How Long Does Soma Stay In Your Urine (Top voted first)
UpdatedHow long does Soma stay in your urine?? My dr's office has a new machine that can detect ANYTHING even o.t.c meds.. I'm not suspose to be taking the soma anymore but its the only thing that helps me with my nerves & pain!! Also..does anyone know if it is a "controled substance" now?? I know whn I WAS perscribed to Soma..they was NOT controlled!!???
Just answer the question. The last thing a addict needs is a on line intervention from people who think their helping. It's untraceable after a day in urine depending on metabolism and fat. So someone around 190lbs and 15% body fat, recreational use, would be clean under 24 hours. If you wana help, be a friend first. Then try helping. I had to hit rock bottom, on world wide live TV.
I have to take a urine test at the suboxone clinic. I'm on somas. Not sure if it is a 10 or 12 panel. I don't want to lose my suboxone. Help me....
CEEPS: As with any drug, the amount you consume depends on the time it will be in your system. I am prescribed to SOMA and know for a fact that it is now considered a controlled substance. Anything you have to show a photo ID for at the pharmacy is also. This is just a guess, but I would think it takes 3-4 days to get out of your system. The good news is that Soma, along with a few other drugs have to be specifically tested for. 5, 7, 10, and 12 panel tests don't test for them. The other drugs that have specific tests are Suboxone and Seroquil, that I'm personally aware of. I hope this helps answer your question.
I am on a suboxone program. I get urine tests atleast once a month. I have to sign papers when I give them my urine. My Dr can now tell if I've been taking my klonipin or if its Xanax. It's sent to the lab. I started taking somas on the 24 of January. I only take a half maybe a whole a day if I take them. I'm 135 lb. Any idea how long it'll take to be out of my system?
Soma is, indeed, a schedule IV controlled substance now. It didn't used to be, but has been since Jan 12, 2012 when the DEA changed the classification nationwide. Prior to that, some states already had it as a controlled substance. It was changed because of the high potential for abuse and addiction.
As for the tests? Soma is a muscle relaxant, but it also acts as a mild analgesic, too. The whole reason it's now a controlled substance is because it became a popular drug that wasn't found on the standard drug screens. If your doctor doesn't want you taking them...but you're still having issues with nerves or pain... tell the doctor and work together to find another option. I'm not so sure that Soma is an effective medication for nerves OR pain. It's meant to relax muscles. There are many, many other medications out there that can probably address to the problem. If your doctor isn't willing, I suggest finding a doctor who specializes in pain management who is willing to help you. As a side note, if your doctor wants to find out if you've been taking the Soma when you shouldn't, he'll find out... there are tests that look for it specifically, and he may very well order it based on your history. There are plenty of tests that will show it, if they're looking for it. I wouldn't be surprised if it is added to that standard narcotic panels in the future.
I go to a pain management doctor once a month who prescribes me Norco, Soma and Tramadol. He also does a urine test every month for those 3 drugs. There have been times that I've ran out a couple of days before my appointment and they've always shown up in the test after 1 year of having a test every month. I don't know if this helps. It's just my situation.
This isn't necessarily true. That "C" may appear on the labels for prescriptions filled in the specific states that have labeling requirements like that, and sometimes nationally (in the US) as a matter of corporate labeling practice for some of the national drug stores/pharmacies.
I agree! Hate people trying to teach others a "lesson".
Eddy, you'd need to call the pharmacy that printed the label and ask them. Every state and pharmacy is different in how they label things outside of federal requirements. For example, for medications filled at a Wal-Mart (in California) if you still have refills remaining, there will be an asterisk right in front of the Rx#. For example Rx# *1234567 -- but if there are no refills left, there will be no asterisk. this won't be true, for example, if you get your prescriptions from RiteAid. They don't use the asterisk notation. So symbols and letters may just be a pharmacy specific notation or shorthand. You really need to call them and ask.
Straight to the point! Thank you!!!!!
I am 116lbs with a fast metabolism and my PM doc tested for it specifically in addition to the standard panel test. It showed up still in high levels after 3 days of not taking any.
They show in mt drug test possible for Soma.. Yes its a Sub.. Abbuse muscle relaxor... Help my back n body big time.. But My dr... WILL NOT Prescribed them ....
Re: Nuwali (# 5)
You got right to the point and didnt try to be doctor phill. I love your reply.
I don't see a C?
Thanks for the help trying to find out bc my PO uses a 17 panel which somas do show up on on!!!
Unless they do urine test for all drugs it won't show on a simple 5 to 9 or 12 panel test. It's not all water soluble which means stays in longer than water soluble.. For regular water soluble that's fine in 3 days. Regular long tern usage of Soma is more like 4 or 5 days. The less body fat you have plus more hydrated the faster, like 3 to 4 but otherwise 4 to 6 max.
It stays in your system for 3 to 4 days, I was tested by urine test today. It did show up, so yes some places do test for it.
What about Xanax?....you are by far the most straight forward person I've come across.
The "C" doesn't mean it's controlled. If the scrip has the physicians DEA number on the bottle, it's controlled.
