How Long Does Tramadol Stay In Your System (Page 6) (Top voted first)

I took 100 mg of Tramadol last Thursday and have to have a urine test at my pain doc next Thursday (2 weeks between dosage and test). I was wondering if anyone has been tested positive after that long?

Alcohol can show up in your urine for up to 2 weeks after the last drink. It changes it's form as the liver and kidneys are processing the sugars.

I was told 2 months ago at the Emergency Room that Tramadol is now a Narcotic.

My doc just took me off vicodin and put me on Ultram to get me off narcotics

if you see an older lady or gentleman on tramadol because the dr has precribed it ,* then you will see 4 yourself if its a narcotic!
I saw what it was doing to my father after just a half one and he was in his late 70s and no one can convince me that its not and it can be highly addictive and the drawbacks are nothing to ignore !

Taking a suboxone and opiate together WILL make you sick. Know from personal experience more then once. Have struggled w an opiate addiction for years and have taken the both together. And EVERYTIME, same result, got really sick n usually lasts all day. So if you plan on being an i**** like me better have a bucket beside you at all times.

Just had a hip replacement. Doctor gave me a prescription for Tramadol HCL (50 mg) 1 to 2 tablets, 4-6x per day. As I was told it was not a narcotic (but please don't relive that argument) I decided to take 2 tablets 4x per day and have been for the last 2 days. Now doing research, I learn that maximum dosage is 400 mg per day (vs the 600 that I've been taking). It has controlled the pain so I can do exercises but I am experiencing itching all over my body, some loss of concentration, difficulty in urinating and constipation. I'm going to reduce the dosage to 1 tablet every 6 hours (200 mg per day). Any thoughts as to how long it will take to reduce the concentration in my system and are there things I can do to speed up that process.

Not totally true. I get tested monthly by my doc also and I was Gave tramadol at the E room for my arm and I didn't have be to see my doc for 2 & a half more weeks so it didn't even cross my mind that it would show up and it did which is why I'm looking this up now. Also they say the bigger you are the longer it could stay. Well I'm only 145 lbs at 5' 11" so I don't know how it showed up but it did and I have in passed taken hydrocodone and passed a drug test 4 days later before. Both times I had only taken the hydros the day and the tramadol the one day so it wasn't on regular basis so I'm confused on how it showed up. Per test. Luckily I had papers in my car showing why I had went to the E room and explained that they gave me s tramadol and doc was ok with it

You can not take tramadol while on methadone. It will put you into withdrawl. Ask the doc or nurses at your clinic they will tell you that it's a bad idea.

Hi there I am having teeth out next week and the doctor is giving me some diazapam as I am very nervous. The thing is I have been taking 2 x 50 mg tramadol a day for a number of years for arthiritis. I'm a bit scared what will happen when I take these. p.s. I also take 7 x 100 mg gabapantin a day for chronic migraine. I have never been on here before and am a 59 year old woman. Thank you.

THE DEA CLASSIFIES TRAMADOL AS ASCHEDULE IV NARCOTIC. IT is a synthetic opiate. Get off the google ppl ur library is much more reliable and not open source.

I was just given Tramadol by my doctor and this medication was recently listed as a NARCOTIC. I stopped taking it last night (Saturday - took none) and still today, I have an awful side effect....I can't walk straight, my coordination is way off, and if I turn my head from side to side or up and down, everything I see moves. I came in here to find out how long it will take for this medication to get out of my system because I can't drive or even walk. I'm hoping this is not a lasting side effect. This stuff is horrible.

In Minnesota Tramadol IS A SCHEDULED 2 NARCOTIC. I am on it and have to be tested so he can see I I am or am not taking it before he gives me another prescription.

I am on percocet, Ganapentin, baclofen, and a few others. Termdol for break through med recently by surgeon. ..not a junkie I have spinal cord damage due to part tumor removal. Anyway my point I told pain management dr. I was told don't bother it will do nothing for you and is now a narcotic. And I can not tell if I took it or not. They may keep it. Dr said has to do with how much pain you are in. If it is high you won't notice you even took it.

Actually in some states it is a scheduled narcotic. You have to look up your state and see if it is a narcotic.

Ok Now in Virginia its considered a Schedule 2 drug. It just passed here making it one. It was never one before. It does work well on most peoples pain as long as they are not addicted to another medication like Codone etc... This is one drug people started misusing and now they had to classify it as a Schedule II. That is sad. Because you can not have refills.... you have to have a script in hand and take it to the Pharmacy yourself along with a picture ID to get your medications now.

I took suboxone. You can not take narcotics while on subs. The nalaxone blocks the mu receptors where you Brain receives the opiods. Best bet is too get the off the meds, especially if you don't have a script. Although you can show your script to potential employers do you need them to know that you are taking 10 oxys a day or xanex cause you can't handle stress..just sayin . .
