cain it was wonderful. I couldn't tell I had taken anything , unlike morphine gives you a therapeutic warm feeling when it starts working. But now on week 2 of the opana er , I am only getting relif when I take a percocet with it but I just get 2 a day, so I'm limited to a few good hour a day. The doctors and pharmacist think opana er last 12 hours that's a joke. So I'm egar to try your method untill my next dr appt . Other wise I will be misrible for another 18 days.

Hi there Bob... How have you been doing? I miss Vktoria too! She always had good postings and knew how to make me feel better! Haven't heard from her since the website changed, hopefully she will be back on sometime soon! The postings have been a bunch of crap... they are mostly about abusing narcotics and what orifices to put them into, to get the best high! Uggh! It's frustrating! Honestly, I just hope they get help!

Hi Bob,

Don't know if you remember me, I remember you. Sorry haven't posted much, took a bad turn and I'm pretty much home bound (bed & sofa) mostly. I'm actually on home hospice but it's been the only way to relieve my pain & keep me out of the hospital. Otherwise the limits on home meds & the expense is impossible, so I have 4 mos. on hospice left, hoping to go into remission again. I had ZERO relief on Opana IR & it was a FORTUNE. Threw away 240 pills b/c it also gave me a horrible reaction so I'm still on Fentanyl patches which really help, they do cause me to be pretty tired (hard to tell how much is from illness, but I know the Fentanyl is a big part of it). My doctor told me I just can't tolerate Opana but if I could have, he said lots of the generics do not work the same and I know it's true (no matter what the drug companies say). Have a different experience on different brands of Fentanyl too, currently generic doesn't last 3 days, some I can tell they wear off 10 hours early, the pain kicks in so bad so now they give me Fentanyl "lollipops", they don't taste good (haha), but they work super fast and gives the nurse time to call and get instructions for medications generally before the lollipop wears off. I am holding at 75 mcg, above that and I just sleep all day & night except to wake up in horrible pain so that's not really a life. These lollipops allow me more control and more privacy which I'm grateful for. It's really sad what these threads have turned into, haven't been back for awhile and it's this very thing that forces people like me into hospice, etc. b/c of the rampant abuse. I don't think people would abuse these medications if they didn't have a problem so I don't know what the answer will be for the rest of us who don't but REALLY need these meds to have any quality of life. For those of you who wonder what could hurt so bad (like I even used to), the bone pain feels like you've shattered your back & spine, it's the kind of pain that brings you to hysterical crying and you sometimes wish for death. The b/t pain just surges instantaneously and lasts for 20-40 min. and I have 6-8 episodes a day and they are crippling and it makes me not want to go anywhere b/c I will drop to my knees and cry or scream b/c it catches me by surprise. There is no euphoria, when the pain begins to retreat, it's such a relief, there are no words. So for those of you that want to just get high, remember someone like us is not getting relief b/c you have our ration of meds and in the end, what does it get you? I've seen so many addicts at my PM doctor's office & he's so nice to them, no matter how belligerent they behave b/c they are sick too, so I guess I'm conflicted b/c no one ever says I want to grow up to be a drug addict. Just wish our government would understand that for too many years pain relief was INADEQUATE, that is a big reason for the increase in use of pain meds, b/c the 5th vital sign of pain was added (thank goodness) and so it would only make sense that more medicines would be RX'd, developed and unfortunately there will be some people that develop addictions and those that are just abuser's (recreational users). That's with everything though, and we don't stop making cookies b/c people get fat and develop heart disease, there are always going to be people that take advantage in all areas of life. The only thing I feel is lacking is adequate patient education on narcotic use and carefully monitoring other meds and these rubbish CVS & Walgreen's commercials where the pharmacist ACTS like they have all the time in the world to help their customers - they don't and when they are not busy they still don't help as they should. I have been lucky, my pharmacist is a sweetheart & always checks on me and wishes me well, it means so much to have the support. Excuse my rant or whatever this is, just so happy to feel a bit better today & lonely, been cooped up for way too long. hey i have been a pain sufferer for over 12 years from 3 failed back surgeries and i have got better and longer relief from snorting so don't be calling chronic pain sufferers junkies just because they get better relief in different ways... besides the hose clamp trick or any other trick won't work

I read ur story and want to try it about the opana but I have two questions plz . First, where did you get ur 30 cc syring? Also, by inserting so much fluid even if u lay down doesn't it come back out wen u stand up and with the liquid the meds also? Much appriciated.

Suboxone helped me get off Opana I go to Prestera with a lot of older people who have severe pain including myself, and it helps with the pain plus IM not high from it.

which opana can you break down? they gave me opana er tablets 15mg but the ones with 262 and a half moon on them you can break down those are the ones i need i got into a big argument with the pharmicist at cvs any help please how do i get the er ones do i have to specifically tell them to order them?

Tell the phrarmist you want generic the Er comes out whole in your stool. Or go to Walgreens but you look like a junkie asking for moons dude. They know the difference

Its junkies like you that make it so hard on people that are in real honest to God pain to get prescriptions for pain. Why don't you just leave the prescription meds to the people that really need them.

THANK YOU FOR THE POST I HAVE GONE THRU CANCER WITH OTHER PAIN ISSUES AND THE HARD OPANAS ARENT ANY GOOD AT ALL,DOES IT EVER DISOLVE AND HELP YOU I HAVE GOT TO GO A WHOLE MONTH IN PAIN BUT INSURANCE ONLY WONTS TO PAY FOR THE GEL KIND SOME HAVE REALLY MESSED IT UP 4 OTHERS IT IS HARD FOR THEM TO WEED OUT THE ABUSERS IF IT WOULD HELP ID SNORT IT TOO!

If you were able to quit 'cold turkey' and we're fine after 5-7 days then you were barely addicted and very fortunate. If you take opiates for a long enough period of time your brain basically gets re wired to require them, your body can no longer regulate temp and stops producing serotonin which as most people know is required to be happy. In 1990 I was a passenger in a 1990 honda civic and a drunk driver broadsided us going 105mph, he hit us on my side so needless to say I got hammered. I was actually paralyzed for 63 days from the waste down and was told I'd never ride or race Motocross or Jet Skii's ever again in fact the doctors said I would have to relearn to walk which I eventually did but the damage was done. The accident left me with fractured L3,L4,L5 and S1 and 3 compression fractured in my neck. I was luck to find a specialist who was an MD and went back to school to become a chiropractor. This man also became one of the top doctors using supplements also. Long story short he had me back racing Motocross 1 day short of the 1 year anniversary of my accident. This man was a true miracle worker. He had me on short acting opiates, Norco 10/325's then would switch me to Lortabs every 30 days then back to Norco all the while he also had me on a pretty heavy supplement regimen including a butt load of proflavinol (grape seed extract). Eventually the norco's & lortabs became less and less effective so we moved on to morphine then on to Oxy 30's then up to Oxy 60's which worked for a long time. Eventually I decided that I wanted to stop being an addict which after 10yrs of taking opiates every single day I obviously was. I was lucky enough to have put away around $67k in saving so I could take a few months off to kick my opiate addiction. I went cold turkey, and for 4 months life was hell, I was more sick after 4 months than I was after. 4 days. Finally I saw a specialist who basically told me that I would forever need some kind of opiate of I would feel like this forever. 15years of taking pills screws with the receptors in your brain. I asked if there was anything else I could try and he told me about a drug that was just in testing phases called subutex which was the same as suboxone but without the opiate blockers added. I became patient number 23 in California trials, the 8mg subutex worked pretty good, then my dr said if you crush and snort them they work way better and way faster which as it turns out is 100% true. I recommend anyone who is trying to get off all these opiates ask their dr about subutex. The nice thing is if you have serious breakthrough pain and need a strong opiate you can still take it with the subutex.

It's not illegal to snort your medication, I'm not going to go into what I do for a living just to say. I know the law and I got shot while on duty and I'm now taking 80mg OPs two or three at a time with no effect when one 30 up intranasaly did half the trick, noone wants a OPinion or a preacher just pain relief sure some people want to get high but why? Maybe they're in pain to noone is here to judge just help
