I took 100 mg of Tramadol last Thursday and have to have a urine test at my pain doc next Thursday (2 weeks between dosage and test). I was wondering if anyone has been tested positive after that long?

I was addicted for 12 years...my habbit got me from a small amount of oxycodone and oxycontin to 20mgs of xanex and 15 30 mg of roxis and 6 40 mg of opana a day just to be normal..i used suboxone for a year then quit subs cold turkey which wasn't that bad for me but with the benzos it took a long time and the detox was long and painful so you may say I don't know what I'm talking about that's probably cuz you're still f****** wallowing in your addiction.

What med does your Pain Management Dr prescribe? I take it that they do not prescribe the Tramadol? To be honest with you I would not take anymore between now and then. Yes is will all be out of your system. If your having break through pain that bad.. you need to tell them that so they can either bump your mg up or change it to something that will help you more. I see Pain Management myself. I wish I could get off both of my pain prescriptions and just feel better. I hate being dependent on Opiates.

When I posted I was speaking of my own addictions. It was bad getting off of benzos, horrible but I did not have a problem with suboxone. It saved my life from oxycodonre and oxycontin. What I guess I was trying to say is if you are on suboxone to treat your herion or opioid addiction why take tramadol it is still considered an opioid and yes it does work while you are on suboxone as it is a different make up from oxycodone.
I just hope everyone trying to get clean does and everyone who needs tramadol for their health uses it wisely but I cant speak for anyone as I was addicted for 12 years before I got clean and so far for a long time it was my first attempt and I remember the detox for benzos so I have not gone back to either...I wish everyone here the BEST as it is not easy

Kenny, Not its not a narcotic as of yet. However they are treating it now as one. The med is a good medication if taken the way its supposed to be. What has happened is this....... The just classified it just a few months ago as a Sch 4 narcotic. From what others have told..... They have not yet got as hard on it as they do others in SCH IV. Like I said its a great medication for what its intended for. As for how long it stays in your system what everyone is saying and my Dr stated about 48-36 hours and this is not taking it every day. If the person is healthy most of the time its out. If not it could take a little longer. Drink allot of fluids .... and stay off of it. If you can make it without taking it daily..... then anyone taking it while not prescribed the med can go ahead and quit. Which is best. Any time anyone has been taking this and its not theirs to begin with ....will get used to it. Then if you are prescribed it.... you will feel it don't work good enough. Allot goes into people taking meds that are not prescribed for them. So if you can make it without them......do so. Yes you can get hooked. They used to think people would not......but they have and do after a while. And they do check for it now It will show up positive for Benzo;s.
Its a man made opiate. Syntheic. Not the real stuff.

My doctor does a 14 panel, which includes tramadol AND allcohol. I know. I found out the hard way. They have a 3 strike policy and I'm on the last one.
