Yes there are specific tests for it. Where did you get your information? They also can test the level of it in your system. It doesn't show up in your average drug tests, they have to use a special, and from what I've heard expensive, separate test. That's the test you have to take when you are prescribe suboxone. You should research more before you post answers, as people may be wrongly affected.

There is a test and it is on the 14 panel tests...take tests once a week know for a fact

Suboxone IS An OPIOID.!!!! It has a very long half life. It has also Nalaxone(narcan). An opiate block with a very short half life to discourage iv use. Narcon is used to reverse overdose of opioid. Usually heroin in iv drug users. I wish ppl would not post unless they know what they are talking about

Definitely not! Not all employment tests for thus but probation and parole departments DO! I'm on probation and am tested regularly

Alexis I don't know where you got your information dear but suboxone is in fact a half opiate.you should get your information right before you start posting opineeedadweaions like you're some doctor. and to answer your question suboxone stays in your system for 15 days not 5. check your facts.

I know for a fact that yes there is. Maybe not a home test but there is a test that does show suboxone.

Yes it does. Shows up on a 14 pannel drug test. They have to test for it. Usually they do not unless they are tipped off that it's being used. But it does show up.

Part of suboxone IS an opiate, and part is an a to gain st (blocker of opiates) I always heard if you do opiates near time of suboxone, you will go into immediate terrible withdraws MY experience is if you take a sub, then an opiate hour later, day later - you just waste the opiate cuz it will be blocked So I have taken pills later in the day, after a sub- no withdrawl, but no benefit to taking the opiate pill So what ppl must be referring to is: taking a sub close after taking an opiate would put you in immediate withdrawl, so I've never done that My friend has been on subs for a couple years She had a baby, and all doctors were aware of her med I was in the hospital room when the nurse came in and gave her, her usual dose sub AND 2 5 g perks at the same time ??? So seeing that, I would "think" if you took a sub after an opiate, withdrawl would not occur I always, always heard a sub after an opiate equals immediate withdrawl But I know personally that a sub first, followed by an opiate equals no withdrawls, but blocks the opiate, so it's just a waste US differ If they just read the results from a label on the specimen test is probably less accurate than when the urine gets sent to a lab My experience: did 20 30 g oxygen a day for over a year - did one 8 mg sub for 4 days equals no withdrawls and no more oxygen "habit" I also have used 1 mg methadone "tablet", took 1 first day, 1 am and 1 pm on day 2 one on days 3 and 4 with no withdrawls symptoms even after such high use of oxys. The protagonist in my area is have to be off subs for Def 10 days before you can start Vivitrol so, I'd how long in urine, plus cup vs out to lab Now ya got to worry about buccal swabs, that's another test they are doing and send to a lab no idea

Then why did my Son do two yrs in prison for testing positive for subs? Bc he was teeing to help himself, the justice system didn't care about that, they just wanted to lock a guy away for helping himself, SO YES, THERE ARE TESTS FOR SUBOXONE.

ACTUALLY, suboxone is opiate based medication the naloxone is the opiate blocker, if you research it, it will tell you buprenorphine is the opiate and the naloxone is the blocker. that it works in the pain receptacles in the brain. that is why it is used for getting off opiates due to the fact it binds so well in the brain, i have been through a 9hr back surgery and now it is prescribed for pain mngmt, and believe me when i say IT WORKS, i would encourage everyone with pain issues and are tired of the hampster wheel when your on pain pills to give this medication a try. i went from 16 methadone (prescribed) a day then to 90mg of morphine to 2-8mg suboxone a day it has been almost a year and i honestly thank GOD for this med. because it given me my life back,and no medication is going to take chronic pain away completely.

Suboxone does and will show up on a drug test! I had a saliva test done on me and it came up w bupe and something else. My dr thought I was on a pain patch?! But it was tested by a lab.

Very wrong! Do not pass go and definitely do not collect $200, please make sure to do legitimate research and also experience of the best teacher! Do not just listen to people(hearsay)! Subs/buprenorphine are detected thru urine but only if they are testing for the buprenorphine enzyme that is secreted! The half life on subs is very long so give yourself plenty of time if you are in fact being specifically tested for buprenorphine! I'm on special probation in one of the largest counties in the country!! They can detect alcohol up to 8 days after your last drink, sho that tells you how in depth these tests are! However they do not test for Buprenorphine so it does not show up at all! Like I said if you're worried about the testing then not taking a strip is the best way to avoid consequence!
